This locally owned plant nursery will blow your socks off. They have the nicest staff. It's hard to…read moretrack them down, because they're completely hands on and stay busy taking great care of the plants they have. A couple of friends and I stopped by for the succulent class. Desiree spent over an hour with us, helping us choose our plants, talking to us about our selections and helping us pot them. Sadly, we learned from an employee of the store that the man who used to provide the yard art is "currently running from the law" so his inventory wasn't on display. Bummer. They have excellent customer service and a good supply of things you'd probably want.

They confirmed they had it in stock, so we headed down the road to the store. When we got there, we were a little confused because Google Maps took up to an art shop. Luckily there was a little sign above the shop that said Dallas Green was around the corner, so we pulled around and parked. It was difficult to see the entrance because of all the pallets piled around, but we found the door. When we walked in, the employees looked at us and then went about their business. We walked around looking for the feed, but couldn't find it, so we asked an employee. They told us we need to pay for it at the register and then to drive around to pick it up, so we paid $20+ and then headed out to our car. We pulled in to the warehouse and the employee confirmed we wanted 30% game bird crumble. He then started yelling at another employee for not doing his job while he went and looked for the crumble. He came back to the car with a 50lb bag and my husband opened the trunk for him. He put the bag in the back and told us how to get out of the warehouse (you just pull forward and make a left). Once we got home and went to give the quail chicks their food, we realized they gave us pellets instead of crumble. The birds are too little to eat pellets, so for now I'll need to blend it before giving it to them. It's extra work I didn't want to do, but I already opened the bag so I can't swap it out for crumble. I feel like this place has good prices and I like the ease of driving through the warehouse. When we try this place again, we'll double check that they grabbed the correct feed though.

The set up is similar to an indoor flee market. They have many cute things and it could be dangerous for me to spend too much time looking through all the booths, since I may just buy everything I see. I bought an item from one of the booth owners through social media advertising, and we met at the store. She let me browse through everything to see what all the latest displays were. The Christmas theme was prominent throughout, but there were plenty of other vintage items. I'm partial to anything with dogs, and they have many many items, big and small, that I could fall in love with. I would recommend everyone to stop in, when they are in the area.

One of the spruce trees and three of the aspen trees didn t survive the transplant. Layton s contract states Plants that fail to survive within 60 days from time of planting will be replaced at no cost to the owner . Within two weeks of planting I contacted Larry Layton and informed him that the trees were not alive and he said he would replace them. After 30+ phone calls and multiple conversations and false promisses, it's almost a year later and they still have not replaced my trees! I am about to file a claim against Layton Tree Farms in small claims court.

Unfortunately, the only thing they had left was mint -- they had run out of everything else. Even though I couldn't get most of what I wanted, everyone inside was very friendly and welcoming. The store itself was nice, but the vegetable area outside was a bit disappointing -- the ground was dirty and wet, which got my clothes and shoes messy. The value of the plant was really good. I'm glad I was able to find at least one thing I needed, and I'll try to come earlier next year in hopes they have more in stock.
