We returned a mattress after only 3 days, a split king, didn't care for it. Went back to choose another mattress, was informed we pay to ship the split king back even though they have to return to our home to pick it up for the exchange with the mattress we ultimately chose. They wouldn't budge on charging for pick up. Ridiculous. We feel when they did finally make the exchange, they brought up a inferior mattress than the one we chose. I came here the weekend before Christmas as we are in the process of looking for a new mattress and this place had great reviews on another site. This was my first stop and I have not been mattress shopping before, so I did not know what to expect with what they would have and the price ranges. Thanks to this stop, I now know how to handle these places if they are all going to be like car shopping where they get you to spend too much time there and try to haggle you. I told my sales guy right away I was just starting the process and wanted to look around. I also mentioned that I would not be purchasing today as I wanted to make the choice with my husband, but hopefully narrow it down before returning with him. Instead of understanding that, he kept saying oh we have a spouse guarantee and what can I do to get you to buy today? This was not once or twice that he did this, but multiple times. I ended up leaving and telling the guy I would be back with my husband, but sure enough, the more I thought about it, the more I realized I had no desire to buy from this store even if they offered me the best price or deal. When you can't listen and want to push push push, that just pushes me away. Thanks but no thanks. Again, I can thank this place for helping me figure out how to handle other stores once I start looking again if they are all going to be the same way. read more

We purchased a BeautyRest Hybrid in Oct 2019. We decided to take advantage of the upgrade / exchange period and purchased a Simmons BeautyRest Black X-Class Medium. Moving up from the Plush to the Medium and also to a mattress with better construction and more features has made all the difference. Excellent mattress and comfort. Allan Slaydon helped us both in Oct and also in Jan when we made the upgrade. Allan is very knowledgeable- friendly and not "pushy". He wants his customers to be satisfied. We've not had the new BeautyRest Black for 6 weeks- extremely satisfied. The delivery Team was on-time and very helpful. I'd definitely buy another mattress from America's Mattress and I'd likely ask for Allan Slaydon as my Sales Manager. read more

We want to advise everyone to avoid this mattress place, no doubt they sell reconditioned mattress, had a major issue with mattress and depressions/edge are very saggy, after i called 4 times to complain, they finally sent me to mattress marshalls for inspections, had me pay 50 dollars, and had me wait for 3 weeks to tell me that tony (owner of Americas Mattress) would reach out to me, which he never did. This store and business sells over priced mattress and DONOT honor warranties, but rather want to do the old sell and dance and not honor customer service. What a horrible and total ripoff business AVOID these people and shop at a reputable store, I know we will, as will the faithful people of Charlotte NC!!! I actually bought from the Waxhaw location, but it's not listed as an option. Important to know what you are getting in to with this company. I filed a complaint with the BBB as well..... The mattress smells like a mix between mothballs and a men's locker room and I have had to hire a mitigation company to get the smell out of the bedroom that the mattress was in. I followed the suggested guidelines as to let it "air out" before putting sheets on it with no luck. What's even worse is the $100 they want to charge me to have it picked up and taken out of there. I put it in my garage until I can figure out what to do with it, and now my garage is unusable. Lots of false advertising by this company, sort of like a bait and switch. I called to get my money back from their "120 day guarantee" but was told there isn't any such guarantee, and that I would have a $1,500 credit on my account to go buy another mattress that smells like moth balls. Talk about false advertising. What's worse is that on their "brochure" (see pic attached), it states there is no restocking fee, yet in the fine print of their contract, there is one. There are much better options everywhere.  I should have gone across the street to Mattress Firm but I believe in supporting local businesses. Shame on me. read more

