Super responsive which was greatly appreciated as I was stuck in my garage and needed to get to work!

So the other day our garage door quit lifting. The motor sounded normal (to me), and if I disengaged the door, the carrier moved back and forth, but when the door was engaged, nothing. So I had the great good fortune of meeting Dylan Harrington. He was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. He had my problem diagnosed in about 2 minutes (motor was dying in the unit). He gave me a fair estimate, then proceeded to give me a discount and even did a few extras as he got me fixed. He got me fixed the same day very quickly. He also did a tuneup of my second door, adjusting the springs on both so they were balanced. All while being kind, courteous, and very, very competent. TOTALLY recommend these guys, and Dylan in particular! They are now my "go-to" for anything related to my garage doors, and I'll be asking for Dylan in the future. read more

The guys at JV Garage Door came in through a recommendation by Home Depot. They installed my new garage door motor quickly and competently. Good price! New unit has been working great for months now with no issues. I would not hesitate to hire them again. read more

Called to see if they could fix my garage door. They were out that day, got the work done, and charged a fair price. Even gave me some diy tips to replace rollers, when the time came, to save me some money. Highly recommend. read more

He explained what he was doing as he worked - offered very competitive pricing, and was able to fit me in same day service! Easy to schedule, the service I requested did exactly what I needed, priced very fair, quick, and my garage doors are operating perfectly.

Our garage door and remote were acting up. I reached out through Yelp for a quote. JV was the only one who gave a quote. The others made the typical sales pitch but no quote. Joshua offered to be here the next day but I was busy. He came by today, quickly assessed the problem, fixed it within 30 minutes. He explained that there is a lubricant in the ceiling device, which I didn't know about. He lubricated all the parts and we're good to go! I definitely recommend JV Garage Door. read more

Wanted to thank Josh for the call back on the service I received. Josh handled my concerns quickly and honestly and I would recommend him, My problem was small but difficult to diagnosis because it was an old garage door opener and both Eric and Josh took their time worked out the issue and resolved it. This company installed new doors and looks great! We ordered the doors, originally were told longer for the color we ordered. Got a call the next door they were in stock, installation was set up for the next week. Couldn't be more happier with the service. They were efficient and great quality. Very affordable!!! read more

I had two new doors installed. The technician was very polite and professional. The next day, I noticed that one of the doors was slightly out of alignment to my eye. I was a bit peeved that I just paid for new doors only to have a problem so soon. It wasn't a huge issue, but I'm fairly picky. I messaged JV and they came out the next day. They listened to my concern and made some adjustments to the door, to my satisfaction. A smarter person than me once said that the true test of a company is not when things go well, but when an issue arises. I think this is true. You know who you're dealing with when you have a problem. In this case, it was resolved promptly and thoroughly, to JV's credit. Thanks for the solid work, and your responsiveness to my concern. I will definitely recommend you to friends/family. read more

We decided to get our garage doors replaced after we had a garage door opener replaced. See review of Builders Overhead Door for that nightmare or an experience getting the opener replaced. The doors were the old wooden ones with 4 windows. I hated them. They were drafty and we have needed new ones for a long time. I looked on Yelp and found JV Garage Door LLC, read the review and looked him up on BBB and he has an A- rating the only reason it isn't an A is because they have only been open a year. I decided to give him a call. Joshua the owner is amazing. He is a young man that started his company a little over a year ago. He does the installs and his wife runs the office. I called him yesterday on a Thursday and he said he could pick up the two new steel, 3 panel, insulated, no window doors for us Friday morning and install them at 9am. He gave us a great price tax, installation, and removal all included in the price, no hidden fees!!! He was $500 less than the next closest quote!!! He was there at 9am sharp. Took out the old doors, installed the new ones, with new trim and hauled away all the trash, doors, old rails, and cables. He was efficient and friendly and fun to talk too. I would recommend him to anyone. GREAT LOCAL COMPANY. read more

Josh was great to work with. My wife backed into the garage door while it was still going up and dented the bottom panel pretty good. Overhead Door came out and got the door functioning, but said it was a short term fix and we would need to replace the entire panel for $580 or get a brand new double door for $1700. I called Josh and he said that did not sound right. I texted him some pictures of the damage and he said all I would need is a new strut. Came out a few days later and it was a quick easy fix for $125. Will definitely be using his services again and very much recommend him Thanks josh! read more

