I feel like it's an unofficial dog park, since a lot of people come here just to let their dogs run around and play with other dogs. Great place to come walk, run, or cycle. Not much traffic coming through which is a plus. Sometimes I come out here to walk in the evenings. It feels relatively safe for walking alone (especially if you're a woman). There's also a basketball court and a playground. Would be nice if there was some bathrooms though!

I've tried doggie parks where they were filthy with poo, irresponsible owners, and aggressive dogs. This park exceeded my expectations. The small dog area was separated from the large dog area, and it was secure. It was extremely clean as well! No dog poop!! The doggie owners were also very responsible, which was such a tremendous relief! Everyone stood around observing all of the play time, and ensured that things didn't get too out of hand. Another relief is that none of the dogs were aggressive. And yes, there are some small dogs that have aggressive behavior. Not the case here. All of the pups got along so well! In all, this is an amazing dog park and I plan to bring my girls here on a regular basis.

The owner brought the same exact dog back to the park today unmuzzled, and it aggressively went after and bit my dog multiple times. What frustrates me the most is the complete lack of preventive action. If a dog has a proven history of biting other animals, letting it roam a public off-leash area without a muzzle is completely reckless. The owner didn't take any steps to prevent a repeat incident after the first attack, putting every other dog and person in that yard at risk. If you see two St.Bernards whose owner can't manage it, do yourself a favor and turn right back around.

Tucked in this residential area, Phillip Bauer Park welcomes community members with its humble space perfect for picnics, small gatherings, and outdoor playtime for children. Equipped with a small grassy field that seems well maintained, you'll find ample space to layout a picnic blanket or play a small game of catch or lawn sports. The playground has a few amenities including slides, climbing structures, and a bridge. The flooring is padded so no tan bark or sand to worry about. There isn't much shade here as the trees are closer to the perimeter of the park and parking is just along the curb near homes. If you plan to host any party here, you may want to consider coming early to book a spot. Although, in my experience, the park is pretty quiet and seldomly visited. The park is fenced in from all sides except the entrance so it does feel pretty secluded. Overall, this park is a great place to take a break from your busy schedule and relax knowing your children can play safely. This was a great find and hopefully you'll get a chance to visit as well!
