I know they are in a perpetual fundraising cycle to improve the post but I'm sure that's most of the clubs. We have been a handful of times , mostly for Sunday breakfasts. It's reasonable prices and the food is ok. I've never had an issue with rude people or anything and I have never met the post commander. I've spoken to him on the phone a few times and he seems decent enough. If you qualify for membership, it's a nice outdoor venue for a party. We are having my daughter's graduation party and it's not over the top expensive to use for a few hours. We played bingo there yesterday and it was cheap enough. I've never been to a bingo hall and the last time I played bingo was almost 20 years ago at a church in Massachusetts. We are actually looking to be more visible at the place so I think I will be going quite a bit in the near future.

I ate different meals there - Saturday breakfast buffet, Weds burger night, and Friday Riders Steak, etc meal. All were restaurant quality in my opinion (okay, we don't eat out much at fancy restaurants) , -- as the cooks with their volunteer helpers all took pride in what they were doing. The great thing is it wasn't just a bunch of "old guys" like some of the other Posts, but it seems like they are getting a good amount of younger Veterans to balance out the place. Plus, I really liked their long list of volunteer / charity work. So I joined.

Overall, I always appreciate the lively atmosphere that Nicole creates where you can be focused but still relaxed. And I always leave the class feeling grateful for the delightful experience she facilitates.

Having experienced the other American Legion posts in the area over the years, I can easily say that the Members at this Post really live & understand the meaning of the words American Legion Family and run their Post according to the highest ideals of the Legion. They have a very informative website at www.Legion209.org with a large, active and just genuinely nice membership that makes you feel welcome and really appreciates your involvement & support. Always something wonderful going on at this post. Different members all working together with no one group thinking it's more important than the other. The best part is sitting down with those vets male and female who served our country and lived history, and no you dont have to be a member or vet to partake its open to the public. That said, I joined as a member but really haven't used any of their resources as they don't really pertain to me, or I can get the service through the local VA hospital. The demographic of the place is graying very quickly, and I fear that like most of the Veteran run organizations like it will die out within 30 or so years. The biggest problem with these places is that they end up being glorified drinking holes for older people who end up alcoholics, and destroy their livers in the process. Too, being a Vet, I don't always want to hear the stories of the past glories told over and over again. I got out, and though share a kinship with other service members; don't feel a real connection to sitting in places like this. This location in particular really needs to be modernized, or possibly adding a restaurant that serves healthier options for older vets with special diets (low sodium et cetera). It is rich in history, but there isn't a defining book or area designated to telling the stories of those who built the organization, let alone what they do for the community.

The decor is giving circus chic, the vibes are immaculate, and whether you're dressed to impress or in your comfies, you'll fit right in. The menu is easy to navigate, the munchies hit exactly how they should, and somehow "we'll stay for an hour" turned into several. My only complaint? That there isn't one closer to me. The welcome was aces! We were warmly greeted, shown exactly where to go, and immediately made to feel comfortable. They have this rare ability to make you feel like you're walking into something exclusive without feeling pretentious or intimidating. Before we even made it to the bar, people were introducing themselves and making us feel welcome. I mentioned that I'd seen one of the team members being super fabulous on Instagram, and we had some fun conversation. Every interaction felt real. We tried one of the vapor bags, and it lived up to the hype! The infused drinks were SO GOOD, especially the grape infusion. The food was awesome. We had the bagel bites, burrata, and sliders. Everything was rich, a bit salty, and exactly what you want after a vapor bag. You know. The space is wild. Super chill. Cirrus feels like what would happen if a luxury airline lounge, a Tom Ford campaign, and a cannabis social club had a baby. Crystal chandeliers, oversized floral prints, dramatic drapery, fireplaces, and a grand piano create a space that feels more like a series of carefully curated scenes than a lounge on Colfax. It's glamorous without being stuffy, theatrical without being pretentious, and juuust weird enough to keep it interesting. And the DJ!!!!! HUGE shout out because their playlist was FIRE and set the entire mood! Also, see the bathrooms... All four of them! It feels like if you gave Tom Ford a blunt and told him to design a social club. What really makes Cirrus special, though, is the people. Every single person we met was kind, welcoming, chill, and genuinely happy to be there. It made us want to be there. Living in Colorado, you can stop at a dispensary and sit on your couch at home or go to a park any day of the week. What you can't recreate is this experience. The hospitality, the atmosphere, the sense of community, the feeling that you're somewhere unique. They've created something really special here. Check it out!
