Strangely, their phone number came up as KLM's booking line on a search, hence why I ended up using an agent rather than booking directly with the airline. The agent was courteous and was responsive before and after booking. Whilst I am uncertain of the need for an intermediary between the customer and airline for an experienced traveller they did in the end follow up and remained responsive after the booking. I admittedly have a bit more confidence in the concept of a travel agent after my interaction and Travel Unravel did seem to work more on the basis of trust, rather than merely processing a booking then disappearing as I had originally feared. I am unsure whether in the end they could beat a price on a direct booking, but they certainly suggest they can. Perhaps such an agent would also be a value add proposition on more complex bookings, but I have no experience with this. read more
I was somehow connected to them while looking into paying gratuities in advance for an upcoming cruise. Like another reviewer mentioned, their phone number came up as connected to the cruise line. The name "Travel Unravel" will NOT be used when they try to get you to pay for services, so keep that in mind. In my case, I was misled into believing I was speaking to a customer service rep from the cruise line, who pushed prepayment "at a discount," charged my card, then provided no receipt, no way of contacting them (aside of going back through my phone, and no way of reversing the charge/getting a refund. I filed a dispute with my credit card company, but that'll take a couple of weeks to resolve. I went through my phone, found their number, called and asked for a refund, but was denied. I thought maybe they'd actually paid the gratuities, so I called the cruise line. Nope! Not paid, so I called them back. Now I'm getting the, "Your customer service rep is currently busy but will get back to you in a couple of hours to resolve this." We'll see. Meanwhile, the BBB website is open to a "file complaint" page, and I'm filling it out as I write this. It is later, many hours later, and I never did get a call back. If you're looking to prevent your travel from unraveling, steer clear of these guys! I'll keep y'all posted. read more

I booked return flights to Faro with Travel Unravel (ref: KB8X4WR/KB8X4WQ). They charged me £960, but when I checked directly with the airline, the exact same flights cost only £407.01. That is a 136% markup - more than double - which was not disclosed at the time of booking. When I queried this during the booking call, the agent (Lisa) specifically told me there was only a small charge, and that this was taken from the airline. This turned out to be false. The reality is that I was charged more than double the genuine fare. When I raised this serious discrepancy, the company refused any refund and insisted everything had been done correctly. Their position was simply that I had "approved" the booking, and therefore the matter was closed. This misses the point entirely: approval without full and honest disclosure of such a huge markup is not informed consent. A professional travel agency should be transparent about costs, not conceal the fact that they are charging more than double the airline's own fare while telling customers the fee is "small." In my view, this practice is misleading and fails the standards of transparency required under UK consumer law. I would strongly caution others against using Travel Unravel. Always check the airline's own website first -- you may find the real fare is a fraction of what this agency charges. read more

Review for Travel Unravel / Brightsun I had a very concerning experience with this company on 30th August 2025. I mistakenly believed I was calling Virgin Atlantic after their website crashed, but was actually connected to Travel Unravel. The agent (Gavin) strongly implied he was linked to Virgin Atlantic and offered me the same seat I had just tried to book online -- at a price £350 higher. Without my proper consent, he placed a booking hold in my name. I later discovered that the same seat was also being held in my name by another agency, Brightsun, even though I had never contacted them. This effectively blocked me from booking directly with Virgin. When I refused to proceed with the inflated booking, the agent became aggressive. Later, when I phoned back to ask for the holds to be released, he shouted at me. Thankfully, Virgin Atlantic eventually helped me secure an alternative booking (with a better return seat), but the stress, dishonesty, and intimidation I experienced here were completely unacceptable. Checking reviews afterwards, I realised I am far from the only customer who has experienced misrepresentation, inflated pricing, and aggressive behaviour from this company. My advice: book directly with the airline and avoid this company. read more

I had the worst experience, we needed to cancel our trip because we had an emergency come and when we went to use the voucher they awarded to us we were then told it had expired but they would be happy to help us for another $700. Asked them how cash money expires and they could not answer us.... Said it expired. We were suppose to have a guarantee it would be good! Would not recommend them to anyone!! Total SCAM! I spoke with someone named Roy, I wanted to change my flight. The number I called was listed as Avianca. I asked Roy two times if it was Avianca but he skipped the question. He charged me $385.00. I told him I had a flex ticket. He told me yes, but I had to pay the airline taxes, etc. Once I booked the flight and gave them my credit card number, he wanted to charge me for my seats. That is when I became suspicious and said I wanted to cancel the transaction. He told me I could not because the change had been made. read more

