Exchange policy is inefficient. Exchanging a sales item for the exact item in another size within less than five minutes of purchasing should be allowed. Cute, trendy clothes at a good price. read more

Very disappointing and dishonest experience. I purchased a dress about 9-10 days ago as a gift and clearly told the salesperson that I was not sure about the size. I specifically asked about the return policy, and I was told I had 14 days to return it. This was also written on the receipt. At no point was I informed that this item was a final sale. The dress was never worn, still had all tags attached, was returned in the original packaging, and I had the receipt. I did not even ask for a refund I only requested a simple size exchange (from M to S). Despite this, they refused and suddenly claimed the item was final sale. If an item is final sale, that must be clearly disclosed at the time of purchase. Writing "14 days return" on the receipt while later refusing an exchange is misleading and unacceptable. This feels like deceptive business practice, and I would not trust this store again. I strongly caution others to be very careful before purchasing here. read more

I can always find something there that I like and that has a great price. The staff may not be overly helpful but they also don't tail you while you shop acting like you are going to steal something. I appreciate that read more

Someone used my stolen credit card information here. The worst part is that my credit card company said the employees were probably in on the fraud since they tried swiping my card several times despite the transactions getting rejected. At the end of the day, TWO separate transactions of nearly $200 each were allowed to go through by the employee. If a card getting declined isn't a red flag, what about buying $400 of crap fast fashion? Just ghetto. read more

Have been in here before over the past few years since they moved sides in the mall. It is the typical environment run by teen girls/young women. I have yet to see a grown up here in the store, but I could just be missing them due to timing. Came in this past Friday evening (7/21/23) with both of my girls (one teen and the other under double-digits). There were at least 4 girls running the store; two at the registers, one in the fitting room and at least another one somewhere throughout the store. We were in the store all of 20 min or so. Walked around for less than 10, then my teen found something to try on. We go to the fitting room where one of the girls with bright red-red hair was letting people in. I never leave my teen alone in the fitting room, I don't care how old she is. I waited outside her fitting room with my youngest. As I waited, a young woman came into the fitting room with clothes flung over her arm and asked the girl with the red hair something. The girl walked out and then returned in the fitting room with her boyfriend, they entered a fitting room together down toward the end. I was FUMING. I kept my cool and waited for my teen to finish trying on her two items, I could not react erratically or rash, as I was with my kids. Other women came in and out of the rooms as the time passed. When my daughter finished, and we were heading out another worker walked into the fitting room area. I walked over to the girl with the red hair and asked if they always let men into the fitting room. She nervously said no, to the other employees surprise she said "there's a man in here" and I said Yes, she let him in. The girl with the red hair acted as if she didn't know and told the other girl, "go, go tell them". I proceeded to tell the red haired girl, that she is the one who let him in and said it was ok.. that there are underage/teen girls that come into this store to shop and try on clothes, and that I didn't care if it was someone's boyfriend or someone's husband, that it was extremely dangerous and a liability. As we were waiting in line to purchase our items, one of the girls from the back walkie-talkied the girls up front and said the couple was having sex in the fitting room!! I nearly lost it!! I told the girl up front "do you even have a manager here? You need to take that up with the girl with the red hair, cuz she's the one who let him in." I asked if she could hurry up and ring us, cuz I wanted my girls out of there. I didn't want any confrontation, nor did I want the police to show up and my younger daughter be freaked out by it (that's even if they would call the police) One of the ladies in line ahead of us, took the tag from my daughter's dress we were getting, and paid for her dress so we could leave. I appreciated that she seen the urgency and it was extremely kind of her, but I was still sooo infuriated!! Still trying to locate the manager or who to contact about the situation. read more

I used to love them back when they were in the center of the mall, preferably where Torrid is now placed. It's crazy how things have changed. Obviously the clothes are made cheap but very trendy (which I love). Overall, I think service sucks. Management put a lot strains on returns/exchanges. How are dresses considered FINAL SALE? What it you need to exchange sizes? Lol I swear they do anything to make a quick buck. The new location is absolutely disgusting as they have to leave a note about "this is not a public restroom" inside their dressing rooms and it the place looks more like Burlington... read more

There were 13 minutes left until the store closed. I was going in for an item that I already knew I wanted and was literally just going to pay for. I walk in the store and immediately an employee tells me that they are closed. No "hello" no "I'm sorry but we just closed" just "we're closed" as she's leaning on a display. I get that people don't want to work and would like to go home on a Saturday but if you're going tell people you're closed when you're obviously open you're not only providing horrible customer service but now the store has lost a customer and a guaranteed purchase. A reflection of your staff if a reflection on your store, very disappointing. read more