We bought a King size mattress and box springs. They were delivered on Monday, July 10, 2023. One of the box springs has a rip in it so I told the delivery guys (before they brought the mattress upstairs) I didn't want to accept the delivery due to the rip (I had problems with our sectional arriving damaged and it took months to get it resolved). They were just going to put the mattress on it and not tell me about the rip. Yes, it's noticeable because the top cover that was cut is black and the inside is white. One of the guys called a manager and they promised if I kept it they would exchange the box spring on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. I agreed only if they were positive they would exchange the damaged box spring on Wednesday. The delivery guy promised and said he would be the one coming back so we set it for Wednesday between 2 and 4pm. Wednesday morning at 8am 2 guys (not the previous delivery guy) shows up but I wasn't home so I talked to him through my doorbell video and said they were suppose to come between 2 and 4pm. He said oh that's right. I forgot so I'll come back. Then around 11am I get a call from Ron Ferguson (our sales person) saying that he was just told about our box spring and that no one will be coming back to exchange today. He said he would figure something out and call me back. I sat home all day waiting for the delivery and/or a call back from Ron and received neither. Three hours later I called Ron for an update which his response was that he has left two calls for the owner and hasn't gotten a reply back. I told him that since I was lied to by the delivery guy (since Ron said he's the manager so he's not sure what manager they would have called), that I wanted to just return it. I have company coming and that set was for our guest room so I needed it resolved ASAP which I would tell that wasn't going to happen. He said since I accepted the delivery I can't return it. That was never told to us when we purchased it nor did the delivery guys mention it. Now it's July 13, 2023 and I haven't heard from Ron all day and it's 5:34pm now. I am now disputing the charges on my credit card and I will NEVER recommend them or buy from them again. It's sad that a company take your money, deliver a ripped box spring and then just ghost you. Buyer Beware: I will give you the facts and allow you to determine if ownership and management at America's Mattress are the types of people you want to do business with. Back in February, my family and I went shopping at America's Mattress store in Pineville, looking for a mattress for my daughter. While looking for our daughters mattress the conversation turned to how my wife was uncomfortable with our current mattress, she was waking up sore and ultimately not getting a restful nights sleep. We discussed that I prefer a softer mattress, and my wife a firm. The store manager who we were working with suggested that we look at getting a split mattress so that we could each get the type of mattress we desired. The manager did a nice job of selling the benefits of the spit King(Two Twins), he sold us on the stores 100% Customer Satisfaction guarantee(written and on brochures) and the store's SLEEP EASY GUARANTEE(125 DAY COMFORT GUARANTEE). I had not intended to purchase a mattress for my wife and me when we entered the store that day, but based on my conversation with the manager we ultimately decided to purchase one for my daughter and one for us as well. With sheets, box springs, mattress covers, and two sets of mattresses, we spent $8,176.74. My wife and I were very excited about our new mattress and eagerly awaited its arrival. The mattress arrived as scheduled and off we went hoping that the split mattress was the solution we had been looking for. We did not instantly fall in love with our new mattress but realized that we needed to give it some time to break in the mattress. After sleeping on the mattress for greater than 60 days, we realized that we were not satisfied with the split mattress concept. Despite having different preferences on firmness, we could never get comfortable with the split in the middle and decided we needed to find a King Tempur Pedic mattress that would satisfy both our needs. Having made the decision that we needed to make a change, I called the store manager to discuss the problems we were experiencing and our desire to enact the Sleep Easy Guarantee. It was during this conversation that I was informed there was a pricing difference between the King solid and the two Twins we had purchased. The price on the Two Twin's was higher($6,198) vs. the price of the King at $5,199(List Price). It was brought to my attention, at this time, that their SLEEP EASY GUARANTEE only applies to a mattress of equal or greater value, meaning, if we choose to make the exchange, we would be left forfeiting the difference of greater than a thousand dollars. When I protested, the manager insisted that he mentioned this when we signed the contract. I do not recall this as part of the conversation; maybe he did, what I do recall however is him citing the guarantee "If after a minimum of thirty nights, you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will help you find a different sleep solution within 125 days". In my mind stating, "if you are not completely satisfied, we will help you find a different sleep solution" means they will work to find a solution that is in the customers best interest. What I can say with 100% certainty is that the manager NEVER mentioned a price difference or the possibility of not being refunded the difference between the two mattresses if we didn't like the two twins and reverted to a King. Had I known that there was a possibility of this, I would have never taken a risk on this split concept. I could understand their position if we were attempting to exchange for an inferior, less expensive mattress, but that was not the case. The two Twins did not work so we opted for the top of the line most expensive King Tempur Pedic that was available. As mentioned above, we also purchased sheets and mattress covers($438.00) for the split king, since we were now going back to a traditional king those items would no longer work. When I asked if I could exchange them, for a traditional set, we were denied. In fairness, they did tell me that they would be willing to give me a 30% discount if I wanted to purchase a new set. Needless to say, I declined their offer. It is in my opinion that this situation could have been handled in a manner that puts customer satisfaction first and foremost, but as you can see, they opted to go in the opposite direction. It would have been very easy for them to put the customer first, to make sure that we were 100% satisfied like they promote, but instead they elected to ignore the first rule in business, "The customer is always right." Truthfully I was not looking to be right; I just wanted what was fair. When you total up the difference in the mattress cost($999.00) and the Mattress covers($438.00), this was a Huge loss. Look no further. I had spent all day looking at mattresses, couches, ottoman etc. given, this place only sells mattresses it was hands-down the best buying experience of the entire day. Benny was very easy-going super knowledgeable and low-pressure sale style which I'm sure most everyone prefers especially when your entire day is surrounded by people trying to get you to buy their stuff. He wasn't about putting us in the most expensive thing he could, we got there told him our budget and he gave us something half the price that we told him we were willing to spend because he said it was the better option out of all of the things we had tested. read more