Title: "Misleading Service and Hidden Fees" Review: "I contacted what I believed was Spirit Airlines through this website to add my pet to my flight. The representative I spoke to, whose English was not very clear, processed my request but included a $198 service fee on top of Spirit Airlines' charges. I only realized this was not Spirit Airlines after noticing the extra charge on my account. This site misrepresents itself as being affiliated with airlines. I recommend avoiding it and ensuring you contact the airline directly." read more

Definite scam. A $550 charge for them appeared on my card, and when I called to ask who they are, they were evasive. Also, why is the customer service line for a travel agency in the UK being answered in India? Again, definitely a scam or the front for a scam. Stay away. read more

I just had the worse experience , they misrepresented themselves saying they were Celebrity Cruises . I questioned the the price of 689.00 for gratuities . Stay away they are a crooked company and would avoid them at all cost , if you want to save money. read more

"Larry" with Travel Unravel scammed me! When I called Allegiant Air and Larry answered he told me some malarkey about a tax fee of $396. Larry sent me a confirmation email. The email was from Larry at larry@unraveltravel.com. After questioning him numerous times about the $396 charge, and him evading the question, I called a different number for Allegiant Air and am on hold to verify the reservation. I am calling my credit card company and disputing the charge, then contacting BBB or whomever so other people don't go through this! I mad at myself for taking the bait. I am usually very cautious! Brock represented himself as a Viking representative. Told me I owed $3600.00 in port and shoreline fees. I needed to pay this immediately or my cruise reservation could be cancelled so I did. When I called Viking the next day, they had no idea what I was talking about and stated I was scammed. Working with Chase to try and get my money back. Of course the company stated Brock will call me tomorrow which I'm sure he never will. Calling the BBB and anyone else I can think of to get this company closed down. read more

Like others here, their number came up while doing a google search for our airline...it looked completely official. When you dial the number it goes directly to elevator music and then an agent comes on and apologizes for the wait. They do not greet you with Travel Unravel. We were quoted a certain amount to pre book seats, but the charge on our credit card was for 4x's the amount, and in a different currency than our quote. Thankfully we had a text thread with our 2 step verification, as our bank could see that there were unauthorized charges. We did get our seats booked, but what a hassle. We tried to dispute it, by calling the company back multiple times, but to no avail. Lesson learned...always make sure you have the direct line (in the address bar) to your carrier. read more

Absolute scam. Flight was delayed by 6 hours, feaful it was going to be cancelled, I tried to contact Frontier Customer Service ended up being connected to them, they initially presented themselves as Frontier airlines, and charged me hundreds of dollars in "taxes" to change my flight, I find out after the fact when looking at my receipt this was a 3rd party company and NOT Frontier Airlines. Turns out I wouldn't have had to pay ANY change fees or taxes to move my flight. ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBERS WHEN CALLING. Someone has obviously reported their number as fraud, because it no longer shows up when looking for Frontier Airlines customer service. read more

I like many others got in contact with this piss poor company by mistake. If I could give a zero, I would. I needed to secure a wheelchair for my mom for embarking and disembarking on the ship for a Royal Carribean cruise. I was told I needed to pay gratuities by Maria a customer service representative. I pointed out that all the gratuities were paid. You could see the $166 charge for each person. She was adamant about me paying the fees. She lied and told me the gratuity I paid was fees and wasn't gratuity. To make matters worse she told me I wouldn't be able to get a wheelchair unless I paid that day. I made the payment because I needed the wheelchair. I double checkd and I was right. I called again and was transferred to Maria, the incompetent representative. She wasn't knowledgeable and was not pleasant to deal with. People at this company are hustlers and shysters. read more