Clothes are really cute, but absolutely cheaply made, and yet still have the nerve to charge H&M or Forever 21 prices. The employees are primarily teens with sass and ignorance. It is clear the customer service here is poor. The thing that struck me the most was the lack of cleanliness of the dressing rooms. Smells like mold, urine, and stinky feet -- the fact that it has been like that forever and is clearly okay with the manager or whatever higher ups of the company says a lot. read more

i came to the mall to grab a quick pair of pants for work and the lady at the front was rude it said the store didn't close for 10 mins and she was like no we are closed no i want everyone out by 8 so she closes the store 15 mins before actual closing time that's terrible she could of made money but instead turned a paying customer away read more

Great sales, great clothes! OH GOODNESS, I have found my new FAVORITE store! So have you ever walked into a store and been like "Boom, that's exactly what I was looking for". Then you looked at the price and your eyes got SO big because it was SO cheap?! Well... This is what happened to me the other day when walking in here! I walked in and I was looking for an outfit as ALWAYS! I seen the "Grand opening" sign and just knew they had deals! I was amazed at their selection. One piece outfits, dresses, waist belts, jewelry, jeans...you name it, they GOT it! I walked out of there with 4 outfits for $50, to me that's not bad! Customer service was amazing, the lovely lady in the dressing area must of apologized multiple times for the wait to use the dressing room and although I may have seemed irritated, I was just in a rush to try my clothes on and not keep looking at all the options I had to choose from! :) Return policy is different them what I am accustomed to so be aware. The return policy is less then 14 days with a receipt and the tags still on the clothing. I was very happy with this store and I must say, they will be seeing me again! read more

Went in to exchange some items that were a little too big for me. They have a store credit only 3 day policy, which is puzzling seeing as how other small businesses are extending their return policy due to the current COVID shelter in place policies of CA (store credit 100% understandable). Their return policy used to be 14 days, which I know because I shop there frequently. I went to the store to see if they'd give me a break since I'm only 3 days over their exchange policy and I don't live/work super close. The checker noticed that it was 3 days over their policy and said she could not do it. I told her the clothes are in perfect condition, I only wanted to exchange for a smaller size, and that I would probably buy more stuff if they could do me the courtesy. She said no exceptions. I asked to speak to a manager and she said the manager wasn't even there (even though there were clearly at least 5 employees on the floor). I let her know that they've lost my business which is a shame because they have great clothes for a good price. Horrible customer service, bad exchange period under these circumstances that we are supposed to shelter in place. Receipt attached to prove I was 3 days late on their written in exchange policy. read more

How stupid is this: my daughter rcvd Christmas money in $ 2.00 bills and they store won't accept them for purchase. There's not sign regarding the intake of any bills (like no 50 or 100 accept or $2.00 bills). And the reason they gave me was that when they have to give it as change customers don't want them. I got mad and then the sales clerk pissy cuz she said I threw the money at her which I didn't and her attitude came out as well as mine. If stores have these policies they should be posted just fluke their return policy. They make it sounds like they have to keep this money in their store for ever when they could go to the bank and exchange it or make a deposit into their business. read more

First time visiting this mall and store. First impression of the mall itself, FILTHY. The American One store has a great selection of clothing and accessories. The young teens working in the store need to re-evaluate their attitudes and sass. There was about 3 girls running around putting clothing back on the racks, the store was not busy whatsoever. I was standing by the dressing rooms for about 10 minutes waiting for a associate.. I made eye contact with 2 of the girls running around the store, neither gave me the okay to walk in or told me they would be right with me. From the looks of the signs posted everywhere in the dressing room it seems as though they don't want anyone just walking in. So I waited. After a few more minutes I had enough and went in to a open room and tried on my stuff. Once I was done trying on the clothes I could hear all 3 girls in the dressing room gossiping and fooling around. The register experience is another story. The young lady meant well but she needs to listen to the customer first before doing anything and also engaging with the customer would make a better impression. Not boasting about how she is "Key Holder" and that she could go back to "being mean" and strict to her co workers. Come on, I had to say hello to her half way through my transaction just to have a conversation with her. Upper Management please review your employees for this store they desperately need to be trained for customer service skills and interactions. read more

How can a clothing store not allow an exchange or a refund? My first time shopping here, I bought six blouses but one of them was a large size mistakenly taken instead of a small/ medium size. I took that back within 7 days with receipt but they refused an exchange, stating they don't allow exchange on clearances at all. This is so crazy because almost all of their clothes are on clearance. I will never shop here again or recommend this store to anyone. read more

Let me make it clear that I work at Old Navy and the customer service that I received at this specific store would get us a VERY BAD review at my store. The clothes being cheap is not worth the RUDE service. If you're going to hire teenagers at least train them. It pays going to a store with pricier clothes and getting better service. Didn't get a hello, did you find everything okay, nor did I get a goodbye have a nice day. No one cares about quality service anymore. read more

I don't normally bother with such a ghetto mall and here's the reason why: The thing about fashion is clothes can sell themselves but when you have employees that don't give you the help you need like suggestions, different sizes, etc that's when it fails. The girls are unfashionable and unhelpful. I don't mind if you can't speak proper English but if you don't know basic words like chiffon maybe you weren't meant to be in the retail world even if it's just temporary. The manager on duty looked unfriendly. Granted she may have had resting bitch face which is probably why all the employees shared the same unfriendly attitude. read more

