Ed shows up when he says he is going to show up, and he is quick to do the job. A colleague of mine was royally messed over in the 2016 flood, and her house had some poorly done repairs. I referred her to Ed, and he took the time to diagnose the problem and made a few runs back and forth to the store, then he was done and on his way. Start out this reveiw by stating my home has developed extremely slow to zero drainage in every one…read moreof my 3 bathrooms, kitchen and mother-in-law suite. Have had two other plumbers out, who had great reviews fixing exactly what I felt the problem was. 3 hours later and my bank account $785 lighter from one and 2 hours later and $440 lighter from the other, you would never have known anyone came out to even look at my plumbing. After much research, BBB, Angi, people I actually know and trust, Brad and Elizabeth at Victory Plumbing and Repair stood out for their plumbing abilities and after talking with them, their love of family. So Brad got here exactly on time, with quite an impressive trailer full of plumbing tools. Brad started off fully listening to what our problems were and started by visiting each of the bathrooms, then walked outside to find the access points to my sewer drainage system. Eventually Brad selected the entry point at my kitchen outside wall and started "rooting" through the entire drainage system within the house. After fully rooting the pipes over 90', his rooter finally hit the wall of the City manhole outside by the street. Everything should have been cleared and we should have had full flow at that point. But it was not. It appears that there is a problem with the sewer where my pipes hit the exit point into the City sewer pipes. Much to my dismay as I have had dealings with the City a few times in my 49 years living here in Baton Rouge. Brad explained to me what he feels the problem is, even wrote up an explanation to tell the City so they will come out and investigate. But of course the City is closed, Election Day. But before Brad left, he utilized a different type of rooter and again went the full 90' and also hit the manhole pipe as did the first. He was able to clean out a few small things, but again, the drainage was not flowing. So after nearly 3.5 hours of working at my house, and it's pipes, Brad had to leave as there was nothing else he could have done without the City involved. So, for all of that hard work, rooting my house not once but twice, with different types of rooters, we were charged for just the diagnostic fees, nothing for the rooter services since it appeared to be a City problem, Brad couldn't help. Not a single plumbing company that I have ever used in my 71 years of life would have been that honest and trustworthy. Brad felt bad he could not help us, and was disappointed to not have been "VICTORIUS" against the clogs. Only one thing Brad told me that I was disappointed in about Victory Plumbing....they do not do any re-modeling...only diagnostics and repair.....I was ready to sign them up for a remodeling job on the three bathrooms in my house, once the drainage had been fixed. Elizabeth, Brad's wife and Victory's Business Manager, called me this morning to give me a list of other plumbing crews that might be able to help, as they have extremely advanced diagnostic tools that would allow them to see into the pipes and locate exactly where the end of the rooters were. This is only if the City pushes back on helping where Brad feels the problem is located. Victory Plumbing is for real, they are honest and fully trustworthy and I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

I searched around and after looking at the better business reviews and Angie's decided to call Discount Plumbing Repair. I don't know about the previous reviewer, but I got an email and a text with the scheduled time and he called when he was on the way. Jermone was awesome. He gave me an estimate that was exactly the same price as the previous guy. We scheduled the replacement for an all day time and he showed up on time (he called on the way, also had a text confirmation for the timing). After he removed the old tub, he told me that I had ordered the wrong size tub. It was smaller than the previous one and needed a deck built to make up for the space. Obviously he is not a carpenter so we had to get a deck built before he could finish. I built the deck over the weekend and we rescheduled the tub install. He worked me in so I wouldn't have to wait for ever. He showed up on time and finished the install. Since he worked me in, it was about 2pm when he got there. It was a big job and it took long time to finish, but he got it done and did a great job. He didn't leave my house till close to 9pm and didn't charge me extra for my screw up which cost him time. I called them out to do a repair on the master bathroom toilet. It took them two days to figure out…read morewhat was wrong when they did they had to redo some plumbing to the septic system in the process of doing that they removed an 1 1/2 line to my aerator system. This is a rental property, so I didn't notice that it was removed for several months. It took me over a week and a half of constantly leaving messages for their office manager Todd to actually return my phone calls. Now they are denying removing the piping for my aerator when it was clearly there and working before they came and installed the new plumbing. Between the poor customer service and a technician that is clearly lying I will never use them again Yes you sent two employees out after. One gave me another estimate and the second one which I was there with him agreed that the new piping they installed was right where the piping for the Aerator was. I'm guessing someone came in the back yard and removed it and also unplugged the aerator that's been installed for the past 7 years.
