I think it would be helpful if they labeled the different sandwiches since there were three bagel sandwiches in our order. For my drink, I wanted to try the jewel flavoring (toffee nut and carameand I asked the staffer if it was better in a frappe or an iced latte and she advised the latter. The drink was so delicious that I think she was right. I also ordered a banana nut muffin, which I will have to come back and review as I have not tried it yet. I also didn't want to have an argument in front of my children, so I swallowed a lot of what I wanted to say. I can't say what motivated the difference in treatment, but as a Latina woman, I noticed it and it made me uncomfortable--especially when I later watched difficult interactions happen with two other Latino tables as well. I was glad to see apologies and much warmer treatment afterward, but our initial interaction had already affected what should have been a nice family breakfast. Thankfully, a second server eventually took care of us and our experience with her was much better. We ultimately waited around another 40 minutes for our food. I'm not writing this because I expect special treatment. I expect the same basic courtesy given to every other guest. Whatever the reason for the initial behavior, responding "whatever" when a customer politely tells you his name is disrespectful and unnecessary.
