It's another bureaucratic money making utility that definitely runs a monopoly on this is us who live in the city itself. There needs to be some more programs for people who struggle during seasons of financial hardship. I had surgery the beginning of July and am recovering, have a job to go back to but no income until I go back, all while my wife is holding down the fort (barely) All the while not getting any grace on our bill to help juggle, instead they just turn you off. Then to top it off they close out your bill and make you come up with an upwards of 1700 dollars to reinstate. Something needs to change in the way they conduct business. Yes they have a business to run, but also yes, they should be helping serve. My wife works from home and now our power is out. Thanks Redding electric for opening our eyes to your shady and graceless business practices.
