Well...well...well. Since we have moved to Tennessee several years ago we haven't been able to find that "amazing" spot we have searched for. A comparison to the many favorites we had back home, until now. In fact, this place might be the BEST place we have been to in 20-25 years...no joke! The pizza is awesome. And I had the hanger steak wit gnocchi which was rich, but the cleanest most tasty dish I have had in many years! This place is incredible. On top of amazing food, the service is impeccable! We took a group here on a seemingly quiet Friday dinner (5 total of us). The pizza dough/crust and pasta taste wonderful. The sauces are severely overly salted. The burrata is a nice touch on top of the pasta, but does add to the highly salted taste. The pizzas are fine, if not a bit underwhelming as far as the toppings go. We selected sourdough crust for both. The smoked chicken alfredo is basically smoked salt flavor. The lamb bolognese is a terribly salty and the bison meatballs were dry with an under-seasoned (surprisingly) pasta sauce. The beer slushie was a hit and so was the pistacho gelato. Service was extremely lacking, no apologies were given, he was not attentive whatsoever. All in all, our simple dinner stop took 2.5 hours, we usually spend an hour to an hour and half at dinner. We came in for dinner. Smoked chicken pizza was bad, bland and overpriced. There were several large pieces of broccoli stem on the pizza which is very un pleasant. The chicken smoked flavor was lack luster and not really doing much for the pizza.. all the components should work well but the execution was terrible tasting. My wife got smoked chicken Alfredo, she was not excited by her dish as well. The Chicken was pretty mushy and untrimmed. Also the chicken parm was out 2 and half hours before closing. The only thing we liked were the rolls but honestly I could make them at home. Overall we left very unsatisfied, the server didn't ask why I hardly ate a quarter of the pizza. The food is great, the prices are great, the service is great. Every time I eat here I try something new and I haven't been disappointed yet. They have a decent beer and wine selection so there's something for everyone and they keep the menu small so they can really focus on doing good food. There's always something new on the menu and the latest thing we tried was the bone marrow. It was so tasty and paired really well with the olives and crusty bread. The smoked chicken Alfredo and lamb bolognese are also amazing. The crust on the pizza is very thin and crispy and doesn't overpower the great toppings. I've had the Tessa and it was amazing. The tables are spaced out and they do enforce social distancing so if you come at a peak time I'd recommend reservations just so there's no wait. The staff all wear masks and are so friendly. SO GOOD. We had such a great experience here and what a gem for delicious food. They are definitely taking COVID precautions seriously. We started with the charcuterie board which our server recommended. Everything on it is made in house and it was delicious. We also ordered the garlic rolls that were covered in butter. For entrees, we had the smoked chicken Alfredo and the shrimp risotto. Both were outstanding! For 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and a bottle of wine - our total was a little under $100 which I think is great value for the quality of food. Highly recommend! read more

I wish there was a way to give them 6 stars. This might be the best Italian restaurant I've ever been to. The chef is very creative and everything we had was off the charts delicious. Even the bruschetta with homemade fresh mozzarella was incredible. I'm a big pizza snob and this place absolutely nailed it. I had the sourdough crust which they make from scratch. The place is new. I honestly believe the company has opened prematurely. The staff was not properly trained. They were continually asking each other for help to ring things up and make changes to our ticket when the bill came to us. We were created nicely by the hosts as we walked in. They did seat us in a nice area against the wall. We could see everything that was happening in the whole restaurant. Once we sat down it did take a bit of tile for a server to come and greet us. Again, I think they 3 servers for the whole restaurant were deciding who was going to "take" our table? Server finally came, we asked questions about the menu, even about the chef, and chef's name. The server didn't know the answer to much nor the chefs name. We were served our food with no silverware on the table. My wife got up and asked server about silverware. Had to do the same thing for more drink refills. When the check came. It was wrong. We had to get up to get the server to fix it. The server didn't even know how to change the ticket and had to get another server to fix the ticket. It seems the have open a bit pre-mature. Staff was not prepared at all. Our favorite place in town! Love the pizzas and specials that constantly change based on what's in season. Locally sourced meats, veggies and fresh herbs that go perfectly with a wide selection of wines and of course - local brews! You have to try the wings and the Caesar salad w from-scratch dressing, both never fail to impress. Half priced bottles of wine on Sunday make for a perfect date night. It's such a fun and personable atmosphere w a classic movie always playing behind the bar and the staff is attentive without being interruptive. When it's warm dine out on the patio and enjoy the delicious gelato or get it to-go for a late night treat. I've eaten here three times now at lunch with coworkers and enjoy the food, but don't think it's anything crazy spectacular. I've done the cast iron pasta with choice of toppings twice now and each time the pasta was incredibly overcooked and had a limp, mushy texture. The alfredo sauce was also quite bland but the mushrooms helped add some flavor. The crab and bacon risotto is the best thing I've had there so far, the risotto was cooked perfectly and there was a ton of fresh crab meat in there along with crispy bits of bacon. Overall a decent little restaurant with some good menu items but nothing has blown me away just yet. read more

Locally owned, farm fresh deliciousness is waiting for you at Amici. The entire staff is very knowledgeable and wonderful. If Kenzie is working, ask for her.