Don't even think about using them. I called American Airlines and was apparently answered by Travel Unravel pretending to be an American Airlines employee. They apparently were able to confirm a flight I had on hold, but added almost 900 dollars to my ticket. Then they refused to give me my confirmation code unless I split the charges into two different charges. One to American Airlines and another that he said may b e a litter different American Airline charge. When I contacted American Airlines they said they knew nothing about an additional charge. I contested the charge to my bank because it was on a debit card. I am waiting on Regions Bank to contest the charges. Want to know more. Pull them up and see the reviews. Not Good, Correct ! This group is a "scam/fraud" & my husband who was not paying attention ;-( thought he speaking w/an Allegiant Airlines rep (US) - but in reality it sounds like, from the other reviews, that this # pops up first and is very misleading until you go to actually make the booking. They were asking WAY too many questions - like, my email (since I'm a cardholder for Allegiant), my PASSWORD for that account, seriously should that not be a gigantic red flag?! BEWARE CRUISERS I didn't use these people to book my cruise what so ever, I did it all on my own!! Unfortunately, I had to cancel. When I Googled how to do that and for Royal Caribbea's number, the Google search engine apparently gave me the phone number to THIS place. The liar, Dalziel, LEGIT told me he worked for Royal Caribbean and could cancel my cruise!! This guy tried to charge me $550 to cancel, then told me if I didn't pay it, I would be charged the full amount of the cruise. He had also told me I would get my refund back! I said, so you want me to pay over $1,000 to cancel this cruise, I might as well just go! I obviously went off but because he assured me he was Royal Caribbean, I continued to fall for the SCAM!!!!! After he pissed me off and we had words, I hung up on him. I then looked at the email he sent me and I knew it was a SCAM! (ALWAYS look at the email address of the sender, in this case, was NOT Royal Caribbean). So I immediately called my bank and Royal Caribbean's main number (making sure it was right this time). My bank opened up a fraudulent case and Royal Caribbean didn't keep any or make me pay anything like this SCAMMER DALZIEL tried to do for canceling! I gave Royal Caribbean all the information I had regarding this situation and told them EXACTLY what happened. They told me they would also be investigating this because it DEFINITELY was a SCAM to get my money. Not only did Travel Unravel try to steal my money, they also made me think Royal Caribbean was garbage. When in fact, Royal Caribbean had NOTHING to do with any of this!! When I hung up with the SCAMMER, DALZIEL, I told him "Have the day you deserve"... I guarantee you, I will make sure everyone knows that this company is out here SCAMMING people!! Got scammed by this nightmare company called Travel Unravel. Thought I was calling Celebrity Cruise Lines and somehow they answered the line. When asked if they were Celebrtiy Cruise Lines they said yes, they are located all over the US. Once they talk to you and get your credit card for a cabin, they charge $500 for a hold on the cabin directly with Celebrity and then they charged $1250.89 to Travel Unravel for booking the cruise. Imagine a fee that large to take my personal info and type it into a computer and then she gave me the wrong confirmation # and booked us under some other customers name. This person did everything wrong and paid herself a huge salary. Called them back as soon as I saw the charge and they said they were closed and to call back next morning. I called the next morning and got the run around and hung up on every attempt to connect to Maria (sales person). Talked to one lady and she yelled at me for wanting to cancel, these people are ruthless. I then called my credit card company and they told me to send an email to them to cancel and return money which I did within the first 24 hrs of charge, I then received an email back from Maria stating that there is no refund or changes and to withdraw my complaint or my cruise could be affected which I wanted anyway, waited 7-10 days as instructed by my credit card company and still nothing so now it's being disputed. I hope there is a good ending, I want this company shut down! Scammers are awful! Beware of Maria from Travel Unravel, and Christoper. read more

