I finally received a courteous communication from the business manager who apologized and explained their billing service made a mistake due a new employee making a mistake. My bill was actually a part of a test I had done at a hospital - they did the analysis part. The hospital staffer failed to explain to me I would be billed separately for this part. I am still unsure why the Interscope Pathology's own staffers did not respond to my initial letter. My bill was comped and I do appreciate that. I am giving them 3 stars because: 1. I wish they would have gotten back to me right way. I would have paid their bill, and everyone would have gone home happy. 2. I wish I did not have to spend my time writing letters and $40 on certified mail to preserve my credit ratings. 3. I wish I did not have to threaten a complaint to a medical board to get a response.

The team at the desk first said I didn't have an appointment, then said I wasn't in their system, then asked who I spoke with to schedule. Eventually it came to light that the person I was speaking to had scheduled the appointment, but they claimed to have scheduled it for Tuesday - a day I would not have scheduled due to the amount of appointments already scheduled prior. I could hardly find the location of the office due to the front of the building being a massive dispensary. Needless to say, after my experience I am not interested in scheduling an appointment for early next year. This was disappointing and frustrating. This was my first scheduled visit and I will be spending the time today that I was hoping to have my scheduled appointment finding a new doctor instead. Mistakes happen but the lack of professionalism was unfortunate.

I like how convenient this place is to where I live, and how easy it is to get an appointment for a…read morecovid test. However, I no longer fully trust their test results. Every time they've taken a nose or throat swab, it felt too swallow/light compared to others I've experienced. But I thought they, they're trained in this... Until now. I certifiably HAVE COVID (all symptoms present, home test was a very strong positive), and went to get a PCR to have it on medical record. Even though I tested on just the second day of infection, their test came up negative. I don't know how that is possible, and now I have to schedule yet another test somewhere else just to prove for future doctors that I have had COVID. Which again, I unquestionably do. This makes me nervous that they are passing other people as negative who are in fact positive. It's also true that sometimes they don't email you results like they should and you have to call. This can be annoying but is minor compared to the above.
