As a disabled veteran and a American Legion member. I always enjoyed my Post 138 family in Tempe, AZ. Recently, I had to take a business trip and visited this post 275. I brought my Father and brother on a Friday night and everyone had a great time and meet a lot of nice fellow veterans, SALs and family. I've been to quite a few posts in my time, but this one really takes the cake. As with most American Legion posts, this is a smoking establishment, and for me it's one of the many perks because I can puff a stogie without folks looking at me sideways. That being said though, the air quality is impressive. I counted 5 massive air filters hanging from the ceiling, and they were working overtime. But if the smoke is still too much for those with allergies, there is a large oak-shaded deck outside with a view of the trail, and since the post location is only a block away from the Gulf of Mexico, there is always a breeze. But if that wasn't good enough, how about $1 domestic drafts? Any time, any day. Pure insanity. How about Sunday breakfasts? A game called Show Me the Money every final Saturday? $3 burgers on burger days? PCs set up so Vets can hop on the internet or play slot games? Yes, sign me up please! Note that there is NO MORE INDOOR SMOKING HERE! Members voted, and they voted the right way, nice job! I visited here from out of state, with friends who are members. The place looks like a cool seafood restaurant, and it sits beside the bike trail. Never saw anything like it. Great prices on beers and wine and lots of fun activities inside to pass the time. I did not eat here. If you want to smoke, you can sit outside, but you would not want to blow smoke on a sweet little doggie would you? Yes, one of the giant umbrellas is a parachute! read more

This is where the family meets!! Very active and friendly post. Sunday morning breakfast open to the public only $5. Members and their guests can enjoy dinner most week nights for less than $10. Live music and dancing on Friday nights. Smoke free inside. Beautiful deck. People are extremly friendly. Many events that support the military, veterans and their families. read more

A welcoming atmosphere, created for veterans, but everyone who goes there will be included in the fun. The bartenders are diligent servers with a lot of patience for slow responders (ie. old guys like me ). You will have the resources to tip them well because of the very reasonable prices on the refreshments. read more

I personally can't say anything about smoking because I am a smoker so of course I wasn't bothered by it yes they could have put a couple more Smoke Eaters in that would have resolved a lot of problems for non-smokers. I would take my daughter Kelly in a wheelchair people were always friendly and made sure I got Kelly to a table without feeling we were putting anyone out of the way. Very friendly atmosphere and friendly people. It's extremely busy so without a doubt I have to give the bartenders a definite five star for there adequate timely manner in ordering a cocktail with a smile on their face. Due to some medical issues is the only reason we have not been in and the only reason I did not give it a five-star because of no smoking inside now. The post was having lasagna night my Uncle Carmen is the assistant Director there so he was working tonight and my uncle joe invited us down to join him with two of his friends. I'm thinking I'm Italian and very picky about Italian food especially lasagna. I only truly like mine the best. But I wanted to spend some time with them. That's one of the main reasons I moved back to Tampa from Virginia. To spend time with my family. It cost $7.00 per person you get a large slice of lasagna, salad garlic bread and dessert. And of course it's a dollar for draft beer. When I took my first bite of the lasagna. Wow! My taste buds were dancing. It was absolutely delicious. I was totally surprised. It was just as good as mine if not better. I ate mine and half my wife's. I was hungry and it was delicious. We enjoyed our meal and seeing my two uncles. The band playing was called double trouble. They sounded pretty good. It was an great evening. read more

Ok, so my Mom and Dad took me to this place this morning. I had no idea what to expect. Pleasantly I was surprised by a nice breakfast for an amazing price. Apparently on the weekend this American Legion Post serves breakfast. When you walk in the door there is someone sitting at a table taking your order, your choices are very limited so this works well. So today I ordered scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon, toast, and tater tots. The serving size is decent you get one piece of toast maybe 7-8 tater tots, 3 small pancakes, 2-3 pieces of bacon and 2-3 scrambled eggs. This all fits on one paper plate. With it you get a cup of syrup and some butter. Get ready for the price $5!!!!! Say what. But it get better. A drink such as a bloody mary. Are you ready for this? $1 Crazy right! Look if you are in Dunedin or riding your bike on the trail before 11 o'clock and want some decent breakfast for a killer price. Get to this place. You wont have a choice in what you eat but who cares for these prices. This place gets 4 stars because of the price and nothing being wrong with the food. read more

Took a bunch of guys over. They had a live band. Place is right on the scenic Pinellas Trail. Service and food outstanding. This is one of the cleanest best run Posts I have ever seen. read more

This is probably the best private club I've ever been in. They have an amazing outside deck that overlooks the Pinellas Trail. The inside is clean and smoke free. Drink prices are amazing. Love the bands that they hire on Friday nights. Great for dancing. I am so glad I joined. read more

Prices are great and service is excellent but my occasional visits are always brief due to the overwhelming stench of cigarette and cigar smoke. If not for that, it would be an excellent place but breathing is more important than cheap beer. read more

Dunedin is full of hidden treasures and this American Legion Post 275 stands alone not just amongst American Legion Posts across the nation but All 'for profit' pubs in the Tampa Bay Area AND it's a non profit American Legion that supports veterans!! Friendly staff, amazingly cordial 'boss' of the joint Sid introduced himself to myself and group who stopped by. We happened to come on a Wednesday 'Wing-Ding' night and were blown away by the wings, music and then interactive trivia game!! What a Blast!! I found out how involved they are in the community as well with support to veterans struggling with PTSD along with numerous Veteran advocacy groups locally including the local High School Rotc.. I don't know where you send your money annually for your $30-40 legion membership but I'm making this place my home post until I wake up on the other side of the grass - even if I find myself living out of state!! read more
