I just moved to the Sunnyvale Area. I wanted to check out this place, because it was close and had decent reviews. I worked with Holly. I had a pretty okay experience with her. Nothing too crazy she was kind and got me out of there swiftly. My friend however worked with two other women, whose names I cannot recall right now. Everything was great. Until we were about to pay and they kept asking for tip. I understand everyone has to make their money. But they were heckling us because it wasn't a good tip or up to their standards. Tipping is completely optional and if anything it's received when a good service is done. They didn't cut my cuticles or massage my hands or do anything out of the ordinary to which they should received a tip. It's unprofessional and unpleasant to experience this. Their shop wasn't the cleanest, it seemed like the use the same nail utensils for every client as well. I definitely will not be back. read more

This was my second visit using a Groupon, and the service standard has completely dropped. I called ahead to confirm a rescheduled time, yet when I arrived, I was told they were too busy and asked to come back later despite of having an appointment. After I pressed for a solution, they gave me an ultimatum: wait 20 minutes, cancel, or come back later. To make it worse, the attendant didn't even think of talking to me away from the current customers in the salon. It is clear they do not honor appointment times or value Groupon customers. I will not be returning due to this poor professionalism. read more

Service was nice and took about 30min to get gel nails take off and get top coat manicure done. Only missing star is the price as total was 35$ for gel nail take off and clear top coat mani which seems pretty high than usual. read more

Making an appointment was easy and prices match what I was charged. I used to go to this nail place a few years ago and stopped for many reasons. I went in today for a pedicure and I have had a little hard time getting my nails to go back quickly. I asked for powder on my toes to help give length which I have done before ( usually is my natural toenail cracks) no big issue but this time the girl did not want to at all which made me upset. I got my toes done for a vacation and upset how they came out. Yes I know powder isn't the best on toes but as mentioned before I do not do it ever unless I have a small crack on the toenail edges. She was a little rough while handling my feet during the process. I tried to give this business another try but may not return. I wanted my nails done to but I felt already judged enough that I decided not to. read more

I came in for a Brazilian, underarm and half leg wax. This place uses soft wax which shocked me because I have never had soft wax for my Brazilian area before. The underarm and half leg wax were done completely fine but the Brazilian was a nightmare. Not only was it painful because my skin wasn't held taut while the wax strip was removed, but I was left with bruising afterwards. I still have 20-30% of hair still on too. This was probably the worst experience I have ever experienced I did tip my waxer because she kept apologizing and she was really sweet but I DO NOT recommend this place for Brazilian. I'm sure everything else is fine though. read more

Meh. My regular nail tech at another salon was on vacation, so I tried this place since parking and availability were plentiful. The reviews looked good too, but I was not impressed by the nail tech and the service I received. I asked for hard gel with silver ombre cat eye on a royal blue base. What I got looked like a beginner's attempt - the ombre was not an ombre - it was like someone dipped my nails into silver sparkle gel, without a fade (no sponges used for an ombre look) and there was no cat eye effect at all. And yes, I showed a photo of what I wanted done before she started. In addition, there were only two nail techs working, and although I had an appointment, I wasn't seen until 20 minutes later. I could not wait to see my regular nail tech to get my nails redone a week later. read more

I called this nail salon to see if they could do a simple acrylic nail take off. The person on the phone said yes to come at 6pm which was about 45 mins away from when I called. Upon arrival, I stood at the front for about 5 mins before someone noticed I was even there. After that a lady came up to me and asked if I had an appointment and I said yes I had called to book for 6pm. There were 2 nail techs there. One of them was with a lady and her daughter and the other was doing nails separately. After about 40 mins of one of the techs looked at me and looked at the younger girl who still needed her nails done. The girl offered the lady to do my take offs which was so kind of her to do. While sitting I told the nail tech next time please don't tell us to come in at a certain time if you guys don't have the staff to support. She said sorry 1 lady was sick and 1 quit or something. I said I understand but please next time don't waste our time too you could've just said were busy come back another time or something. Im a mom and I scheduled this time specifically to fit in my schedule. The older nail tech seemed kinda overwhelmed and kind of with an attitude. I came in to get my 1st manicure. My manicurist is Trisha. She did a really good job with my nails. She prepped them and then she used Gel X. I chose Kat Eye in a red pink. Which is an additional 15$. And 2 nails to be regular color with design. Trisha showed me a pink that I liked and some stickers. Her hard work makes me happy. read more

