One of the best doc visits I have ever had. I found Dr. Larian searching for dermatologists on my insurance website and then looking through Yelp reviews. It is true, he is pretty much one of the nicest doctors I have ever experienced. I went to Dr. Larian to check out some hyperpigmentation on my lips that I was worried about. The wait was not long and Dr. Larian has amazing bedside manner. He spent plenty of time with me asking me about the history of the issue and how it felt. He looked at my lip for under 2 seconds because I think he was able to identify it as a healing allergic reaction pretty quickly. He gave me some samples to use to heal any remaining inflammation and protect my lips from the sun. I was in and out with a solution (that I hope works) and no need to hit a pharmacy for a giant tube of something I only need a bit of. I wish every doctor's appt. went this easily! PS: Parking was a little confusing. There is a tiny parking lot directly behind the offices, so you need to go around on either side street and drive through the alley in the back. Otherwise, you can street park. P.S.S: One thing I have to mention that grossed me out: While in the waiting room, I went to get some water from a silver container they have and noticed the spout was covered in white stuff - rust or residue - but it was icky. Not sure why they haven't cleaned that. Besides that, the office was clean and I would definitely go back (with my own water)! read more

I've been to Dr. Larian's office twice and had great experiences both times. I went in because of eczema around my nose and mouth and mild adult acne that wasn't going away. When I met Dr. Larian he was so patient listening to everything I had to tell him and he was in no rush to hurry up and prescribe something so he could move to another patient. I know it can get really busy in doctor's offices and they seem to rush through patients at times, but I did not get that hasty treatment with Dr. Larian! He really listened to me and we talked about both eastern and western medicine. Dr. Larian prescribed Elidel for the eczema and Aczone for the acne. Both medications were able to reduce the problems, but after I completed sixteen liver cleanses from following Dr. Hulda Clark's recipe my acne has completely vanished! The amount of eczema I have has also greatly reduced and with every liver cleanse it keeps getting better. I plan to continue doing liver cleanses and I expect the eczema will disappear once I'm fully cleansed, but I still to use the Elidel on my face when the eczema flares up. If I ever have other skin issues I will definitely return to this office. The staff were always very friendly and helpful and the office looks clean. Dr Larian is awesome!!! I had 30+ plantar warts on the bottom of my right foot for about 8+ years. I tried every treatment I could Google. I even tried visiting a podiatrist who used a salycitic acid cream and it actually made it worse. Dr Larian was certain he could cure it by freezing them off---without surgical removal of any kind. He set the expectation up front that I'd have to come 5 to 6 times to get them refrozen until they were gone. At first, I thought he was nickel and diming me with setting up so many appointments, but he sure stuck to his word and in about 6 or so treatments I now have ZERO warts on my foot and no longer ashamed to show it when I'm barefoot. This review is only for Dr. Larian. I went to him twice to try to figure out my adult acne. The first time he just told me to continue with the topical cream that I was using from the previous dermatologist, which is fine. The second time, he immediately suggested birth control pills or another drug that's for patients with high blood pressure which can affect other organs. I had to do the research myself because he didn't inform me of potential side effects, and I don't think it's very thoughtful and rather dismissive to immediately try to prescribe birth control pills to a woman. And I'm not sure if it's because he's a male dermatologist and/or just being a typical male who tells a woman to pop a pill, regardless of consequences, to maybe 'take care of the problem', but that's what it felt like. His reaction and his remark after I said I didn't want to take birth control pills or anything with potentially harmful side effects, was very dismissive and he concluded by saying "... if you even need my help." read more

I came to Dr. Benest's office on a referral, but the wait to see her was months, and the wait for Dr. Larian was days. I decided to go with him to remove two moles in places that a previous dermatologist said would "have a high chance of keloid scarring." I didn't find much about him on the internet, and since you really don't want to skimp when it comes to cosmetic procedures, I was a bit worried. However, my experience with Dr. Larian was wonderful, and I had nothing to worry about. He makes you feel at ease, is both professional and friendly, and his work speaks for itself. I am very satisfied with the results, and although scarring can vary from individual to individual, he helped me greatly by introducing me to silicone sheets, which prevent and/or greatly reduce the chance of keloid scarring. Simple tips like that (which I didn't receive from a prior dermatologist who removed some moles on me) can really help you achieve the results you want, and I'm thankful to Dr. Larian for it. read more

