Not the cheapest thing around but we thought it was worth it. The promised delivery date was scheduled for September 10th. This day came and went with now call, no email, no notice of any kind that our mattress would not be delivered. I called the salesman and was told that there had been a mixup at the warehouse and that our mattress was not available but would be delivered September 16. Yesterday the mattress arrived and based on the condition of this mattress we refused delivery. This thing had at least one hole that we found, and was dirty on both sides of the mattress - like picked up on the side of the road dirty. So as soon as this happens I call to get a refund and the salesman apologized then promised a full refund. (I'm thinking that's mighty thoughtful of ya man.) When I check the bank at 5pm today looking to confirm the refund I see that once again the Mattress Firm has failed to deliver. I call the salesman to ask what happened. He says a refund will take another 5-7 days. This is unacceptable. The money they took from my account for a mattress they took a month to FAIL TO DELIVER is not something I am willing to tolerate giving them use of for another week. This company is a disaster and I would highly recommend avoiding them at all costs.

I didn't understand why Google said this location had 5 stars on yelp, but now I see it's because the reviews are 2+ years old. So I thought I'd leave an updated one. The second we walked in, the lady at the desk greeted us and seemed sweet. She asked us if we needed anything, so I proceeded to tell her that I wasn't sure because my husband and I had never been mattress shopping before. She just said "okay". After asking if we could lay on the mattresses and she handed us some bags with a sheet in them and explained what to do, then she just went back to her desk. There was a man who must have been the manager who was in the back or something came out because they had customers. I was expecting him to say something, or ask us what we were looking for, or even offer up knowledge about the mattresses to help us find something that fit our needs......... instead he just stood in the lobby the entire time without saying a word and just watched us walk around. We're pushing on mattresses, trying to read the grading tag, trying to understand on our own what the gradings meant, did a few passes per mattress...... The man never even said hi. He didn't even move at all. He just stood in one spot and stared at us awkwardly the entire time we were in there. The girl at the desk never said anything to us after her initial reaction either. It was so uncomfortable we just said thanks and left.

After 3 attempts to deliver a dresser, I'm beyond frustrated. 1st delivery: I waited all day only to have the dresser arrive damaged. After a 3-week wait, the 2nd delivery was another disaster. I waited all day again, only to get a call at 6:15 PM saying the replacement dresser was broken. Then, 2 weeks later, the 3rd attempt was an even bigger joke. The driver didn't show up. At 6:40 PM, I got a call saying he needed 45 minutes to arrive--after I had waited all day! When I spoke to the manager at the Pineville, NC store, the best they could do was schedule another attempt 2 weeks out, with no guarantee of a daytime delivery. I asked to cancel the order and have them pick up the damaged piece. A few minutes later, I got a call saying they could pick up the damaged dresser in 2 days but couldn't deliver a replacement until mid-December. Where's the logic in that? This has been an absolutely unbelievable customer service experience. For a company that calls itself customer-focused, this is unacceptable. Especially since it's a fair assumption that they work on commission. I recently visited due to some neck problems, thinking that a nice pillow might alleviate some of my issues. I entered the store while passing by with my in-laws and I asked a few questions. The pillows were on promotion for buy one get one free. I didn't want to delay my in-laws, and the saleslady seemed fairly helpful, so I thought I'd return when I had more time. I returned a few days later, midweek after a run, at about 8:30pm. Knowing the mall closed at 9, I rushed straight from my run in gym gear very hot and sweaty. However, I knew for the most part what I was after. I walked in and was given a once over by the saleslady (different than the one I had spoke to prior) and by a gentleman that appeared to be a manager. I immediately felt judged as if they assumed I'd not be making a purchase. I tried asking questions since the order of the pillows had changed and I only knew the one that was recommended prior based on it's location. No attempt was made to engage me and very little information was offered. I mentioned the sale, making it clear I had been in before and trying to make it clear that my intent was to make a purchase. Still, nothing. I was told that sale was over and that it would be back for Black Friday weekend. I explained that I would be out of town for Black Friday weekend and was in specifically to look at them now. Silence. I pulled out my phone and then glared blankly at the pillows. I was being watched with continuous judgement. I eventually left after muttering that they were already too expensive and apparently just not meant to be. Mind you, I walked in the store intending to spend about $300 on pillows. I left angry and confused. Truly needing the pillows for comfort and relief, I refuse to go back. Even if I did go back, I'd much rather have given my business to the original saleslady that had answered my questions. If business continues in this manner, they won't last long. Hopefully management can get it together. They truly deserved a one star rating based on that interaction alone. I'm graciously giving them 2 simply because of how helpful the first saleslady was during my initial visit.
