Great pizza all around. Fresh ingredients, tasteful crust an good customer service. A longer wait time than expected, but worth it. Recommended! read more

well this was a sh*tshow. we get there, wait 15 minutes and get seated. Not bad at all, especially for Sunday night. We get seated, order drinks, get the drinks, and other food. then... the waiting game begins. I wanted a pizza, but come to find out they were out of gluten free bread, and i'm gluten-intolerant. pretty disappointing when we chose this place based off the fact that they had GF options, but it's fine. I ordered a salad; my family ordered pizzas. My salad came out about 30 minutes after we ordered. I decided to wait for my family to get their food. The clock ticked on... 50 minutes later, their pizzas come out. Are you kidding? Now, I understand being short-staffed, but if it's seriously going to take 1.5 hours to get food out to your customers, you've got a problem. You need to do takeout OR dine in. NOT both. my advice: don't go to american flatbread on a sunday night, but if you do, bring snacks and board games for the wait. read more

Delicious. This flatbread is more like a pizza/flatbread combo - super thin but has a notable crust. The potato pizza was very intriguing but delicious. The pepperoni pepper was phenomenal. Cool spot with a fun outdoor space. Good for families. Overall cool spot worth the stop. read more

Delicious flatbread pizzas. Omg. We were starving after swimming and playing all day and feasted on our pizzas! Loved every bite. Chewy crust, crisp edges. Sauce - spectacular. Sprinkled red pepper flakes on mine. I'm in heaven. read more

Stopped here on a whim for lunch while on the road and glad we did, great atmosphere, Buffalo flatbread and Punctuated Equilibrium (with olives and goat cheese) were delicious. Chicken salad also very good. Had a refreshing hard Blueberry Lemonade that was worth the $14. Wait staff very friendly and attentive. read more

We stopped by on a Tuesday night when we found most restaurants in the area were closed that day. What a gem! Great pizza, and drinks worth every penny! Highly recommend. I see comments here about wait times. Guess we were lucky we arrived at 5:45 pm. Well just know if you have to wait it's worth it. Also waitress was excellent! read more

We are visiting here from Philadelphia and have stopped here twice on our stay. Flatbread are so fresh and the crust is just right. Blueberry Cosmos not bad either. Nice staff, very upbeat. Must go. Thanks for letting us take your photo while you threw up the dough, fun. read more

Wow. I'm so sad. The last 3 times I have taken out pizza has been a total disappointment. Crust is chewy, thin and soggy. The sauce flavorless, cheese bland...where are the herbs? I paid for extra pepper, onions and mushrooms. I counted 8 tiny pieces of pepper, barely any onion. Everything was thrown in the middle so you ate more end crust than not. I ordered a pie for a friend to return a favor and I'm a bit embarrassed. What happened? You used to be so good. $48.00 for 2 very sad nothing special pizzas. Three strikes you're out! read more

Fantastic wood-fired oven pizza. Great drinks. Should be 5 stars! Instead of rating down because of a wait time, rate yourself down for going at the busiest time! read more

The pizza I ordered (Pepperoni and Mushroom) was fantastic! The toppings were fresh and the taste was delicious. My only compliant - I called ahead and they said 25-30 minutes. I showed up a half hour after I called, went to the window and checked on my order. They said another 20-30 minutes. It was an hour in total. Yes they were swamped at the time, but for your customers, please let them know the true time for their pizza. Waiting around for a half hour while my wife was wondering how come it was taking so long was not fun, especially in that heat. Otherwise, I'd give the place 5 stars. read more

Our waitress was amazing so friendly and helpful salad was fresh and delicious and we got several pizzas to share pepperoni and peppers,Buffalo chicken, potato and chive with bacon and pepperoni all cooked perfectly and so tasty!!!!!!! read more

Takeout. We had been to a flatbread in Burlington. So, when pizza night came around we were confident with this choice. Got a few pies to go: a veggie concoction for the lady and the sausage pie for me, add sauce to both. Seems they missed the memo on that last part as sauce was scant and the pies were dry without it. You'd think that when you pay to add sauce you'd get a decent amount. Sad, I really liked my pizza-it just needed sauce. read more

Hands down, the best pizza in mid Maine. Everything house made and locally sourced. New specials every week. The wood fired oven with pizzas cooking on the stone just can't be beat. Pizza, salad, desert and drinks. It gets quite busy in the summer but it's well worth the wait. read more

I was not impressed in the least. I ordered the "Jay's Heart" pizza and you could barely taste the sauce on the pizza. It was also quite greasy. I know it is suppose to be thin crust, but more like almost non-existent crust. I also ordered the Housemade Lemonade, expecting great things and was not thrilled. I feel that this place while "ok" was not worth the pretentious prices. read more

