Had a very pleasant experience with my new Lindbergh's. A bit pricy but it is quality.

These guys are great. They are very helpful, very honest, and stock quality products. I have nothing bad to say about them at all.

The other reviews of this business are way off base. I have been a 15 year customer & find their services excellent.

while they took maybe a day, not same day, they did it in house and helped find the right glasses with knowledge.

I was an optometrist medical client at MyEyeDr at 22 University Dr, Amherst, MA 01002. I went there…read moreright when they took over Dr Wadman's optometrist office which I went to for over 10 years - & I was assigned the male optometrist there (I do NOT recommend him, I've heard okay things about the woman though), after I'd called ahead several days before to make sure I had enough for the the contact lens fee secured, I was there on time at the date of my appointment. After a 45 min wait for my appointment I was seen, because they were running late - it happens, sure - but then without prior warning I was denied the contact lens exam to get my contact lens prescription. That was why I went there. I was able to pay for its cost in addition to the glasses exam covered by my masshealth health insurance. The male optometrist, who I was meeting for the first time, cited that a lack of previous years of having any relationship with me as his patient (after his practice kicked out my last doctor so how could I even have that?!) meant he couldn't trust me, a 30+ year old adult, with having a contact lens prescription and he would be liable. He refused to give it to me even though he told me that he knew what the prescription I needed was. He decided he wouldn't, was aggressively smug about his decision for the remaining 20 mins of our appt during which I begged him to change his mind during the remainder of my eye exam. By the time I left I was practically in tears from how he spoke to me. I left a review on another platform, and they deleted it because I do not wish to share my legal name. DO NOT go here if you want contact lenses - only go to get a prescription for glasses. If they guarantee you anything more, they are possibly lying to you like they lied to me. I was hugely let down when I wanted and expected I could get a prescription for contact lenses here. After they denied me care, I was unable to afford a new eye exam's full cost myself elsewhere, so I couldn't get contact lenses with the eye exam covered by my insurance for another 2 years (the doctor knew this about me, which is why he was able to talk to me like that and act so smug knowing he'd face no ramifications) until MassHealth could cover a new one again for me, at a new/better optometrist than at MyEyeDr in Amherst, or any MyEyeDr I imagine, where in my experience they refuse to give out contact lens prescriptions when they are paid for that exact service. PLEASE don't make the mistake I made and expect both the truth and also the care you would normally get from optometrists from them. I will never go back to the building that doctor denied me care in, my experience was too negative for me to try to set foot in there again.

I went for my appointment and the receptionist told me that I signed up for a remote visit with the…read moreDr. I did not, to my knowledge. Now I have a new appointment for a week from now but after this I will go elsewhere.

Inside you can find penny candy by the pound, a bit past the entrance with local papers and events. This might be where you expect a local General Store to offer you, if you mistook them for Provisions around the corner. At Provisions, you'd find more drinks, some foods, and other house staples. At The General Store, you can find, generally, everything else, including Art you didn't know you needed. I suppose the candy is a reliable reason for my visit, so let's suppose you don't have a sweet tooth. Behind, surrounding you, and on both sides, is a wide variety of foods, oils, snacks, tools, fashion, entertainment, toys, some of these for your pets, and then some. It's for this reason that The General Store is also home to local events, and makes space for art showings in the section opposite gifts, foods, and diversions, and the art is diverse and marvelous. This cozy spot in the corner of the shopping plaza places you near other necessities, such as activities, classes, ice cream (Herrel's), restaurants, and more. Largely, I can imagine The General Store being a monthly or even biweekly as a destination, since events come often and candy runs out. It befits the Massachusetts regional culture, letting you get access to local farmer's cropshares, ice cream even in winter, and clean bathrooms. I think I even saw an authentic barrel™ in here! Do they know a cooper?

The General Store is also connected to the Local Art Gallery, where they have displays of many different artists and types of artwork. The Mill District General Store has nearly everything in it. They have gardening tools, clothes, bedding, picnic baskets, cleaning supplies, shaving supplies, handmade candles, cat + dog food and toys, kids toys and books, maple syrup products, mugs, candles, pots + pans, and an assortment of just about everything. They also have art supplies for sketching, drawing, painting, etc. The first day I visited, I was helped by Anthony. The second time Shannon was super helpful, along with Manny, the sweet pup! The third time, Lewis helped me. Every staff member was genuinely happy to be working here and it made it a very pleasant shopping experience. They have a lot of great inventory, just make sure you have some time to check it out! They also have a pretty good coffee station with mugs.
