This is a decent enough organization, and they provide funeral details for veterans that have passed. That said, I joined as a member but really haven't used any of their resources as they don't really pertain to me, or I can get the service through the local VA hospital. The demographic of the place is graying very quickly, and I fear that like most of the Veteran run organizations like it will die out within 30 or so years. The biggest problem with these places is that they end up being glorified drinking holes for older people who end up alcoholics, and destroy their livers in the process. Too, being a Vet, I don't always want to hear the stories of the past glories told over and over again. I got out, and though share a kinship with other service members; don't feel a real connection to sitting in places like this. This location in particular really needs to be modernized, or possibly adding a restaurant that serves healthier options for older vets with special diets (low sodium et cetera). It is rich in history, but there isn't a defining book or area designated to telling the stories of those who built the organization, let alone what they do for the community. read more

Best priced drinks in town. Friday night dinners are really good followed by Karaoke on some Friday evenings. The have lunches during the week but I haven't had them yet. Love Tuesday nights for Queen of Hearts and then bar games. read more
