I *needed* a replacement immediately--I had a lot of stuff to transport, but I also wanted to avoid a sudden, significant expense, since I was visiting from the US. So, I took a chance with the Luggage Centre, not knowing exactly what I would get since I wasn't visiting a brick and mortar store. First impression: they were super responsive (even though I contacted them at night!), helpful, and very informative. Prices were very reasonable, too. Second impression: I was impressed that they delivered as quickly as they did and in a location that worked well for me. Third impression: the luggage was exactly as described and came with a 15 year warranty! I got a hard-shell expandable case with 8 360-degree turning wheels, and a TSA approved luggage lock. After 3 plane trips (2 within Europe, and 1 from Europe back to the States with a layover in very wintry conditions), 2 long train rides, and walks over cobblestoned streets, the bag has held very well. What I really like, too, is that is its unique coloring makes it easy to identify on the luggage carousel. I am very happy I found them--wholeheartedly recommend The Luggage Centre and would entrust them with any of my luggage needs!

They have an assortment of suitcases in various colours and sizes, with prices starting at around £40 and going up to £340. Also in store are laptop bags, leather bags, ruck sacks, purses and wallets, as well as many useful travel accessories. The brands they stock are all high quality, specialized or designer brands so you can expect to get trustworthy items in a condition reflecting their value. I find the travel accessory section interesting to look at, and it always reminds me of something I would have otherwise forgotten to pack for my holiday (like plug adapters, or waist-wallets). The assortment of inventory is very different compared to the US, and honestly, it's not as good LOL. Also, if anyone knows the "No tag" rule at all TJX Company stores in the US. Whenever you would like to purchase something that doesn't have a tag, they try to give you the best possible price for an item that's comparable to the item. The same thing happened to me with a bracelet, and they tried to charge me 15 pounds for a bracelet that's worth 4. There were many cheaper ones all around, but of course they picked the most expensive one. . . I had to drop a star for that, but otherwise it was a cool touristy experience.

The agent was courteous and was responsive before and after booking. Whilst I am uncertain of the need for an intermediary between the customer and airline for an experienced traveller they did in the end follow up and remained responsive after the booking. I admittedly have a bit more confidence in the concept of a travel agent after my interaction and Travel Unravel did seem to work more on the basis of trust, rather than merely processing a booking then disappearing as I had originally feared. I am unsure whether in the end they could beat a price on a direct booking, but they certainly suggest they can. Perhaps such an agent would also be a value add proposition on more complex bookings, but I have no experience with this.

The name "Travel Unravel" will NOT be used when they try to get you to pay for services, so keep that in mind. In my case, I was misled into believing I was speaking to a customer service rep from the cruise line, who pushed prepayment "at a discount," charged my card, then provided no receipt, no way of contacting them (aside of going back through my phone, and no way of reversing the charge/getting a refund. I filed a dispute with my credit card company, but that'll take a couple of weeks to resolve. I went through my phone, found their number, called and asked for a refund, but was denied. I thought maybe they'd actually paid the gratuities, so I called the cruise line. Nope! Not paid, so I called them back. Now I'm getting the, "Your customer service rep is currently busy but will get back to you in a couple of hours to resolve this." We'll see. Meanwhile, the BBB website is open to a "file complaint" page, and I'm filling it out as I write this. It is later, many hours later, and I never did get a call back. If you're looking to prevent your travel from unraveling, steer clear of these guys! I'll keep y'all posted.