Wow, I typically don't write negative reviews but this place was awful. My mom and I came in for a gel and hard gel appointment and it started and ended poorly. First off, the nail tech looked at me like I was crazy when I told her I'm here for hard gel. I guess she only knows builder gel. Anyway, throughout the manicure service she kept efiling aggressively, yanking my hand toward her, and scraping excess polish and gel from my cuticles with her own nails like she was trying to cut me or something. My mom's service with her nail tech was just as bad. Her gel color is flooded into her cuticles and it looks like a toddler did it. Afterwards, she asked about 7 times if I wanted to leave a tip. Wow, I would stay away from this place. I'm for sure never coming back. read more

Previously Melange Nail Salon, now Amore Nail Lounge with a nice facelift. They're slowly renovating and reducing the clutter from the front of the salon. The front counter is totes minimalist and chic. Added specialized services for pedicures - the puppies need some extra love and attention, A1. Callous treatment here is by far the most consistent of the salons in the area. Trust - I have gone to a few in the area. I've been to this salon multiple times, typically spending around $160 per visit including a 25-30% tip, so this experience was disappointing. I called ahead to say I would be about 10 minutes late. I was told that because I booked via ClassPass, I would either need to pay an additional $15 to keep the appointment or cancel. Based on that, I canceled through ClassPass -- which resulted in over $50 in cancellation fees for two services. What makes this frustrating is the inconsistency. On a previous visit, I waited 15-20 minutes because the salon was running late, with no compensation or adjustment offered. The communication during this interaction also felt unprofessional -- being addressed as "honey" and "my friend" while discussing extra charges felt dismissive. I understand that businesses have policies, but they should be applied fairly and communicated transparently. This felt one-sided and unnecessarily costly for a returning customer. read more

This was my first time here and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Tiffany was so sweet, patient, and welcoming, even though I came in right when the shop was almost closing. She never rushed me and truly took her time to make sure everything was perfect. My French tips came out so clean, elegant, and cute. You can tell she really cares about her work and her clients. I'll absolutely be coming back to get my nails done with Tiffany. If you're booking an appointment, definitely ask for her. read more

I got two services done at Amore today. I had actually initially booked a gel pedi on ClassPass and decided to add a builder gel set for my birthday set! Rose did my pedicure and she was very gentle. I have no cuts or abrasions but my feet feel soft and my toes look great! Tiffany did my builder gel set, she was very meticulous in getting the base set up and the shaping. The design was a challenge, she let me know it wouldn't be exactly the same. But she tried really hard and got it super close it looks awesome! My set was $85 but the design was $30 the builder gel set is $55 base. I would definitely give them a try if your browsing for a new salon :) read more

Rose taught me that my toe nails especially the big toe needs to be cut square in order to prevent ingrown toe nails. she was able to fix my current almost in grow nail and get them back on track to proper growth. All the safe is friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable! read more

I gave a 5 star rating initially on google maps. I am changing my review now, It's just been two days and the color is peeling off already. I booked an appointment for Gel Pedicure (1 hour as per the website) but it was completed in 30 minutes. I got my gel pedi done by Rose. She was super friendly and the atmosphere was clean and relaxing. If you are visiting make sure if it's been done correctly. I usually give my feedback within 2-3 days of my service but she insisted to give review while doing the service. read more

Was upsold to a higher priced pedicure-the lemon one, was just looking for paraffin wax to be included. It was included on all pedicures except the express pedi. I was charged $69 for the lemon pedi and an additional $12 for the paraffin wax, I decided to add eyebrows and a body waxing service - not sure if it was a language barrier or her unwillingness to do the job or the wax wasn't hot enough. But I was in there an awfully long time & had to go back after leaving the room the first time to find her & let her know it wasn't quite what I was looking for, just not pleased at the end of the day. It feels yucky to think that you are being taken advantage of. read more

