I have been doing business with this bank for over 15 years and "never" had a problem even after moving out of Illinois 8 years ago I have continued to do business with them. I've always received courteous and honest service from them. They were not my choice, it was from the car dealer, so I did not seek them out. I certainly would not do so either, having dealt with them. They are rude, almost for fun it seems, anytime calling in. But if you are a day or two late for a car payment , boy, they call like you owe the IRS millions. I have been hung up on, given the run around, on minor things many times. I am sure they work fine with some, but with me they do not. New customer to American Eagle with a car loan. I have called 6 times to set up my account on the internet and each time I am told the issue is resolved. I havd to pay extra for my payment so that my loan would noy be late. I am 72 and have never had this much trouble with a bank. I talked to Vanessa and the manager and they told me it was "miscommunication" no it was dishonesty. I had a car loan with them in like 2012. I paid it off - or so I thought. i had the sum in my automatic banking service where it auto debited every month the payment. well something happened where I thought I was done paying it off but apparently had like a slight remainder balance and forgot all about t bc out of sight /out of mind and i figured it was probs a bullshit junk fee. I had like 28 bucks left to pay. That figured 13 years later is now over 2400 if I want my own car title for a car I fully paid on and owned and got swindled out of a junk fee and 13 years of interest on it. I think it and anyone supporting it looks like total garbage. read more

I stopped by this location on sat the 30th of December only to find out that the lobby was closed( The bank had a a 6month Cd special they were running). I stopped by this morning tuesday January 2nd and asked to open this promotional Cd only to find out that the special was no longer available. I asked the personal banker why and she said she'd have to speak to her Manager. Banker came back and said she was not willing to honor the promotion even though I showed them proof I was there over the weekend. Well, the manager is a terrible business person, I personally showed how much the deposit would be, north of 350k. Very dumb business decision on her part and I'm very confident in saying this bank has lost a ton of business because of its management . There are way better options in the area. I will start off by saying the staff at this bank, from behind the counter to the bankers themselves are great people. Always polite courteous, and understanding. Covid hit me hard and I fell behind On my auto loan, they worked with me as I scrambled to find a second job to catch up on my payments. Insert their rude arrogant recovery manager Yuri. While I understand it's part of that job to be somewhat abrasive and harsh. Tearing someone down when they are struggling mentally, physically, and financially is not a way to motivate people. Yuri is one of the most despicable human beings I've ever had the misfortune of having a conversation with. I had a verbal agreement that he threw away over his feelings because I misspoke his name. While I understand there is a contractual obligation that I violated, the times were hardly in anyone's favor. You'd believe there would be some understanding after being a longtime customer, but Yuri's ego got bruised. If I was better off I'd seek legal action for some of the things that were said to me, simply disgusting. Stay far away, because if you have a catastrophic life event and fall behind, you'll have to deal with that wretched human being Yuri. read more

I only wish I could give it zero stars, but I'll give it one and give it to the gentleman who was helpful, but the rest of the people I had to deal with at that bank, I am so very very glad to be done with my car loan, and should have taken it somewhere else when given the chance. This bank will treat you terrible, and not feel bad at all, one lady insinuated, very blatantly, that I was a liar. I had my car loan with them for 5.5 years, only had One late payment, four years in, and they ripped my credit apart, after asking them to please remove it, because they Absolutely can do this, they refused, they have lied to me multiple multiple times, where it just was utterly amazing. I got auto loan from them and everything is transparent, there was no application fees or any other fees that are not necessary. They act as if they are doing you a favor by taking your money at over inflated interest rates. They have no comprehension of legal documents. Terrible people to work with. I was in the hospital so I missed a payment. They called me on Black Friday. I called them back later that day because I work in a restaurant in a mall and I was unable to answer. They were already closed. Left a voicemail letting them know I would be unavailable Saturday but would call back Monday with my checking account information. They took my car Sunday night at 1 am. I received a check from a business that does their banking here. I went in to cash it, but apparently it was over the limit of how much they can cash out to someone without an account there. So, I said let's open an account! The banker, Pam, started the process but got up to speak with her manager and came back saying that I could no longer open an account with them. She asked if I would like her manager to come over to explain why, I said yes. The manager was extremely rude and snarky, and gave zero explanation other than "You can't open a checking account here." Why turn away the opportunity for business? While Pam was very polite and kind, the manager here should absolutely be fired. She was rude, turned away business for no apparent reason, and is the cause of yet ANOTHER poorly rated review. I will be contacting the business that banks here to let them know about my experience with them, hopefully they take their banking needs elsewhere. This place is a joke. read more

I've always dealt with nice people here, however, it is definitely NOT the best institution to have any kind of loan with. They will often say you are late when you're not. Payments often get "missed" or "lost" and they will immediately deny that's possible. And God forbid that you are there a day later or the mail is delayed because they will harass you by phone AND mail. They are also not the brightest people there. I just got a call that the NSF'S that I sent them for a post-dated ck. on a loan that was cashed ahead of time will not be paid back to me. I sent the ck. ahead of time to the attn. of and circled the date but to no avail since the ck. was cashed. The person told me that cashing the ck. was justified since I am a month late. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT! Then why did they send me a ck. before for NSF's for the same problem. They tell you to send the ck. and post date it and then it is OK to cash it when they want. This bank has all the signs that they're heading out of business. Horrendous customer service, zero follow through and financial professionals not willing or able to work with you. I have sent in 3, yes three separate auto loan applications to refinance their current terms. The fist time the paperwork was lost, the second time the fax machine had errors, and the third time it was misplaced/ not found. I have a vehicle financed through them needed to change my due date because my employer is converting from weekly to bi-weekly payroll and this piece of garbage bank wants to charge me $50. We all know it takes no effort for a associate to edit my loan and change the due date. Why does this bank think they deserve to charge a CUSTOMER $50 to provide services to their customers.
