He sounded very sketchy. Either this company is operating illegally or their service rep doesn't know what he's talking about. Either way-Not Good. We had a cold spap weather this week and when I called four heating companies none could come out for service for three days more I reached California Heating at 4pm and they came out the next morning as promised and within twenty minutes diagnosed why my 40 year old Coleman furnace had stopped working. As it turned out my HOA had hired a plumber to replace my gas meter which meant they had to turn off the gas without telling me which meant there was no gas for the pilot light. California Heating cleaned the furnace relit the pilot light. The total charge was $135 the cost of a service call. Great job One of my best friends used them twice once for a complete new furnace for his home and another for a wall unit on a rental property.

I crawled underneath my house (as did mark) and found evidence of rust and leaks that Mark never even mentioned. This is stuff that was going on for years and was easily detected by an inexperienced new homeowner. Mark doesn't use a moisture meter which indicates how much moisture is in the wood and if he had he could have told us what we needed to know about the condition of the house we we're buying. I do not recommend this company to anyone looking to buy a home. We also learned the door to our garage isn't fire-rated, another thing he missed. Never hire a home inspector in HumCo who doesn't use moisture readers- it's like walking into a huge financial obligation completely blind.

The original salesman assured me they would always be responsive and "just a phone call away". That hasn't been my experience. Once they received their money in full, no more contact. It was a nightmare getting them to complete and submit the required paperwork so I could receive my rebate. When I spoke with the owner about the issues, rather than acknowledging their shortcomings, the blame was always placed with others entities, (the County, the utility company, etc.), which wasn't the case.