I came across this salon off yelp and things went well. I had a gel pedicure with french for I believe 60 and a fill with french white V-tip for I believe 60 as well. I took one star off for how long this took... I was there for over 2 hours and 3 different people did my fill. One did some of the filing when I was in the chair for a pedicure, then she moved to help someone else, then the one who did my pedicure did my fill, then the owner took over to finish painting. The quality is great! Just wish it didnt take as long. read more

Took my 91 year old Mother to Amore for her very first ever pedicure with Rose. Rose was so amazing with her, with all her expertise of nail care for the elderly, she was very caring explaining every step of the process with her fun and uplifting personality. Rose did a beautiful pedicure for my Mom and my Mom left very happy, as did I. I had Trina for my pedicure and she was also wonderful and did a really beautiful job for me too! So happy we went to Amore Nail Lounge! They have new regulars now and I would definitely recommend them! read more

Highly recommend this nail salon! The manager was super attentive to my first set of gelx nails in a long time! I wasn't 100% sure what to get and we worked together to go create some cool nail art for my trip to Japan :) if you're ever in the area and looking for trustworthy nail technicians I'd recommend giving them a chance! PS my nails have stayed on for more than 3 weeks which is amazing! read more

Overall, I've had mostly positive experiences here, but I hope they can improve on being more gentle and attentive with clients.

I'd never tried this service before, but it's honestly like the new (and better!) way to do acrylics -- lightweight, durable, and looks amazing on natural nails. They're also very kind, not too chatty which apparently some people mistake for being rude, but they're very nice ladies. 11/10 would recommend, but definitely make an appointment because it's a little small.

I came in for a pedicure with regular polish and a gel manicure. The pedicure was mediocre but acceptable, but the manicure was a complete disaster. During the manicure, the technician cut my finger so badly that it wouldn't stop bleeding. She became visibly flustered, wasn't wearing gloves, and my blood ended up all over her fingers. It was unsanitary and incredibly uncomfortable. The quality of the manicure itself was terrible. My nails were filed into uneven, lopsided shapes that weren't symmetrical. She then proceeded with my gel manicure but skipped several of the basic prep steps that are essential for proper gel application. I get gel manicures regularly, so I know the process, and she completely missed some of the key steps. The polish application was also poor. It was so thin that you could still see my natural nails through it. I had to ask them to redo the manicure, which turned my appointment into a nearly two-hour ordeal. When I tried to bring my concerns to the staff, no one seemed to understand me--or they pretended not to. I eventually gave up trying to explain. At checkout, they took a little over $10 off my bill. At the time I accepted it, but after telling my husband everything that had happened, we both agreed the discount didn't come close to making up for the experience. A few days later the gel manicure peeled off in one piece, which is a clear sign it wasn't applied correctly. Then, a couple weeks later I went to a different salon for a pedicure. Since I thought I had regular polish on my toes, they started trying to remove it with regular nail polish remover. That's when we discovered it wasn't regular polish at all--it was gel. I never asked for gel on my toes. Not only had they applied the wrong service, but it had also been applied incorrectly. I ended up having to pay an additional $5 just to have the unexpected gel removed before my pedicure could begin. Between being cut until I bled, the uneven nail shaping, the poorly applied gel manicure, being given gel on my toes instead of the regular polish I requested, the extra time, and having to spend even more money to fix their mistake, this was easily one of the worst salon experiences I've had. I won't be returning and cannot recommend this salon.

The pedicure itself was fine, but while I was sitting there, more and more people kept coming in even though existing clients were not finished. It was obvious they were overbooking. After my pedicure, which was not even completed since my toes were not painted yet, I was told to wait another 25 minutes. At that point it was already close to noon. I left briefly to grab coffee and came back at 12:35 PM. They still were not ready. I ended up waiting about an hour, not the 25 minutes I was told. My 10:30 AM appointment did not end until 2:00 PM. That is 3.5 hours. I even told them to skip painting my nails just so I could leave sooner, and it still took that long. At checkout, I said I would not be paying full price due to the excessive wait. One staff member was apologetic, but another stepped in and insisted I pay full price, clearly annoyed that I even asked for a discount. Only after pushing back did they take 10 dollars off. I paid 105 dollars for a 3.5 hour appointment that was not even fully completed. This place is disorganized, overbooks aggressively, and does not respect customers' time. A 10 dollar discount for this experience is honestly insulting. Would not come back. Would not recommend.
