Her testing is unreliable and anxiety producing. just to make a thermogram appointment, your credit card information is taken down immediately. Weird but ok. Results took much longer than usual- 3 weeks. They are abnormal. She's claiming it could be this or that or something else. She claimed that I'm estrogen dominant and to throw all my essential oils as they are estrogenic. She kept saying "make sure it's benign" and I asked her "are you saying I have breast cancer?" In which she responded that the thermogram has indicated that I've had some serious physiological changes" So I go to my NMD for a second option and she states that she too, used to use thermograms but threw them out after it produced way too high number of false positives and was having to refer patients in for mammograms- and the mammogram results typically came back as normal anyway. This NMD tested me right there so I can see results for myself. she also tested all my hormone levels and said it's the complete opposite way. That I am absolutely NOT estrogen dominant, that I actually had a bit more progesterone then estrogen and that if I had listened to Christine's advice, it would have messed my hormone levels up. Christine advised me to go in for a 300$ ultra ultrasound and go back to her for testing (to figure out what's causing all this) and to redo the thermogram. Thank goodness I won't be. It's a a huge relief knowing that there's nothing wrong with me, but what a waste of time effort and money. If you get abnormal readings I would suggest getting a second or third opinion with someone who is a licensed physician and knows what they are doing. Do not get suckered into believing there is something wrong with you when that's not the case at all

Oh my goodness is the only way to begin this review…read more I was in Mendocino for a long weekend and decided I really needed a massage. Of course I did this very last minute (the day of) and I called around. Sue was able to get me in that evening for a 2 hour "Raindrop Therapy" massage. Her space is a charming little cottage off of the main strip in Mendocino. Both she and her space are absolutely delightful! Before we began we discussed my needs, likes, dislikes, what's going on in my life, etc. This helps her get a feel for me and what my body may need. Once the massage began, we talked a bit about oils and what some of them were doing for my body. She was very generous with the essential oils (which I love) and her time to really work on my body. The combination of her knowledge, firm touch understanding of a bodies needs, oils, warm towels and stones... so wonderful. The massage ended with a salt scrub on my feet, and the ringing of Tibetan singing bowls being chimed under the bed. When I came out of the room I was greeted with a delightful cup of herbal tea. I actually smelled a bit like a wonderful floral/herbal tea when I left. I let the oils stay on my skin all night so that they could work their "magic". I live down in Marin but am already thinking about planning another overnight visit to Mendocino just so I can get another one of these amazing massages.

Not recommended. This center is not what it claims to be, and the teacher is not who he claims to…read morebe. Do not bring your children here, do not come here. I recommend no level of involvement with this organization. The teacher burnishes his reputation with various certificates and enthronements. I have spoken at length with an extremely high, recognized Tulku who explained that he and others of similar standing do not recognize this man as their teacher. The people described as monks and nuns, as far as I know, take no traditional monastic vows. The teacher does not live on the property. He lives in Maui. He follows popular wellness trends (red light therapy, carnivore diet) and presents them as his own teaching. The organization runs some charitable activity which gives a veneer of legitimacy that does not match what I observed from inside. Over more than a decade, in good faith, I gave a significant amount of money to this organization under the impression that I was supporting charitable work. I was only ever contacted for donations, and I gave on a false and misleading premise - believing I was helping those in need, when in fact much was going towards funding this teacher's lifestyle. Not once was I shown empathy or compassion, even to the extent of "how are you doing?" What I did experience repeatedly, from the teacher and from the attendant staff, was coldness, condescension, and open disdain. Sincere questions were met with dismissal. Students going through hard times were ignored or shamed. The relationship from their side was transactional, one-way, and demeaning. Run from this place.

Lacking vitality and any clear direction the droning music playing with the staff that appears nice with platitudes and word salad nonsense makes this fringe group and reality even more strange. To Dr. Daci - I'm responding here because I don't have your direct email address and messages to…read moreyou aren't going through. First I'm astonished at your repeated edits of your response. First you told a story full of falsehoods that totally negated my experience. Basically proving my points! Then for a moment, you seemed to be respecting my experience, finally saying, "Your concerns about my communication and approach are valuable, and I'm committed to refining how I connect with patients." But you deleted that today and instead put this "It is unfortunate that we were not able to find common ground and connect despite my sincere attempts -- this was a first for me." Ah again you're the hero and my feedback and sincere attempts are invisible. And was common ground the point? Not your skill at what you promise? Or caring about the patient's actual experience, not just your story about who you think you are? And I bet this has happened before. You make it hard to be heard. Which was basically my point. You worked hard to make this something wrong with me. I asked for what I needed at the session and you brushed that aside. You didn't see it. Oh, I'll add another thing that felt uncomfortable for me was you charging my credit card with $585 when I made the appointment, three weeks in advance. I've NEVER had a doctor or healer do that. I got the bill before the appointment. I realize now it put me in a position where I couldn't just end the appointment, and we didn't have a moment at the end to discuss the amount. It felt like you were taking care of yourself, not your patient. As I said in my original post, I tried two ways afterwards to communicate my experience of our session to you. A memo, giving examples. And on the phone, during the followup call. As I shared here, I felt my feedback totally blown off by you. And so I shared my experience with others here. I've sought to be fair and factual. And really - won't this help you avoid having patients that have needs like mine? Meanwhile, I met with another healer today who easily did what you did not. Welcomed me, told me the plan in advance, mirrored what she heard me say, asked what I needed, behaved consistent with her described values. It was a thing of beauty, and reminded me what a healthy dynamic feels like. So I'm good. I hope you do take this as an opportunity to learn. But your response is your choice, and just reflects on you.

I knew something was wrong with my gut, I tried a virtual Natropathic doctor who helped me at the time but not enough and the gut problems just kept persisting. I knew I needed a good doctor who understands holistic health and the gut to understand what was going on with me specificially. Meeting Dr. Dana's was the best experience. Getting her kind-hearted guidance to do the tests and get the protocols, I FEEL BETTER!!! I literally had to hand over my health to someone else I trusted because I had failed. I'm now on day 12 of this transformation so lots more to heal but at least I feel energetic enough to play, work, and spend quality time with family. If you feel bad the rest of the world is not great. My gut biome is on the road to recovery and that means the world to me. Thank you Dr. Dana Michaels. If you are considering working with Dr. Dana do it and your health will improve but first you got to know what is going on inside your body and no ad, internet group or friend will be able to tell you that other than doing the tests and following a protocol specific to YOUR body. Still not sure? Watch "Hack Your Health" on Netflix as they talk all about the gut biome in a very entertaining way. But notice the doctors that work with the people are learning what is going on inside of them and how to fix it. Natropathic doctors are far more capable of helping you with true gut health because they believe in a holistic approach of healthy bodies.

Madison treated me right away with a combination of essential oils and Marma point massage (sort of like the Ayurvedic version of acupressure)and I experienced nearly instant relief.