Attempted to return a pillow in the 14 day period and they refused to refund our money. HORRIBLE BUSINESS. STAY AWAY!!!!! I live in Florida and we went to South Carolina to visit my mom for Christmas. My husband decided to visit this store and purchase a pillow for me. When I opened it I did not like the way it felt. The paperwork stated that if the package is open that it is not eligible to be returned and returns were only accepted in a 14 day period. Well, I woke up the next morning and had to travel back to Florida where I attempted to return the item but they stated that all the stores were independently owned and I need to go to the one NC. So, now I paid to ship the item to my mom so she could handle it for me. They were completely unwilling to refund our money because the plastic was torn, I could really care less what paperwork says...I literally was charged $200 just to feel the damn thing because that's what the pillow cost. I am absolutely mortified by the owner Tony. No compassion what so ever. HORRIBLE people to work with. That pillow was brand new and touched by my hand only. It was returned on the 14 day period but just refused to help me. Thank you so much for ruining my Christmas present. My husband was just trying to make me happy. americas mattress in pineville,nc is the slesest dealership i have delt with,no backup on sealy ,mine is about 8 months old and has a hole in the middle you can nor roll out of, very uncomfortable, sent out someone who was new really did not know what he was doing, measure and no try out to see problem. don't be a fool and get taken by americas mattress or sealy mattress.will never deal with these people agian. there are better mattress companys to buy from and much better service. read more

This is a really wonderful company to purchase a mattress from and I say that for the following reasons: One, all the salespeople there are great. There is absolutely NO pressure and they let you take as much time as you need. They are very patient with you and that is much appreciated when you are making such an expensive purchase. They are so helpful and I really felt they weren't trying to "up sell" me, but rather are honest and give their unbiased opinion and advice. Two, their Comfort Guarantee is such a great perk. No matter how long you try out the mattress at the store, it's not the same as getting it home and sleeping on it in the comfort of your home. This is one of the reasons why they have the Comfort Guarantee and they understand that and that is so important! My husband I decided on one of the most expensive mattresses there, but after getting it home it just wasn't for me. It felt wonderful in the store of course, but again, it's hard to know until it's really time to go to bed. After the designated amount of time required to try out the bed, I gave them a call and went in to find out how the exchange worked. It was so easy and hassle free. Three, this companies' priority is definitely the satisfaction of their customers. While everyone has to make a profit of course, they really show that it isn't just about their numbers and sales. When trying to figure out what mattress I wanted to purchase, Benny, one of the salespeople, really went out of his way to do everything he could make me happy. That really went a long way for me. He really tried to work with me, and in the end, that spoke volumes. Had a wonderful experience here, with a very down to earth wanting to help vibe! I spoke with John he was very happy and helpful, he taught me a few important things I didn't even know mattered in a mattress. I ended up getting a really cool hybrid bed and had it delivered next day, they were very efficient and the drivers were very respectful when they set it up. I payed a decent price for a great bed I think they called it the premium bundle. Overall wonderful experience I didn't feel as if they were pushy, the whole vibe was very relaxing, surprisingly relaxing.
