She will take time to listen to you, give you a good advise and send you to a specialist when needed. She will never try to force you into treatment or procedure even she feels it is desirable. Could it be better? Sure. You can feel the meter clicking. But that is not Dr. Tandetniks fault, but system problem. But so far it is the best PCP I have met.

I have been a patient of Dr. Tandetnik for almost three years and I'm extremely displeased…read more First of all, the office is extremely disorganized and the people who work at the front desk as well as the people who work the desk where payment is made are unhelpful, distant and at times, very rude. When making a call, I expect to be put on hold for at least 5 minutes and the receptionists never fail to sound hurried, hassled and the tone of voice that says "why the hell are you bothering me". As far as Dr. Tandetnik is concerned, I am unhappy because of her inability to listen to me and realize that I know my own body very well. Approximately 18 months ago, I had blood tests that showed differentials between my numbers and the acceptable numbers. These dealt with the thyroid and kidneys. I was told not to worry and that it really did not mean anything and that in order for me to understand I would have to know something about each of the other tests within the blood work. Dr. T put me on meds (generic) and I stayed on those meds for approximately 15 months. During that time my levels remained the same and so it was obvious that the medication was not working. I requested that she give me the brand name medication and also asked to be referred to an endocronologist for either a cat scan or MRI of the thyroid. She told me that it wasn't necessary. Meanwhile, my thyroid levels were to out of whack that I was told that for all intent and purpose, my thyroid was basically not working. I finally told her that if she did not give me the referral then I would find another doctor. I was referred to an endocronologist who put me on the brand name medication and sent me for a CT scan of the Thyroid. As it turned out, I had a node on my thyroid. I then had a biopsy and thankfully it was negative. My thyroid is now normal due to the correct medication and my new doc has scheduled me for another biopsy in six months. As if that was not enough, at the time that I had the blood tests I just spoke of, there was a differential in the kidney analysis. She said it was nothing. I insisted on seeing a nephrologist and bottom line...I have IGA Nephropathy. Had I listened to Dr. T and not acted as my own advocate, who knows what might have happened. She has been good and efficient about refilling prescriptions and follows up with phone calls when she receives a message. Where I have experienced a problem is in receiving the results of tests in an efficient manner. I most often have to call and even then it can take another week or so. In short, I would not recommend Dr. T nor would I necessarily recommend the practice though I have not seen any of the other docs.

In addition to being impressed with their diverse team of clinical and non clinical employees, the two most impactful takeaways from my experience were the emphasis on technique over technology and the importance of creating a safe learning space that esteems ALL participants, learners and staff alike. Simulation can be low tech or high tech, spanning any budget range, with the goal of realizing clinical practice and rehearsal of thought patterns of any sort before reaching a patient is good medicine. Roxanne demonstrated the e-REAL Boston projection section that displays a 180 degree video; it was buggy but likely due to excessive light interfering with the IR sensors. Aside from that system, some desktop computers, a few wireless microphones, some bedside monitors and a viewing room, this center's secret sauce is the skillful scenario design coupled with the artful debrief discussion that happens after scenarios conclude. After tackling a scenario of our own, I witnessed facilitators set the stage to both give and receive trust; they're specially trained to instill the basic assumption that "everyone participating in activities at CMS is intelligent, capable, cares about doing their best, and wants to improve." Egos went out of the window and old-fashioned shared learning experiences thrived. Bravo CMS!

The website wasn't entirely clear to me so I called and reached a helpful, pleasant, easy to understand representative in the United States. She explained the process and I received the acknowledgement promptly. However, I did not get the receipt and had to call back the next day for it. I think their systems could be automated and upgraded. The insurer applied the discount to my policy after I took the receipt to my agent. The discount was almost 3 times the minimum donation amount I made. If you have Mapfre insurance and live in Massachusetts check out this promotion.

First and foremost, it raises a ridiculous amount of money, 99% of which goes to The Jimmy Fund, a great cause that pretty much every Bostonian knows about already. The folks who run the PMC are thorough and efficient, and get the most out of everything and every cent that's donated to them. Besides that, it's a really great experience, whether you're riding or volunteering; this is the closest thing we have here to something like the Tour de France; not in that it's a competition, but that it's a traveling show that brings people across the state to roadsides, to the foot of their driveways, to their front lawns, from 6am on, to cheer on, entertain, and be entertained by thousands of riders of all speeds. Whether you're a fast rider, or just starting out, strangers on foot and on wheels will be exhorting you to climb the hill, and thanking you for doing it. Volunteers will be keeping you hydrated, fed, and pointed towards the same goal, and you'll have a good time doing it. It's not any kind of luxury vacation; you sleep in a tent or a barracks, you eat sandwiches and grilled food, and drink gatorade and beer. But with the right folks, it all tastes good. The sleep, well, you don't get a heck of a lot of that. With legs burning and a few choice profanities, you'll top the last hills out towards P-town, and roll in to deafening cheers. Drink some beers, ride the party boat. Get home, get some sleep, eat everything in sight. And mark down the sign-up date for next year.

I have never had an issue with insurance or money issues myself as was written in another review. What I have had is excellent and consistent care/support from front desk folks to all the medical professionals. From my middle 40's to now middle 50's I got hit with many health issues including cancer. I never had to fight them when I wanted to see a specialist outside the network that I had found, never had a problem getting in really quick when either my body or just 'my worry' needed it, and I felt like all the visits thorough enough in this day and age for Primary Care being overloaded everywhere. Their computer system keeps good track of all going on with me that they check up on when I come by. For example, I had been to 2 neurologists for migraines before starting to see Dr. Kohler. The specialists from major hospitals had suggested all kinds of the 'newest' headache remedies that didn't work. Dr. K. suggested a more traditional one from the multitude available and it has worked as an incredible 'relief pill' ever since sparing me suffering and time away from work. Recently my insurance has changed and I provided them my new insurance card and visited doctor for physical as well as sickness. To my surprise I received full bill from this office telling me that they are not part of my insurance network. When I asked why they did not tell me that before visiting the doctor, they said it's not their responsibility. Come on, it's not the issue with some part of the service was not covered, but they were not part of the network at all. I tried to negotiate with my insurance provider to pay that bill which was denied after few months. Then I decided to settle the bill with tri-county and requested them to give me some discount as I was paying from my pocket. They rejected my request outright and sent the bills to collection. Had they told me initially that they were not part of the network, I would have not visited their doctor at all. They knew that they were not part of the network and did not tell me before or after my first visit. They told me after all my visits were done and put me in big financial trouble. I am not going to visit this office again, but writing this for the benefit of other patients that may get into this trap.

This office, is very small, it is litterly three rooms. There is only two chairs for patients to sit, in the resception/ waiting area. As I was waiting for my appointment, I seen an older lady struggling to maneuver her her family members, large electric wheelchair, in the limited space, that was available to get out the door. Another time, I was standing wait, to make a follow-up appointment. I felt that I was, invading the patient a head of me, privacy because, we were in such tight quarters. The Office that was located on Brookline Avenue, had a proper waiting/ respection area, room for patients, in wheelchairs and sets for patients, whom are on crutches. There was also a handicap equipped bathroom. This office does not even have a bathroom. One also has to go into the hallway, of the building, to do a trial run of a new orthotics. I am very disappointed with this location.