All the clothes are so cute I love it!! I would definitely come back here if I had the money so I could buy the whole store lol. The employees are really nice and it's an overall great store that many don't really know about so I guess that's a good thing read more

I received top customer service from these ladies and the owner. I had a wonderful experience and the clothes are very trendy. I was in route to Forever21 when I stumbled into this place and never made it there! Lol I got a bunch of cute pants for $10 and dresses, shirts, bodysuits, and jewelry.$114 well fashionably spent! Their clothes provide the absolute confidence and show stopping power. These other reviews definitely sound like jealousy. As far as quality, all large retailers shop the same vendors. @healtheebae read more

This store customer service is the worst. Girls standing around the register or talking. The manager is never around every time I came in the store requesting to see a manager management always be gone by 2 o'clock . I asked for the corporate office they said they cannot give me any details other than called the manager the customer service here sucks will not spend my money anymore in the store. The store is huge. I come here for my going out attire. I usually buy a dress or two piece skirt set from here. The price is nice too. The clothes are pretty much like fashion nova. They have nice regular body suits, crop tops, like basic clothes. I don't like their selection of jeans, shirts or sweats though. The jewelry is pretty cheap too so not good accessories. I really just buy dresses from here. Day dress, club attire that type of clothes. read more

This store has some great items, but one thing I can't get over is their attitude every time I go in there they ignore me in the fitting room. Yesterday the employees kept talking to one another. I have never been one to do this, but, I have also never been more disappointed in a store's employees as I am at American One's. When we walked in, there were two girls being very open about their personal romantic relationship with one another (Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against same sex relationships or anything), but there is a time and place for everything and WORK is neither. I would highly recommend management to separate those two employee's shifts so that that doesn't continue to happen. They didn't even greet us on our way in ! I walked in to look at the rest of the store with my boyfriend and we were just browsing. I went to try some stuff on, and from what I was able to hear, there was a female employee blatantly flirting with my boyfriend! You would think that they would have some respect and not do something like that. I wouldn't ever shop here again. Even-though, they do have some cute stuff like an Obama bag and suitcase. Save yourself the hassle and order things from this store online if that's even an option. read more

I wanna start off by saying this place is overly expensive. Their material is cheap and it is extremely bad. This place is like a bad knock off of forever 21 except forever 21 actually has good material and their price is reasonable. #1: the attitude is unacceptable, I went to the changing room to try on my item and this one employee gave me the bitchiest face ever. She just pointed down the rows of changing and that was all. No absolute communication whatsoever. #2: the price is out of the world. I bought a white t-shirt for $30 and I was shocked but in a rush I bought it anyways. Your price is unreasonable. #3: the material is very cheap. The shirt I bought right after I had washed it, literally, turned into the material of paper. It was hard and it was ugly. So if you're wondering whether or not you should shop at this place, DON'T! It's not good read more

Considering that the employees at the Antioch location (no yelp page yet but owned by same tool, David Chung totally rude and off the mark will get to that later) told me that we were informed of their lack luster return policy. Which is not marked clearly an covered up by the random junk on their counter and by junk I mean the what they sell. Well they said I was told because the owner was who rung up my husband and daughter who have both confirmed that a woman rang them up. Even the owner admitted to leaving himself logged on the registers. Then the staff including the manager on site said that all they could give us is store credit and that it DOES NOT EXPIRE well you read the receipt and it says 30 DAYS TO USE OR IT EXPIRES well I give the manager a call and he then tells me that they all were not trained right and it is a training issue that the whole store is not trained right and he will work on them with it. I ask how does that help me? He says basically it is not his problem and that there is no way that they can help me. Dude is shady to say the least seems to be making it up as he goes. And all this is because they were selling leggings that were advertised as PANTS 3 for $10. My 11 year old daughter and husband do not have a clue on the difference between the two. SHADY SHADY STORE yep MR. Chung I am fulfilling my promise to tell about your lack luster shady dealings all over the internet. FYI AMERICAN ONE this is the law I can read unlike you all: The policy must be displayed either at each entrance to the store, at each cash register and sales counter, on tags attached to each item, or on the company's order forms, if any. A return policy printed only on a receipt, for example, is not sufficient. If a store violates this law (California Civil Code section 1723), the purchaser can return an item for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. There are exceptions, however to the general rule requiring notice. Notices are not required for sale of perishable goods like food or plants; for items marked, "All sales final," or something similar; for items which are used or damaged; for items customized for the consumer and received as ordered; for items which cannot be resold for health reasons; or for items not returned in their original packaging. Some stores keep records of consumers who frequently return merchandise and sometimes report that to a central reporting company and may not offer returns or refunds to such customers. The return policy notice must refer to such practice. Consumers who believe a retailer has violated the law can notify the consumer protection division of their local district attorney's office or by filing a complaint with the Attorney General's Office. read more
