The laser they used was the Active FX and I had terrific results. I'm now ready to have another one and Advanced Skin Care refered me to Deseret. I noticed their monthly special for August is $999 for the CO2 procedure. I went in, asked questions, and booked a consultation. So far so good. I'll Had procedure today. All went well. Was home by 12:30 pm. Slept until 5:30. Cold wash cloth out of frig to ease the bit of heat. White vinegar cold compress after and slathered back up with Aquaphor. I'm off to a great start!!!

Because of that, I ended up with a stupid amount of Groupon bucks (about $70) that I've been slow to use because...if you haven't been paying attention, these daily deal sites all suck-diddly-uck lately. How many car washes or maid services can they offer?! Anyway, I moved out to the Valley and I'm undergoing a whole lot of life changes. One of my recent goals is to to once and for all get in great shape and STAY THERE, rather than bounce up and down in my well-being. Enter: $49 for a detoxing body wrap (a $175 value!)...on top of my remaining $35 Groupbucks, this set me back $14. I knew I had to carpe the diem with this opportunity, lest I be resigned to grabbing bargains for ghost town hay rides, pool filter cleanings or whatever else "sweet deal" came my way. (I really hate Groupon lately, in case you couldn't tell.) I arrived a little before my appointment time today and filled out the necessary paperwork and personal health history. I was quickly introduced to Angie, the reigning body wrap queen. She was super friendly, explained every step of my mummification (it's SUCH a weird process) and really didn't try to upsell anything to me. In fact, she made it a point to say she likes her clients to go home and notice the effects and changes the wraps have on their bodies before committing to a package. I'm already loving the inches I lost (and apparently it gets only better over the first night) and am totally recommitted to living the healthy life once and for all. Can I afford this treatment every month? Well, no. (Although i am REALLY considering a certain package deal I was told about...we'll see) but if you get a chance to try out this service just once, definitely go to Deseret and definitely see Angie.

At my first visit, the provider told me the deal I purchased wouldn't give results I wanted, then convinced me to try a different device instead. I trusted her judgment, only to realize later it was a sneaky sales tactic. She treated only half of the treatment area during my first visit and scheduled the second session a few days later. Then, the day before my second appointment, I was sent an invoice--three times the original cost of Groupon deal for two sessions--in advance and without any prior discussion or my agreement whatsoever. When I asked for clarification via text, I received vague, evasive responses claiming it was already a good, discounted deal for me. Invoicing your client in advance for a followup treatment is a major red flag. This provider hides manipulative upselling behind a quirky, scattered persona, but it's all about money--not results, client trust, or safety. Her treatment prices are also heavily inflated. Worse, the first treatment left me with zero results and a permanent nerve damage at treated area--likely due to her manually overriding the device's pre settings and gliding probe too slow. A painful and permanent reminder on daily basis that I have now to live with. This provider is Using Groupon to lure in new clients only to pressure them into more expensive procedures without their consent is unethical and dangerous. If you don't want to be botched by this provider, you care about your skin, your health, and your wallet, then stay far away from this place. There are plenty of ethical, honest, hardworking, qualified and reasonably priced medspa providers out there. This is not one of them.

We both got Botox (Xeomin, to be exact) and were taking advantage of one of their sales/Groupon offers. I've been getting neurotoxin for a while now and regularly go to med spas, so when I saw the pricing, I was definitely thinking it might be too good to be true. It wasn't. The nurse who did my injections was extremely knowledgeable. She took the time to explain things in detail and actually corrected some assumptions I had based on past treatments. At first I was unsure, but when I went home and looked everything up, she was absolutely right. It honestly made me realize that in the past I may have been given unnecessary units not out of malice, but lack of expertise. What I appreciated most is that she did not over-unit me or push extra product "just because." She was very intentional with placement and dosing. I had my treatment done in mid-November, and it's now January my face is still frozen with minimal movement, which speaks for itself when it comes to product quality and technique. The appointment itself was super quick and efficient, which I actually loved. This isn't a place with a million services it's more of an in-and-out, no-nonsense spot if you know what you want and want it done well. Perfect for a quick refresh without a long, drawn-out appointment. My cousin also had a great experience, and we both left really happy. They also offer Klarna, which is convenient (and honestly a little dangerous in the best way). Overall, I was pleasantly surprised in the best way. Affordable, efficient, and genuinely knowledgeable care. I'd absolutely go back and would recommend them if you're looking for neurotoxin without the upsell or fluff.

Unfortunately, my experience didn't match the environment. When I sat down for my appointment, there was already someone else's hair left on the treatment chair. For a business positioning itself as a luxury experience, details like cleanliness matter. This was my first Botox appointment, so I was hoping to leave feeling informed and confident. Instead, I felt like I was being talked out of the service I booked and encouraged toward additional treatments and future appointments. The consultation moved so quickly that it felt more like a sales conversation than an educational one. My injector also had to Google several questions during the appointment, which wasn't very reassuring as a first-time patient. Appearance isn't everything, but when a brand markets itself as luxury, consistency matters. Maria absolutely fit that experience--professional, polished, and welcoming. My injector, however, didn't reflect the same level of presentation or attention to detail, which made the experience feel inconsistent. After my injections, I also had to wait for another technician to finish with a different client before I could be checked out. It made the visit feel disorganized and left me sitting around after what was otherwise a very quick treatment. As I was leaving, I overheard another front desk employee rapidly listing promotions and packages to another first-time client. Combined with my own consultation, it gave me the impression that the focus was more on upselling than creating a comfortable experience. One final frustration: the appointment emails don't provide a clear email address if you need to contact the office or cancel, which made communication unnecessarily difficult. The injections themselves were quick, and I don't have any complaints about the actual treatment. My concerns are entirely about the overall experience. The space looks luxurious, but the service didn't consistently feel that way. For me, I'll continue going to Alani Skin MD nearby. I've always felt genuinely cared for there, and the experience is much more in line with the luxury atmosphere SEV is trying to create.
