I used this company through AAA last month. To start off, they were extremely quick. Shortly after requesting assistance with AAA, they called me and confirmed what I needed and they arrived within 5-10 minutes from that. The guy that showed up was very nice. These two things are what is mostly carrying the 3 stars they got. Ultimately they weren't able to get me into my car. While I'll admit my situation was a bit different than the "normal" customer, I'm still a bit disappointed they weren't able to get me into my vehicle. My car is a early 2000s BMW that has had most of the interior removed (unfortunately including the unlock button in the center console). My battery had died and I discovered that the lock cylinder wasn't functional, so I wasn't able to unlock the door with the key. The guy that came out tried the door handle with his hook through the window, but wasn't able to get it. He was apologetic, but in the end wasn't able to get me in to my vehicle. I ended up buying a cheap extended hook and door air wedge off of Amazon and was able to pull the hood release lever, connect jumper cables to the battery terminals and unlock the door with the key fob. read more

Terrible quality. They will rip you off. Back on November my house was broken into so I needed to immediately get my locks changed. I payed $320. I knew that was too much but I needed it in a hurry. Not even 3 months later the handle won't move. They must have used cheap materials because I have never heard of this happening. I went through about 30 phone calls trying to reach them (getting hung up on) and they tell me they can send someone out for $40. This is not how to run a business. Hopefully the next person has time to research and can find a much better locksmith. read more

Made an appointment on the 18th for the 27th. Locksmith did not show. Administrator had forgotten to note the appointment. No matter, they quickly rescheduled for the next day. Next day, Locksmith called ahead to say he was running late. Upon arrival, he was courteous and the service was for a fair price. Service was fast and without any issues. If I may offer a slight suggestion.....I would ask managers to remind their locksmiths about being more aware of their surroundings during these modern times. Saying "Ah, you're playing breadwinner today." to a woman as she is writing the check is rather bad form. I had to smiled at the irony of the situation. I happen to be the breadwinner and there I was writing out a check in the kitchen barefooted. I'm a reasonable and fair person and only demoted a star for the scheduling mishap and not for being old fashion. It's a new world and the rules are constantly changing on us. Overall locksmith was polite and made sure I was pleased with the completed work before calling it a day. read more

New to the area. We found ourselves locked out of the house no less on a Friday afternoon and Bruce from American Locksmith Service came to our recuse as soon as he could. He got us back in the house and also help saved us some money because American Locksmith Service was also AAA approved. We were please with the service that we called them to come quote us on service on locksmith services for the entire house. We were pleased with the recommendations that Bruce gave us for replacing all the lock just like we wanted. When we were ready we called and got a appointment. Bruce and his team are awesome. I just called to have a cash drawer unlocked. Told me 30 minutes the guy would get there. I don't get a call till 30 minutes later explaining that if they come out it will be a $19.99 fee just to look at it. Plus whatever labor fees... But what really gets me... Is when he told me there is a possibility that they would have to drill open the drawer which I know that a true locksmith would never use a drill to open any lock. No they get a 1 star for scamming people. They aren't real lock smiths! read more

I had a horrible experience with them through AAA. I thought I had lost my keys and needed replacement. First off, the serviceman arrived in a bad mood and didn't introduce himself or explain what he was going to do. After 3 hours, he still could not program the key to start my car. They offered to come back the next day, but I explained I was going to look at other options. I went back inside and searched for my keys again. I managed to find them but, now my keys won't start my car. I tried contacting American Locksmith Service again, but got no response back. I ended up having my car towed to a shop with a completely erased Engine Control Module. I missed a day of work and had to get a rental car. The shop even stated he was close to blowing my fuse module, which would've been a $2,000 fix. I am currently pursuing a claim with AAA. Let's just say they should be glad it wasn't the fuse module. read more

Horrible company! Do not trust!!!! They told us it would be $19.00 to come out, and $29.00 for the first hour, and we were charged $130.00 for what took 30 seconds for them to do, unlock our door. They definitely took advantage of our situation. read more

Called due to a mishap with the movers, they packed the car keys. They didn't have the right key but they express ordered it and had the next day. Took Bruce about half an hour to make the key. The local ford dealership swore up and down no one could do it. He made the key for cheaper then what a ford dealership would charge. Awesome service. read more
