2 stars is from my point of view, but others may like this more than me…read more The workouts are mediocre and there is very minimal instruction. The class is split in a typical way: 1-2min warm up, 20min conditioning, 20min kickboxing, 1-2min cool down Primary reasons for 2 stars: -Conditioning is always boring, and this conditioning is so mundane with no energy from the instructor. Typically the the instructor demonstrates 3-5 exercises and the class simply repeats them for the entire 20 minutes. During that time, you're going at your own pace (which some people may like). I would look around the room each class and everyone had issues with their form. Instructor didn't say anything - so I started wondering, how bad am I performing these exercises? I'd never know - there is no instruction and very little encouragement. I like when I am reminded of good form, encouraged to "dig deeper" etc. But 20 minutes just repeating the same small loop of exercises is just so boring. I kept asking myself, what am I paying for? -Kickboxing portion is very short, often uninspired routines. I also didn't have much left after pushing myself to do ~150 jump squats during 20mins of conditioning on a loop. I fell in love with kickboxing at a gym that was run by a retired military vet. He was so energetic and loved created interesting combinations and really brought the sport alive. The instructor here timidly provides you a demonstration and then you repeat (like normal), but I found it all so very dull. -Topping it off, the music is tiresome. I'm an elder millennial and sure I love me some 2000s-2010s poppy club music but the playlists had the most over played songs I'm still sick of in 2024. I usually don't care what the music is in a workout class, but given the lack of inspiration from the instructor or interesting exercises I was desperate to draw inspiration from anywhere. Also, the facility is very "just okay." It's pretty clean (not sure how often floor mats are cleaned though...). Parking is very easy. Furthermore, I HATED the marketing interaction from the company itself. They send the worst, cringely e-mails and text messages on a regular basis. I was so happy once I could block them all. (If you block them while taking classes, you can't receive any notices about the classes.) And their "limited promo" on their website is always there (intro 3 classes like ~$30). Classes are just about worth $10/ea but the regular price is +$25/class for their packages (as of Aug 2024). The only good thing I can say about the place is that the other people attending the class are very nice and sweet people. The instructor is a nice, friendly person but simply not the type of class leader I'd like to have.

This gym is fantastic! It's my favorite place to sweat! Yes, it's a group class but it's unlike any…read moreother classes I've have taken. It combines strength training with kickboxing. Each class may vary depending on the workout and instructor/trainer. It also feels more like you are working with a personal trainer. The instructors/trainers are knowledgeable and experienced in fitness. They push you to push yourself out of your comfort zone, and invested in your success. The Woodinville Kickboxing community is amazing too because everyone is supportive and inspirational. You aren't just a member but part of a family. This is an intense workout, no matter what fitness level you are at. Each time you walk into class you are able to do more weights and reps; and improve on your jabs, upper cuts, hooks, front kicks, side kicks, back kicks and round houses. I've gained so much strength and endurance since I started in 2015. I love my Woodinville Kickboxing family! #squadgoals #woodinvillekickboxingfamily #strongertogether #badasses

So this is tucked back behind a few ramen places. The parking lot isn't huge, but there's plenty of…read morespots and people constantly coming and going. Staff here is dope! The person at the counter was super nice and the ease of getting a drop in class was a nice touch. The VIP package comes with a pair of gloves, so if you're new and want to keep coming it's a good investment. The facility is clean and tidy. They have a locker situation for your things and after each class the bags are sanitized and the floors as well. The class is a quality workout and wonderful lesson! I feel like I learned a ton just about the motion of my body. I drove all the way there from Puyallup and it's the real deal. Instructor is a for real a FIGHTER. He's fun and upbeat and really gets you warmed up. I was pretty scared, but this was a whole new experience. It's helpful that the instructor checks on you a bunch and tells you how to fix your motions. I worked muscles I hadn't in so long. The workout was intense but fun and I felt amazing after. I hadn't gone to bed at 7pm in years. Lol. 10 out of 10 recommend.

I have been going here for awhile now…read more If you want to learn BJJ GI/NOGI/Street, a form of Boxing that emphasizes self preservation first, Yoga, Kettlebells, or just want to gain increased mobility used in other sports you need to give this gym a try. No need to pick and choose, you get it all for one reasonable price, they have morning and evening classes, and they also have kids and young adults programs. The instructors/owners are great people, will work with anyone, regardless of skill or fitness level. A lot of people I recommend this gym to are intimidated, especially about the boxing, but please don't be, they don't break people here, they train them. They start you out slow, and only add pressure as you get better, and you will get better! You only go as hard as you want to, and free form sparring is optional, and only after you get good enough to defend yourself. The BJJ is not oriented towards competition, though they will help you with that if it's your goal. They do GI, No-GI, and Street Jits/CMD/Etc on Saturdays. We have young guys and a lot of older guys as well. FYI The lineage is Machdo -- King -- Kolesar Even if your just into it for fitness you have to give it a try, you have never worked out until you have boxed, done a round of BJJ rolling, or hit the kettle bells. These are phenomenal cardio and muscular endurance work outs. Women and Men are pretty much in every class, it's a tribe and an extended family, everyone watches out for you, no meatheads, no crazies, give it a try. Finally don't wait to get fit, instead get fit while learning some valuable self preservation life skills!

Should have written this review much sooner. This place is incredible. Got both my daughter(8) and…read moreson(13) in to boxing and they absolutely love it. Best work out guaranteed! No such thing as too young for boxing. Best thing about the youngest group class is high demand for discipline. Eric(one of the trainers and owner) is great with young ones, but also strict. Besides boxing you have option to do jujitsu, self-defense and kettle bells. All of that included in your monthly membership fee. Technically you can attend every day if one wants to. I will be joining my kids soon. It's a great place for the whole family.