We called JV and Josh came out the same day. He quoted us a great price including everything we needed as well as removing the old broken door, hanging hardware and opener. He was back the next morning as promised. He was so professional and competent and his price was at least $400 less than the "big box" store, for a single garage door and opener. We love our new door and have had many nice comments from the neighbors on how much it has improved the look of our home. We will definitely refer JV to anyone needing garage door installation or service! read more

The cable popped on our door opener on a Saturday evening. I took a chance and sent a text msg to JV that same night. He replied fast and said he would see me Monday morning! I am juggling a lot because my Mom is sick and I'm in from California to help. I found Josh here on Yelp 3 years ago for Mom and was happy to contact him again. He's tech savvy and allowed me to pay via digital invoice so that I could use my credit card and pay from my phone. Everything was super smooth and service was excellent. Thanks again Josh! read more

It has to be a good company if you recommend them to your in-laws, and is exactly what I have done! Within 7 days we both had torsion springs break on our garage doors. JV Garage Door showed up within hours of our calls. Technicians were competent, neat, and respectful of us and our property. Their prices are very competitive. They will be at the top of my list from now on! read more

I called these guys because they had good reviews. They said I needed a new $275 opener. I called Overhead Door and the parts guy helped me through a reprogramming process and my door opener works fine now and no charge.I wonder how many other people bought an opener that they really did not need. Too many of these types out there. read more

Great service and fair pricing. The technician was at my house an hour after calling and had me fixed up with a new and quiet opener only about an hour after that. I have a weird garage door and he still did a great and fast job and even shored up some trim seals for me to polish off the great work. Would def call again should the need arise. read more

One evening after coming in late from mowing the grass, I noticed my garage door would not close. I was really upset. That same night I searched for garage door repair on Google and found a bunch of 5-star reviews on Yelp for a company called JV Garage Door. I gave the company a call at 11pm and left a voicemail about my problem. First thing in the morning, I received a call from Josh. He listened attentively to the problem and then worked around my schedule to repair the problem. He arrived around 4:30 that day. Within 3 seconds, he had fixed the problem. Somehow...the garage door had been accidentally "disengaged." With the flip of a switch, he "engaged" the door and it began to work. Even though I felt like an idiot, Josh was extremely cordial and made the error seem like a common mistake. Since my 20-year old garage opener was so antiquated and loud, I decided to have him replace my opener anyway. He installed the new Liftmaster 8355 with MyQ wireless technology, along with new non-metallic roller wheels for noise-reduction. I was impressed that Josh did not try to 'hard sell' the new opener. He left the decision completely up to me and seemed content to do whatever suited my needs. Within an hour and a half, the replacement was complete. New opener, new control pad outside, new infrared units, and new wheels. The final price was extremely reasonable and I immediately fell in love with the new opener. Everyone who hears my new garage door cannot believe how much quieter it is! My wife's only complaint is she can't hear the door opening from inside the house. She said: "Now I can't pretend like I'm working when you get home!!" I have recommended JV Garage Door to all my friends and family. read more

Conor was AMAZING! He was so kind, professional, and helpful. SO MUCH CHEAPER than other companies. We had one company try to gouge us, so we made an appt with a different company who canceled on us the day of and tried to tell us that it had to be us that they needed to reschedule because they had already canceled on everyone else multiple times. I finally asked for a recommendation on our neighborhood FB site and they recommended JV's. I called and they got us in the next day. We are so pleased with JV's Garage Doors, and we have finally found our forever company! Thank you, Conor, Josh, and JV's!! read more

JV has fixed both of my garage doors. He was there the next day after I called. And he didn't try to overprice me or sell me something I didn't need. Thank you Josh! I would recommend JV Garage Door to anyone. read more

I have needed their service three different times. First time to install new opener and the other two to repair damage done by new Drivers. JV Garage is a great local company. Excellent knowledge and resources and very reasonable prices. I called at 630pm on a Friday night and they were out at 9am on Saturday morning. Also they offer flat pricing; I have an extremely oversized double garage door and even though it took them extra time they didn't charge extra. However they did point out that there were a couple of parts of the door that were getting worn that the previous garage door company overlooked! Josh showed me the difference between my worn part and a new part asked if I wanted those replace those for $10 each while the door was apart--that was a no brainer. It's also a no brainer to call them for any of your garage door needs. read more

They came in and fixed one door before I could even get the list out of what our concerns were. They completed tune up and overview of doors quickly and priced was right!!! Definitely a keeper read more

My garage doors were working, but were so noisy and jumpy that I knew they would break at any given moment. Josh fit me in on a Saturday and did maintenance to both doors. They are working great now and his service was half the cost of other places. I love to support small businesses and would definitely call him again! read more