I used Google to contact Royal Caribbean about a name change For upcoming cruise. Google connected me to apparently this company who claimed to be Royal Caribbean. He said because it was only one week to my cruise that there would be a penalty of $550 to change name or I would not be able to board the ship. I paid the $550 and I asked to pay my gratuity upfront. Apparently this guy used my reservation number to contact Royal Caribbean someone Pretended to myself or my husband and paid the $270 for gratuity. aka Fareobuddy.com NOTE: do NOT use their services. I was (mistakenly) automatically connected to their (888) phone number, upon missing my flight to Honolulu by 20 minutes (for my partners surprise birthday) while trying to phone Hawaiian Airlines- I was connected to "Travel Unravel", known as Fareobuddy.com. Our attendee, Terry explained it would cost ..."Below are your reservation details, kindly go through the information to ensure that the Spelling of the Names,Flight Details,Total Cost and terms & Conditions are correct & as agreed over the phone. I called the cruise liner, wanting to pay for my gratuities and spoke with Maria. She was a liar, and she tried to push me to pay a higher amount for my gratuities for my trip. I ended up paying way more than then. I was supposed to and when I call back, she was, ",", busy, I finally found out from the cruise liner, she had overcharged me $890. When I called her back, she tried to play like the charges were valid even though in the email she sent me. She had put the wrong information. I advised her. She had overcharged me and I was going to dispute the charges, and she said, there was nothing. I could do about it because I sent her emails saying authorized charges. I advised her that the email that she sent to me was for the wrong trip in the wrong charges, so it would be easy for me to dispute it with my bank. Seeing that it was not for the correct trip at that time. Maria advised me I would not get my money back. She is a scam and so was her company, steer clear of them and when you call the cruise liner, do not paint anything over the phone. Go to their website or their app and make all your payments through there. I lost my grandmother and had to make it out of town for her funeral service. I sacrificed other bills just so that i would be able to make it there... meaning I didnt have any EXTRA FUNDS for ANYBODY to STEAL from me. I recieved 2 emails from what was supposed to be frontier airlines. One saying everything's good and another one stating I dont have seats. I also recieved another email from united airlines. I called the number associated with the email and of course they have the automatic msg. come on 1st and then they answered saying "Thank you for calling frontier airlines" etc. And then proceeded to let me know that I didnt have seats and that I needed to finish booking IMMEDIATELY otherwise its a possibility that my little brother, my big cousin and I could possibly get bumped off the flight if everyone else paid for their seats when they booked their flight and I didnt want that to happen so I let them take the payment and they charged me an additional $222. Shortly after this transaction Is when I knew I was scammed because I noticed on my statement that united airlines was trying to take $206 which is the amount of other half of the plane tickets I bought that TRAVEL UNRAVEL now STOLE from me so I had to borrow an additional $200 and add it onto my card so that UNITED AIRLINES (the real company) would be able to get their money so that our flight back was solidified.... I still can't contact them and still havent heard anything back as far as getting a refund so I dont know what to do next. read more

They apparently have set up a way to make it look like they're the customer service line of a given official airline (in my case, I googled Lufthansa Customer Service). My car broke down on the way to the airport and I tried to call Lufthansa to tell them I would miss the flight and rebook something ASAP. They identified as Lufthansa and I rebooked a flight for the next day and thought that would be that, but since Lufthansa wasn't actually notified, I got listed as a no-show and lost my return flights as well, and all the money from the initial roundtrip booking. And when I noticed the charge on the credit card, the flight itself that was rebooked was only $1100, and Travel Unravel charged an extra $538. This apparently has happened to quite a few people, as my subsequent research has shown, and I didn't realize I was talking to a company called Travel Unravel until I saw the charge on my credit card. Side note: if you try to dispute this charge with your cc company, there's nothing they can do, since the "service was rendered" and the flight itself was legit. My best advice, especially for those who think a breakdown on the way to the airport won't happen to them, is always make sure AHEAD OF TIME that you have the legitimate customer service number of your airline, and to contact them IMMEDIATELY upon knowing that you'll miss your flight. My loss of the initial trip, the cost of booking one-way for each leg of the new trip, and Travel Unravel's exorbitant $538 fee I have to chalk up to "the price of an education", so learn from my misfortune, and God bless. read more

