I was repeatedly pressured by Dr Park to commit to a ~$3,000 care plan (4 months) instead of being allowed to use my insurance on a per-visit basis. The doctor discouraged me from using my insurance, stating I had a $2,000 deductible and limited visits. However, another chiropractor in Arlington ran the exact same insurance card (carefirst blue cross blue shield) and confirmed my visits were fully covered with no deductible and more yearly visit availability. The office also encouraged me to sign for $500 worth of extra at home chiropractic tools and $300 orthotic inserts. The Doctor repeated stated that if you were not willing to use the tools at home and do your homework that he would not take you on as a patient (aka you had to buy these items to be a patient with them ). I ended up paying $250 out of pocket for two visits here, despite only being adjusted at one after asking. Pricing was not clearly explained to me beforehand when I declined to sign their contract. The initial visits were long and drawn out, each about an hour long and included watching videos focused on worst-case outcomes if you don't continue chiropractic care. I got up to leave and clearly stated the cost was not affordable at $800 per month for 4 months. The Dr. continued to talk about changing payment options to weekly, or spreading out payments and questioned my commitment to fixing any spine related problems. I was escorted from his office to the front desk. I also felt pressured to schedule follow-up appointments ASAP before leaving the office. After canceling over the phone the next day I received multiple calls (3-4 times) from the office and was asked to come back in for a "closing" appointment, which I declined. Overall, this felt far more like a high-pressure car sales environment than a patient-centered medical office. I've since had a completely different experience at another Arlington practice that accepts my insurance without contracts, upselling, or any tools required (wellness RX Arlington) I hope this helps others make an informed decision.

Kula and our physical therapist Megan Hartnett. Jonathan's assessment was incredibly thorough and thoughtful. I reached out after calling several places but wasn't getting my questions answered. I left a message and Jonathan called back within an hour. He made time for us to come in the next day (even though he was booked solid) and even offered to meet me and my son in front of the building in case I needed help getting into the office. He and Megan Hartnett took the time to understand my son's injury, read all of the reports, asked pertinent questions, and then proceeded to explain to us the plan and process for his recovery. His first priority was getting my son mobile and moving forward safely and confidently. That level of attention gave us tremendous reassurance during what had been a very stressful experience for our family. Megan Hartlett has been equally exceptional throughout his rehabilitation. She has approached his physical therapy with such care, patience, and skill, while also knowing when to challenge him and help him recognize how much progress he is making. Watching him regain his strength, mobility, and confidence has been remarkable. We still have a ways to go but here we are over the half way mark and I'm happy. But to start: He genuinely cares about his patients. Not just the one on one care for PT, but as you as a person! I get to spend an hour with him and have really good conversation along with getting excellent care. He is very "hands on" which I appreciate. He listens to your concerns. And he goes hands-on whether it be massage or be cupping. And then gives you exercises and make sure you don't leave until you understand what you have to do. Immediately the woman says "we don't take your insurance", I said no problem I'll pay out of pocket. Immediately the woman say "well we're about to close but I can refer you to Dr. Connolly at the Spine Center, he takes your insurance ". I said I understand but I'm in pain and I'm paying out of pocket as my insurance does not take effect until February, the woman writes Dr. Connolly's name on the back of her business card and says "he can help you, we're about to close and I'm going on vacation so I can't schedule you". Dr. Ujjwal started with Active Release Technique, pressing down on the most painful part of my knee and forcing movement. It was a little painful, but afterward, I walked out of my very first session with far less pain and no limp at all! And it's only improved since then. I also recently had an MRI and the orthopedist was shocked they dont require an mri before starting people on this stem cell stuff. After my stem cell shots I was supposed to be in the braces I was required to pay for and be and the office "forgot" to order them and I didn't have them for over a week. I bring this up bc if it was important for me to have the braces and pay for them why weren't they ready. Things like this made me think of how they overcharge for things that are not necessary.
