We ended up picking a Princess Cruise and related land tours. Dave Branson is our consultant and he took it upon himself to arrange the cruise and our land tours and flights. He did a superlative job. One can only hope that a cruise meets the expectations that the advertisements often pique. In our case, Princess came up short, being that the ship seemed to be out of date in terms of decor and amenities. Food was also inconsistent. The tour advisor cannot be blamed for the failings of the cruise line. Without Dave Branson our experience would have been far different, and probably much less enjoyable.

You can't beat Expedia in Laguna Hills. I love a cruise…read moreship, the luxury, the service, the engineering marvel, the ocean, the food the entertainment. I've been many times for over 25 years and booked direct and with travel agents. Direct is ok for something simple, you know the cruise line maybe and maybe repeating a trip...say Carnival for the Christmas weekend to Ensenada...but my experience is that the pricing is the same whether buying direct from the line or buying with a travel agent. The travel agent gets a small commission from the line, obviously but they are buying at a discount so the pricing is consistent whether buying from the travel agent or going direct. But what you get FOR FREE from the travel agent is often invaluable in the form of advice about a particular line, the cruise, the ports, where on the ship you want you state room and a dozen other question that these experts to provide. The team at Expedia Laguna Hills is great at this. Old school customer service, actually answering the phone personally and helping you RIGHT NOW, not a website, not endlessly clicking for answers you can't find, real answers when you need them. Dave, Chris and others are responsive, knowledgeable, experienced and very easy to understand, very hard to find in our modern world and so great to have them right here in Orange County.

You do choose a time slot to enter, but due to traffic we were going to be a little bit late. We called and let the staff know and it was no biggie. Parking is a bit confusing since it's near a very busy road and residential area, so just make sure you're not parking where you can get fined or towed. After some confusion, we parked in the structure (unclear if allowed or not, but subsequently nothing happened. Phew!). The museum is located at the business plaza building and immediately stands out with it's beautiful storefront and the door that looks like it's out of a fairytale. Immediately we were welcomed by Sabrina, who was not only super informative (but in an easy to understand, not overwhelming way), but super friendly and made our visit that much more amazing. She knows the lore, knew the key and critical points to swoop in to enhance the magic (like when we went to ask the wise wizard some questions), and was very accommodating overall. The people really do make the magic. During your visit, you can opt to do the scavenger hunts and answer the riddles for some prizes and it varies in difficulty from easy to hard, but everything is open to interpretation based on YOUR IMAGINATION. It's the Museum of Make Believe for a reason. The attention to detail is immaculate, from the miniatures and dioramas, the foliage on the ceiling to the ground, and even in the water closet, there's so much to see and you can easily spend a long time just taking everything in. I won't include spoilers but I love that there's not just a lot to see, but to experience through sound and even smell! Lots of thought went into this museum and I'm glad it's getting expanded as well! Can't wait to see what the future holds for such a magical place!

Its nickname is "Jewel of the Missions" and is one of 21 Spanish missions in California. We purchased tickets ($18/adult) on-site although you can book them online to perhaps get a discount. We got an audio device where we could take an audio tour through the grounds and learn more about each individual aspect of the mission. We even saw the remnants of the stone church that was once the largest structure in California but was destroyed in the 1812 earthquake. While the inhabitants' primary goal was to promote Catholicism, the mission also served as an agricultural and economic center. The founding priests of the mission were told they had to be self-sufficient; when we visited the area there was a garden to grow food and a kitchen area. This mission was even the first one in California to make their own wine. Overall it took us an hour to walk around and explore. We didn't read or listen to everything in-depth but you can easily spend 2-3 hours here. We went early in the morning and there was no one around so it was peaceful exploring the grounds.

The gift shop was a museum too and had lots of interactive exhibits for the kids. We saw live snakes and frogs on display as well. Across the street from the gift shop was the actual sanctuary which is a 0.25 mile loop - you can finish it within 10-15 minutes if you want fast. An amphitheater and bird viewing area is in there as well. The creek was dry when we went but did see a small pond with lots of tadpoles. Also be aware of rattlesnakes as we heard they come out in the summer time. Trail was 80% shaded so was not so hot. Found out that TUCKER was acquired by ENC of Newport Beach in 2022 so you'll see lots of ENC gear in the gift shop. There are essentially 2 ENC locations now - one here and one in Newport Beach. The event Mindy and Shelbi set up for us was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! Our team has been raving about it ever since we left. I am so impressed with how everything was planned and organized. Mindy had prepared such creative activities that our team participated in with pleasure. We all had a chance to elaborate about the impact each activity had, and what takeaways everyone got from each activity, which was so impactful. Shelbi did an amazing job educating our team with her vast knowledge about nature and the Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary's history. Her passion for nature was contagious, especially after taking a mindful moment at the end of the program, and really taking in all the surroundings and having a collaborative debrief of the day! I thought it was absolutely amazing how well the program flowed and tied in key themes that were relatable for the work setting. Everyone definitely had fabulous take-aways that they are bringing back to the office. I think the goal was to bring everyone closer together and have a better understanding of different communication styles, the goal was definitely achieved with ease. Not only did Mindy and her team deliver an exceptional service, but the entire experience had a genuine sense of warmth and friendliness. It is rare to find a company that delivers exceptional services while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. Without hesitation, I will recommend ENC services at Tucker's to friends, family, and colleagues who are looking for a positive outdoor adventure. Mindy, I look forward to continuing our relationship and I am so happy we kept in touch through the different career paths. With heartfelt appreciation, Anna and Diaz Yourman & Associates (DYA)
