I typically like to read reviews and almost didn't contact this company because of the one star review on Yelp. But since it was over 6 years ago, I decided to reach out for an estimate anyways. A lot of other flooring companies I contacted either gave a very high quote, or didn't install carpets. Leigh contacted me and asked for the details that we knew, and based on the information I provided her, she gave me a rough estimate. After the sale went through, I contacted them again to see what type of carpet they offered and I was put in contact with Shawn. At the time we were living out of state, and did a FaceTime, but it was hard to see the true colors and feel of the carpets. Shawn and the other ladies at the shop decided that it would be best to send me some samples. That was super helpful! As we have young children they sent us options that would cover up spills and messes. I thought that was very thoughtful of the staff, and appreciated that. The samples came within 3 business days and I got to choose which one I liked the most. We were on a bit of a time crunch as we needed to do some remodeling inside the house and they were able to work with us and squeeze us in right on schedule! The other 2 involved special order furniture and both times the delivery time was longer than expected or promised. On April 4th we ordered a bedroom set that we were told would take 8-12 weeks. On July 7th we were told it was on the truck enroute from Pennsylvania. On July 28 we were promised delivery no later than the 2nd of August as the truck was due on 7-31 or 8-1. Matt promised that it would be delivered Friday or Saturday depending on what day it arrived. The freight wasn't delivered to People's until Saturday morning. By the time delivery is finally made it will have been 18 weeks from purchase to delivery. After calming down I realized that the problem didn't lie with People's primarily. The reached out and explained the situation and satisfied me that they did their best but the delivery from manufacture to them was out of their control.

These people are criminals. To start, I watched three men spend half a day installing three pieces…read moreof drywall. In addition they never even sanded the seams so I'll have to do it before I can paint. They also refused to replace an electrical panel which was compromise with water because they "Didn't see any rust". Never mind the independent electrician did. I also spoke with the state inspector who said it doesn't matter if there's rust or not, compromise electrical panels need to be replaced. It should be made clear the only reason this even came to my attention was because some dough head, whilst installing my bathroom floor which was a fiasco as well, indiscriminately Ran a screw to the powerline to my baseboard heater causing it to arc. Following a flood it would've been super fun to have a fire. It's completely unclear way that baseboard heater needed to be removed us to install flooring. This flood involved maybe 200 ft.² at most and the end cost was $20,000 and took over four months. I can't tell you the rental income I lost while I worked with multiple project managers since their turnover occurs almost monthly. Each new one blaming the last one for the fiasco that was my project.
