It's very rare that you are in better spirits after your door repair tech comes out lol. Guess "emergency" means different things to different people but "SUPERIOR" is definitely not what this company should claim to be.

My time is no more or less valuable than others but if I make an appt, I don't want to be blown off. I call at 4:00 and the first thing they want to do is reschedule me. I'd already taken time off! They said they'd get back to me with an ETA and I didn't get anything. They really didn't seem to care so I guess they won't care about my honest review. It's not like I was asking for same day service. Professionals don't do this. If there's a problem, a professional will call you and make you aware of the problem. They didn't call. I had to call them and when they told me they'd put me on the schedule first thing the following day, I said NO! I waited 5 hours before I called. I've called another company and I'll edit this review after the work is completed. The MOORES DOORS COMPANY HAS NO PROBLEMS WASTING YOUR TIME SO DON'T LET THEM. Don't do business with people like these who don't care if they waste your time. There are better companies so use another company!

Such was the case yesterday when my garage door opener gave up the ghost. I reached out to a buddy who flips houses and asked if he had a provider he liked for that kind of work and without a moment's hesitation he connected me with Royal Garage Door in Lenexa. I called to see about making an appointment and the receptionist was so very helpful in articulating the potential issues I could be facing based on my description of the failure. She set me up for a service call that very afternoon, and my technician, Jeff, arrived just a bit early. I fully expected a worst case scenario diagnosis and a hard sell for new doors and openers. Imagine my surprise when Jeff told me the doors I had were actually in pretty good shape. He talked with me about what was happening on the failed door and made some observations about the door that was still functioning. Not once did he push me to buy something I didn't need. He explained various models of openers available, and he educated me about the way springs should work and showed me where mine were compromised. In return for his excellent information, I requested new springs and openers for both of my garage doors. Jeff came back today to complete the work we discussed. His work was efficient and his explanations were thorough. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! I would highly recommend Royal Garage Door if you're looking for a service provider.

After I told him I screwed up the door myself by attempting an install of the wireless unit I bought at Home Depot, he nodded, smiled, and made some adjustments to the door. I know better than to mess with a garage door and its spring. A couple days later, as scheduled, he came back and replaced the keypad, which was the reason I got the Home Depot fiasco in a box, and I couldn't be happier. His personality and willingness to JUST FIX things nailed it for me. Are there some issues to handle in the future? Yes. Did he point them out? Yes. Should I do more than just the basics?