Thank you for leaving me on hold for fifteen minutes like a moron on Friday night before telling me you weren't taking any more orders at 630pm while my family was waiting to eat. Ridiculous and insulting. read more

we stopped in for pizza, we have been really wanting to dine in for some time. Service was pretty absent, almost everyone on staff had a cell phone either in their face or hands. I watched the staff spend more time chatting and goofing off with each other than actually working. The bus boy doesn't pay attention to where he is spraying his cleaning product and doesn't mind using the sanitizer cloth on eating surfaces that he has dropped on the ground. The plates and beverage Glasses served to us were still dirty as if the dishwasher or sanitizer in the back is in need of a drain and a hose down. Your bartended is spending more time chatting the girls up, he should be cleaning up his station. I wanted to like this spot, but it was filthy. The staff needs to be trained and coached on professional work behavior. Cells phones stay in the back, it's the most germy and distracting device. I realize this place is short staffed, but I can't eat somewhere that the filth is very obvious. Also, the pizza dough was still raw. read more

Pizza was GREAT!!!! Beautiful thin crust and fresh wholesome organic ingredients made these pies spectacular! Salads ordered to start were fresh also, with delicious Thai dressing. Even our fresh squeezed lemonades, which were sweetened with maple syrup, were delicious . Everything was served by a pleasant and smiling wait staff in a clean rustic decor setting. Loved it all ! read more

It's VERY difficult to find good pizza in Maine...even decent, but Flatbread is basically our home away from home when it comes to restaurants. As soon as you enter the large wooden building, the smell of the wood oven hits your face and it is the greatest sensation in the world. We are always greeted warmly and promptly, being seated wherever we like. If you happened to be there between 3-6pm, they have 1/2 priced drinks for happy hour, BONUS! We never get crazy with the toppings so we just order the Jays heart, which is just plain cheese. The pizza arrives quickly from the wood-fired oven, crispy and thin. The ingredients are all organic and mostly local when possible. The pizza is not cut traditionally and that really turns people off, which is stupid. It tastes the same, no matter what shape is. This pizza is to as close to home (NYC) that I can get. With the great service, excellent product, and consistently comforting environment, this is our favorite place to go out to eat. I know that Flatbread is thought of as a "chain", but they localize every location and make it their own. It would be great to try all of the Flatbread pizza locations. For now, I'll have to enjoy the Maine style pizza...with pleasure. read more

The pizza could've used a little bit more sauce but other than that the crust had good flavor and good texture. Definitely not something to write home about but it was good. read more

The vegan pizza was very tasty, loved the quality of ingredients. Kalamata olives and caramelized onions are soooo good on pizza and not every pizza place has those as options. They also had such a good, thin, lightly burned crust. They had a couple of vegan desserts also, a vegan gluten free brownie that was moist and chcoclately and a vegan lemon-strawberry whoopie pie which my husband inhaled while I went to the bathroom so I never got to even see it, but clearly he enjoyed! read more

We found this gem while out exploring costal Maine. We walked in expecting a regular pizza place and got so much more than we expected! They have pizza dough for the kids to play with while you're waiting for your food, which was awesome! The menu seemed limited, but it was SO good. The crust was thin but not so thin it turned mushy. The cheese and meat were both fresh. The mushrooms were delightful...super fresh, too. The service was so friendly. Just a really great dining experience. read more

Flatbread Pizza should be in every town! Best pizza on our Maine trip. Ashly our waitress last night was so friendly and helpful with the beer and pizza selections. Pizza ingredients amazing and all fresh. Our pepperoni mushroom perfectly baked in wood burning oven. Crust was terrific but ingredients make their pizzas top notch. They had lots of help tonight and everyone served promptly. Definitely family friendly with kids enjoying seeing pizzas made and teens sitting out front at the fire pit. They make pizza here like it should be made!! Don't miss if you are pizza hungry. read more

We had a large party of 11 people with 3 kids. Our waitress was very friendly and took care of us and made sure the kids in particular were happy. All the pizzas, save for mine, looked delicious - I ordered the 'community' something or other and it was a sloppy mess, wet in the middle, non-existent crust (everyone else's was nice and poofy on the edges, the sauce on mine slopped all over the edges with very little crust) and just 'meh' tasting all around. I will say it was pretty large for a 'small' and the toppings were fresh, just didn't pop. read more

I thought this pizza was terrible. It's sweet. Very sweet. For me, that is a deadly quality in a pizza. Whether it's sun dried tomatoes, sweet onions, sweet peppers--something is very sweet. I couldn't eat it. Trying to find something positive to say, I'll say that the crust was thin and crisp. It also took a very long time to prepare--40 minutes to wait for a pizza. I'm a local and I won't return. read more

Was quite disappointed. Just thought how much better it could be if they were not so chintzy with there toppings. You would think they could use more than one small mushroom and a slight bit of onion for a 20$ flatbread pizza. It is like corporate scale back. Don't they realize that the public will get it and they may not come back. Maybe it costs $.50 cents more to do it right. Where's the beef? Hate to say it but you might be better off at Domino's The salad was also a scale back! read more

We found this great restaurant in the off season of November. We were familiar with Flatbread pizza, living in Vermont we have been to American Flatbread in Waitsfield and had built our own clay oven, firing flatbreads. This place is a gem. Excellent ingredients, amazing crust, huge handmade clay oven and a cool vibe - we were not disappointed at all with anything. Simple, fresh and great flavors made our evening meal an experience which was added to by the great staff. Alexa was an awesome waitstaff who made us feel like family. We felt lucky to have stumbled onto this cool place. Thanks! read more
