Had to get a replacement tire after catching a flat. The gentleman were friendly and informative. It took less than 20 minutes!

I had a pesky leak on my left front tire that only got worse the more I prolonged it. At first I…read morewas able to put air in the tire and it would last for around 3-4 days but now it was only good for hours before my tire would go flat. To make matters worse all four of these tires are basically new and less than 30 days old! Anyway, this whole thing was driving me nuts, so I started shopping around for a place. I remembered this local place that allowed you to drive up for on-the-spot repair and they work on your tire(s) while you wait in your car, so I decided to give them a try and I'm really glad I did. When I arrived there were a couple of cars ahead of me, which wasn't a big deal since this place is similar to a drive-thru you allowing you to conveniently wait your turn in your car. They work pretty quickly here and before I knew it I'm pulling forward to get my tire looked at. The mechanic was friendly, respectful, and took the time to listen to what was going on with my tire. He quickly got the tire off, diagnosed the problem, and explained what needed to be done in plain language. The problem was with the valve stem, which had a leak. The mechanic got right to work making the repair and explaining to me what he was doing. The work was done efficiently and correctly, and he made sure everything was explained to my satisfaction. There was no pressure, no upselling, and no runaround; just honest work and solid service. Oh, and the cost of this repair was less than 25 bucks! I couldn't believe I received this much service and such great work at this price point. What makes this place stand out to me is the customer service from all of the staff, but in particular the mechanics themselves that are actually working on your car. Usually, the people working on your car are hidden in a garage somewhere while you wait in a waiting room, so you never actually meet the mechanic working on your car. At Mac's you are up close and personal to the mechanic. That's a huge plus in my book. You can tell this is a local business that actually cares about its reputation and all of the customers coming there. It's the kind of shop where they remember you, talk to you with respect, and make sure you leave satisfied. If you're tired of chain shops and want to support a local business that does quality work and treats customers right, this is the place to go. They earned my trust, and I'll definitely be back for future tire and service needs. Highly recommended!

If you get a nail, screw, or slow leak in your tire, head straight to Mac's. I'm a repeat customer…read moreand they are expert specialists who do tire repair and replacement and do it well. This longtime independent black-owned business is a real asset to DC, and they make everyone feel welcome. Mac's even promptly provide personal online responses to quote requests. No upsell, no gimmicks, just friendly professional service with unheard-of 24/7 hours. Cash or debit card recommended to avoid a reasonable credit card surcharge. Great value, with tires plugged in 15 minutes or so (once your vehicle is "up") for under $30. Keep up the great work!

Because I've come so often, I had no problem going alone to get my tire plugged. First, I was told it could be plugged, then it needed a patch, then the patch machine wasn't working. So, come tomorrow or get a new tire. All of this by the younger guy. I said I'd come back tomorrow and was then told the other patch machine was working. Then the hole was too big for a patch, then I needed a new tire altogether. Told them I'd let my husband bring it back and they said they close at 4. Looking here online, they close at 6. Just lying!!! Then they called the fake "manager" (probably family) on the phone to convince me. Finally, they would give me a used tire for $80. Who pays $80 for a used tire AND I've gotten used tires from them before for less? After being there for an hour, the "manager" said $70...I said fine to get out of there. However, I hope the $70 was worth it because we've spent alot more than that there and it was the last. Too many tire places, to get ripped off by one. Hope you're better to your next customer.

Recently, I took my vehicle to order new tires and the new shop manager Eddie managed to assist. He gave me an affordable price, a discount, order the new tires and I received them soon thereafter. However, be VERY, VERY, careful of the installation because the unsupervised technicians are not knowledgeable of the correct way to replace tires without damaging your TPMS system. Mine were damaged after the installation, and I have been dealing with the new manager for 2 weeks who has not been available to address and fix this issue. Constant cancellations and delays in a easy resolution. A relationship and reputation built in years destroyed in minutes. So sad, but I will not be going to this shop.
