Have had their service years but will change upon contract expiration. Worst customer service ever!!!

Terrible robbers they stole our fuel when picking up our tank which took the 6 months to pick up then charged us over $500 to pick up tank. We have a new house with two tanks totaling 1500 gallons. We had a remote sensing Amerigas device on one of the tanks which was removed as we own the tanks and will not do business with this company. We filled the tanks and had leak check done in 11/2024. The home is not occupied and all our appliances are electric. I went to the house yesterday and Amerigas installed a new sensor and on this tank was completely empty. I check our tanks regularly and had no issue of loosing fuel. Hate to say this but think Amergas has taken our fuel from the tank they put the sensor on. read more

I told them not to refill automatically, and they refilled anyway. They charged $3.86 gal when Ed's quoted $2.05. They have no office in McCall so you have to go through a terrible process of phone transfers to talk to a person who is of no help. I can't understand how they stay in business. read more

Used Amerigas 5 years ago...service was spotty and they were unreliable. Changed to Ed Staub and Sons and am happy with price, service and reliability. Received a bill about 90 days ago (10/21/23) from AmeriGas, they checked our propane tank for leaks...that was neither requested nor authorized by us. We have been dealing with a call center for 90 days to resolve the unauthorized charge and are getting nowhere. Have filed a complaint to BBB. Also sent dispute information to company in Ohio via USPS certified mail. I can not find a U.S. phone number to resolve the complaint. Beware of unethical practices. read more

Complete rip-off! They price gouge their customers to double the price of their competitors! I received propane delivery this week at a cost of $4.42 per gallon. Called Ed's Propane for a quote of $2.60 per gallon. The Amerigas customer service agent offered nothing to address the price gouging or to keep me as a customer. I closed my account! read more

Filled my propane tank this week at $3.586 per gallon. I was shocked that prices had increased SO MUCH since Spring. So I checked other propane companies in my area and found that the going rate is around $2.00 per gallon ($1.90 to $2.34). I called Amerigas, and all they kept doing is reading a pre-written statement...ultimately saying there was nothing they could do, except offer a "payment plan". They shouldn't be able to do this! I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!! read more

Absolutely the worst customer service EVER! I'm in a small mountain town and noticed that my propane was getting a little low. I attempted to call and place an order. They have implemented a new automated order system. This system does not recognize my phone number so I can't do anything. I request customer service. After 2 days of calling and over an hour of total hold time, I get someone to answer and tell me they will help me. Guess what? She hung up on me! Lots more waiting and second girl sends me back to the que... where my phone number doesn't work. Lots more calling and waiting. Third girl answers and same thing. Right back to the que that doesn't know I exist! Each and every time I explained that I couldn't log in online or through the phone, yet they all sent me back there. I have another company coming out to establish service. Amerigas needs to go away. They don't act like they want customers, so they are loosing yet another! read more

In the past I've had a lot of trouble understanding the bill. For some reason it is more confusing than most bills. Fortunately, the customer service has been very good and they've always helped to explain any issues. read more
