I have family that have been coming here for the past 30 years and I had the chance to enjoy it last month :P AND IT IS GOOD! We ordered the cold American roast beef and hot American pastrami w/ cheese. I unfortunately forgot to photograph them. But I'll be sure to upload pics of the food the next time I go. Half of their dining tables are available which is good and the owner is friendly and nice- he even recognized my family when we arrived; he has great memory!

This humble deli serves what at this point I have determined to be the best in the city, and at a wonderfully low price point (around $5 on my last visit a few months back. The sandwich is compact tight and just the perfect amount of filling, leaving you satisfied and satiated enough to start your day but not so stuffed that you're already ready for a nap. Grab one to go and eat it on the run or, should you have some time to kill and the weather is pleasant take the short walk though the lovely brownstone blessed neighborhood to the nearby leafy and serene Van Vorst park and soak up the atmosphere while enjoying the salty goodness.

The one with pesto, chicken cutlet, and tomato packed a ton of sharp garlic flavor in every bite, while the basic chicken parm with cheese was also delicious. Sandwiches are gargantuan--one easily feeds two hungry people. I would recommend going there if you have transportation (I did not) because they arrived a bit cold and very late on UberEats (but I don't fault the restaurant for any of that).

I ordered their Cold Sandwich #4 via Grubhub and I appreciate that their prices are the same as their website. The chicken cutlet is nicely seasoned and has a good thickness. It does get slightly overtaken by the mozzarella simply because of the size of it. The seeded semolina was soft, slightly chewy, but mostly fresh. I absolutely loved the chipotle mayo and cold crispness of the lettuce and fresh tomato that brightened each bite. I know this is a cold sandwich but I would honestly prefer it if the chicken cutlet and semolina bread was warm. They had other sandwiches that caught my eye, so I'll just have to go back soon. Good try!

I dragged myself inside, ordered the roast beef sandwich, and upon my first bite, determined that I must have died and found myself in heaven. This is the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. If you been rocking since 1919, mi amor, I **have** to come see what's going on. That alone made me wanna pull up And let me tell you... I walked from Jersey City Heights down to downtown -- not a bad walk at all, un chin de cardio before breakfast . Real "treat yourself, mi amor" type of morning. Soon as I walked in... BABYYYY I felt like I got teleported straight into a little Italian market Shelves full of Italian goodies -- pastas, oils, snacks... I was like *yo quiero todo esto* It was giving *ciao bella, benvenuti, mangia mangia* vibes all day. The staff? Súper nice. No attitude, no rush -- just good energy. I told them it was my first time and asked what they're known for, and they really put me on No gatekeeping over here. My husband got the #7 (on a roll) I got the #8 (on a bagel) We sat outside and did what married people do... switched sandwiches halfway Now listen... mine was good -- turkey, egg, pesto... she was cute, she had flavor, estaba bien ‍ BUT HIS?! Ese sándwich estaba otro nivel. I don't know if it was the roasted peppers or what but *Dios mío*... delicioso, chef's kiss Only thing? Next time I'm switching my bagel for a roll porque ese pan estaba hitting different. The roll? Soft, fresh, perfecto. Also... let me tell you about the BACK They got frozen pastas, little Napoli-style dishes, a whole meat section that looked crazy fresh, and you can order cold sandwiches too. Esto no es solo un deli -- it's a whole Italian experience, okurrr. And yes... it's a *little* pricey, no te voy a mentir. Pero honestly? You get what you pay for. Calidad, sabor, vibes -- todo está ahí. I skipped the coffee porque estoy tratando de behave con el budget but next time? And I'm coming back for that banana pudding porque I'm obsessed no shame. They got a little patio if you wanna sit, or you can take your food to the park and have a whole picnic moment. Real main character energy. Ponte linda, grab your sandwich, and just vibe out. Overall? 5 stars Good food, good vibes, buena gente. CARGIANO'S said "treat yourself" y yo dije... say less

They're twins, one's always got this huge smile, the other is a little more low key, but both are genuinely good guys who treat people right. They've got a little bit of everything. Maybe not every single item under the sun, but all the essentials are there. Produce, snacks, chips, salsa, rice, taco kits, all the random things you realize you need at the last second. It's just easy. Hours are what they are, but honestly, these guys show up for the neighborhood and that's what matters. Friendly, reliable, and just solid people. I love Puchu's and I'm really glad they're around.

The meat is so tender and juicy that it makes up for the fact that it's a pretty simple sandwich. I love it! 8pm on a Saturday night and there's a line down the block. But it moves fast. Once you get inside you choose one of 9 lines to get into. DON'T LOSE YOUR BLUE TICKET or you'll be fined extra dollars. Each line has a meat cutter at it. That's 9 guys cutting meats making sandwiches. If you want side dishes like fries, as well as beverages, then after you receive your sandwich at the counter, get out of there and move to the far left to the line NEXT TO Cutter #9. That's where you order your remaining items. Unfortunately the fries are precooked and cold. Bring your tray of food to any table. You WILL have to sit with others. The other option is to specify the moment you enter the building that you want to wait for a table in the back seating area where there's full service with your own server taking care of you. But then you miss the experience of the Cutter making your sandwich! At the end of your meal you either pay cash at the front of the store, or pay credit card at the back of the store.

They should have the pastrami option for the Reuben on Uber Eats! I was glad to skip the line, which was maybe 25 people or more! The sandwich was excellent when I ate it in front of my TV while watching Netflix. The sandwich makers do give you a sample of whatever meat you choose, so you don't get the full experience. But if you're short on time and have been there a few times, order online. The ambience here is crowded and I didn't want to eat there!