i recently had a procedure with Dr Larian and couldn't be happier with the results. I had originally hoped to get an appt with Dr Benest but the wait for her was forever...so settled for Dr Larian - as they take my new insurance and are close to home. Dr. Larian saved my skin and gave me back my confidence. I am not exaggerating when I say this. I know everyone tells the same story "I tried everything and nothing worked". But I've TRULY done it all from antibiotics to peels and facials and cream...everything. Ive had moderate to severe acne since I was 14. I've been to so many doctors and everyone kept saying "you're last hope is Acutane". After years and years of never being able to clear my skin I became depressed about how I looked. It took such a toll on my confidence. It didn't matter how much makeup I caked on...those huge bumps can't be covered. In fact, the makeup would just make it look more prominent sometimes. So I finally came to a point where I was so upset that I didn't care about all the side effects that could possibly occur with Acutane and made an appointment to see Dr Larian as a new patient. Upon arriving, the staff was so kind on the phone. They got me in pretty quickly and I was so appreciative. Dr. Larian has awesome bedside manner, and really cared about helping me make my situation better. I told him my fears with accutane and he told me it was not my only solution. He gave me a remedy of antibiotics and topical solution. He even told me my skin would look worse before it got better (I know, that's the worst part). But he promised that it would clear in about 3 months if I stuck with it. And let me tell you, he was right! I've NEVER had skin like this. You wouldn't even know I had the horrible acne for all those years if you saw my skin now. My friends and family all keep telling me how amazed they are by it. I can't thank Dr. Larian enough! This review is specifically for Dr. Larian and members of the doctors office NOT Dr. Benest, with whom I believe he shares a practice. Truly the worst experience with any doctor or doctor's office in my life to date. I don't typically leave bad or personal reviews, but if I can save one person from the 2 week headache I just endured then I am willing to put it out there. If you don't read to the end, just know that the staff (and the doctor!) are incredibly rude, not responsive or helpful, one woman lied to get me off the phone and then I got yelled at by the doctor when I called out the staff person who lied. The whole story: From the moment I had my first appointment, it felt rushed and I left feeling a little underwhelmed and uninformed. I figured he seemed nice enough, I would just have faith and trust that the doctor knows what he's talking about. Well, unfortunately for me, the insurance company wouldn't cover the medication I was prescribed and it cost a small fortune! According to the pharmacist, they faxed the doctors office a request to have them speak with my insurance company to have them approve the prescription. Over a week and what must've been 10-15 phone calls later, there is still no movement. Every person (except for one woman named Liz) that I spoke with just went from rude to ruder. From being short with me and cutting me off to just plain old not returning my phone calls. Finally last friday a woman named Marielle called me to inform me that she had to sit on the phone with my pharmacist and go through "every medication I could think of" until they found one my insurance would cover (so sorry to inconvenience you!) and when I asked her was this because my insurance company denied their request she EXPLICITLY told me that "yes I already spoke with your insurance company and they won't do it you just have to get something else" I asked again if they told her why and she said that the insurance company doesn't have to give them a reason, they just refused their request. Needless to say, she never told me what the new medication was or explained how to use it or what it was in replacement of. I called my insurance company and they told me she never called. The doctor's office just LIED to me to get me off the phone! Or to just not deal with me? who knows... it all felt very strange. Who does that?? I finally spoke with Dr. Larian today thinking he would more than likely be disappointed and hopefully offer to sort it out with his staff and the insurance company but when I explained to him that this whole process has been really frustrating, at one point brought me to tears with a supervisor, and that his own employee lied to me and I was just exhausted and didn't know where to go from here, HE BLAMED IT ON ME AND THE PHARMACY!!!!!!!! HE BECAME IRATE! Here are some choice quotes (of course i'm paraphrasing but they're pretty accurate as this was just about and hour ago so it's still pretty fresh in my mind!) "The pharmacy faxed us the wrong information, this isn't MY fault! what do you want me to do about it now??" "She wouldn't lie to you - YOU just misheard her" "You felt rushed? no one EVER says that about me!" "I've apologized 20 times what more do you want??" "We never even gave you a new prescription obviously your pharmacy keeps messing up! They were never supposed to fill it!" ( What doctor calls a pharmacy to call in a prescription but tells them not to fill it?? keep in mind Marielle told me how loooong she had to be on the phone with them to find me a new medication, Does ANYONE in that office communicate or do they just not give a ....) IT WAS SURREAL. like the twilight zone. Really and truly. I almost started laughing at one point I was so stunned and uncomfortable. I wasn't even asking for an apology or for anyone to kiss my ass. I was hoping to just inform him of the bad communication and hopefully have him offer to help me fix it. If I owned a business I would be DEVASTATED that a customer would feel sad or frustrated or let down by my office. At the very least I would want to know if an employee lied to a patient! Well.... He didn't want to know. He raised his voice and talked over me the entire time, took absolutely NO accountability for their poor communication or errors (only placed all the blame on the pharmacy or me!) refused to believe that the woman in the office lied and just made it all my problem. I have never in my life spoken with an actual adult or professional so delusional and bratty. It was like speaking with a petulant child in the midst of a tantrum. He was more upset with me and I was the one with the problem! I still can't really believe it. Not ever going back. read more

I used to come to this office a lot but lately I been waiting an hour or more. This last time the receptionist called me at 9:55 asking me if I was coming because my appt was at 9:50, I said that I thought my appt was at 10 because thats what I put in my calendar. She said that I need to to reschedule because the doctor Larian its going to be on surgery if I can't make it soon. I said I'm 2 mins away I'll be there shortly. Don't have him go into surgery. She said ok. I'm here waiting again and I'm asking what's going on. The receptionist said.. He is in surgery.. I was like I told you that I was 2 mins away and I can't wait an hour and a half. Unbelievable. I don't recommend this place at all. They don't even apologize for the misunderstanding. I have been to Dr. Larian twice now for some moles on my torso that were concerning. He was absolutely professional, helpful, and extremely nice. My results came back 3 weeks after my initial visit and I scheduled a surgical removal of one of the moles for the following week (non-cancerous but wanted to be safe). I was very nervous about the procedure but Dr. Larian made it FAST, EASY, and PAINLESS. The office staff has always been a pleasure to deal with and their prices are pretty standard. Can't beat that! I went to see him about a rash that I had been experiencing and the appointment went very smoothly.