SCAMMER/FRAUDULENT This is a very sophisticated scam company They have found a way to upload 5 star reviews online but if you dig a bit deeper and search other review sites like YELP you will see how many people have sadly been victims of these airline scammers I unfortunately paid £700 before I realised that this is a scam and once they know you have figured out whats happening they stop answering your calls and emails. *****ONLY BOOK FLIGHTS DIRECTLY or with TRUSTED SOURCES ***** I have now had to instruct my bank and solicitor to get my money refunded After reading many others victims reviews these seem to be the common themes in summary: 1) when you arrive at airport there is no ticket booked so you have to pay ticket again 2) If you cancel tickets for any reason you will not get a refund, even if the promise refund they lie and you never hear from them again 3) There is no actual office in the UK so impossible to track them down I will also be uploading my video to instagram/youtube/facebook MY FIRST AIRLINE TICKET SCAM EXPERIENCE WITH TRAVEL UNRAVEL I suggest that everyone who has been scammed by them also upload your experience to social media Facebook, instagram, youtube as this is the only way to stop them ripping off innocent hard working peoples money. read more

I wish I could give this company a big fat 0! They are a scam!! DO NOT EVEN REMOTELY CONSIDER BOOKING WITH THEM!!! My very elderly aunt "booked" a flight with them. When she got to the airport, the airline had no record of her reservation. After contacting the airline directly, the representative informed me that the airline had flagged the reservation as a scam as well. This company attempted to charge her credit card, and it got declined only for them to attempt again and it was approved. Then, an additional fraudulent charge was made to her credit card. As others have noted in their reviews, they answer the phone as the company you believe you are calling. In this instance, it was Allegiant Air. They absolutely are NOT Allegiant Air and have no affiliation nor do they have authorization to make reservations for Allegiant Air. This company is THE WORST!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! SCUMBAGS LIKE THIS NEED TO BE JAILED! read more

Be afraid - be very afraid! These are sophisticated scammers who pose as customer support for a number of airlines including Spirit, Qatar Air, United, etc. They'll book in your name, then add a few hundred bucks fees - 'tax', or maybe 'software fee', it changes depending on who you ask - and since they booked the flight, they have the confirmation codes they can cancel your flight if you don't pay up. BUT : you can get out of the scam: get the email address associated with the flight changed by going online with frontier (or whatever airline you thought you were booking). Once the email addr. is changed the scammers can no longer access your ticket. Stop payment on their fee and you are good to go. read more

Complete scammers. Same story as most of the other reviews. Googled to get a phone number for an airline (Westjet in this case), Travel Unravel had an ad with the airline logo, same layout, same font, but a phone number that redirected to them. Person misrepresented themselves as an airline agent, did not book flights correctly, and then billed the credit card for a bunch of extra beyond the cost of the flights (more than $500 extra!). This company is leaving fake 5 star reviews on https://ca.trustpilot.com/review/www.travelunravel.com to push any 1 star reviews to the bottom, if you want to do something about them make sure and post your real experiences and reviews on this site as well. read more

Travel Unravel runs a scam on prepaid cruise gratuities for cruise lines such as Celebrity and Royal Caribbean. If you have been scammed, report it to the FTC and the Better Business Bureau. Dispute the charge with your credit card company directly. You can submit any emails or other documents as proof to your credit card company. By the way, any review that uses the phrase "perfectly fine" is suspicious to me because that is the phrase the scammer kept using when I asked for an explanation as to why my payment had not been applied! read more

Scam! they'll book in your name, add a few hundred bucks fees - 'tax', or maybe 'software fee', it changes depending on who you ask - and since they have the confirmation codes they can cancel your flight if you don't pay up. To get out of the scam: get the email addr. associated with the flight changed by going online with frontier (or whatever airline you thought you were booking). Once the email addr. is changed the scammers can no longer access your ticket. Stop payment on their fee and you are good to go. read more

0 STARS. Absolute Scam. These people should be in jail. Can someone please advise who to report this "business" to. Totally rude workers. Not clued up at all. Financial scam. They do not disclose any terms or conditions. Lies about authoritative management. I think they work out of a back office and the 3 people that work there go by different names. More eager to get the payment done than to go through everything. I will be taking them to court, as they do not record their calls it's a good thing I did. read more

Complete Scam. I hope somebody there finally got arrested. How completely worthless idiots thrive off of taking advantage of others is inconceivable. At least it is to normal civilized people who aren't animals like these criminals. Hopefully he's back in Afghanistan or Syria and took a direct hit from a drone. The world would be a better place. Allah Akbar you piece of crap. read more
