73 Blazer purchased from ADM

Purchased my second car from ADM. The first was a beautiful 71 k5 blazer. Unfortunately it barely ran. Long story short took me a lot of money to get the blazer right. I purchased a second Blazer from ADM recently. The staff is very responsive. The photos are by far the best you'll ever see of vehicles. Problem is this company is a "lipstick" kind of restoration company. They paint items silver and black to show great in pictures. I highly recommend that you pay to fly or drive in and view the vehicles before buying them. Trust me when I say they are not what the photos show. I made this mistake twice. You need to see what they're selling in person. The second blazer purchased recently has been repainted on the passenger side. Fish eyes and dust in the paint. Tape lines in the paint. It's a 3/10 on the repaint. The pretty pictures failed to show that. All in all fixable, but not worth it after the premium price you pay from ADM. I'm sure not every vehicle is like this, but unfortunately my 2 have been.

I bought a 1968 GTO from ADM and I'm happy with the purchase and the follow up provided to address some mechanical issues with the vehicle that needed to be addressed after it was delivered to me in Carlsbad, CA. Tom, Lynn, and Glen were very helpful throughout the entire process and provided timely follow up and a fair resolution to address unexpected issues with the vehicle. I completely understand a 52 year old vehicle will have some problems that will surface unexpectedly but overall I'm satisfied with the GTO and my experience working with ADM. I highly recommend ADM to anyone looking to purchase a classic car!

The proud new owners! Very pleased with service. I would highly recommend this place. Great experience!!

Tom listened to me (listening is a lost art these days) and we were able to work out a deal that I'm happy with.

Steve came highly recommended by our friends, Jim and Darcey Widmann, and now we know why. After shopping all over Des Moines for a truck, we encountered dealerships that either patronized us, hassled us, or made us feel like we didn't know what we were talking about. Some even tried to convince us that we couldn't get what we wanted. But when we walked into Toyota of Des Moines, it was a completely different experience. From the moment we were greeted, we felt welcomed and respected. Steve allowed us to choose the vehicle we wanted without any hassle. Every incentive was explained upfront, and the level of transparency was refreshing. What truly set them apart was their willingness to meet our needs on the trade-in. We were told by a Ford dealer (who originally sold us the Bronco) that we could never get the trade-in value we wanted, but Toyota gave us exactly what we asked for--no questions asked. Steve and the entire team at Toyota of Des Moines worked with urgency, respect, and professionalism to finalize the deal in a way that left us completely satisfied. This level of customer care and attention to our needs is what made us feel valued. Toyota of Des Moines embodies what it means to be a true car dealership. We are now proud Toyota brand loyalists and look forward to a lifetime of Toyota ownership, provided the company continues to deliver on its promise of quality in both manufacturing and sales. If you're out there shopping for a vehicle and struggling to find a dealership that truly listens and puts the customer first, look no further than Toyota of Des Moines. Thank you, Steve Henigan, and the entire team--you have earned our loyalty!

Then a week after purchasing the vehicle, multiple issues arose. They also agreed to fix a few things that they never fixed. They never detailed the vehicle either, and it was disgustingly dirty. Told them that was fine, I would like to look at it and test drive it...I had planned on driving to that location to see it. They offered to bring it into Des Moines instead but had to be pre-approved first. Told them I was not going to need financing, would be paying in cash. Great, made an appointment for 2 days later after confirming it would be at the Des Moines location. I show up for the appointment and the car had not been brought over. Had a conversation with management and they stated they do not transfer cars without pre-approval and agreement on terms/conditions. I explained again that we would not be financing the car so pre-approval was not necessary and who agrees to terms/conditions without first seeing the product (this was the first they mentioned agreement on terms/conditions was needed)? I also reiterated that I confirmed which location the vehicle would be at after being told that we needed to be pre-approved and I said we didn't. Told him to go back and read through my conversation as all texts were saved on their end...texts clearly show I was told it would be in Des Moines. Management was dismissive and didn't seem bothered. What a waisted trip and time out of my day. All in all, terrible with horrible customer service!

Two months later, the weather dipped into below zero temps, we smelled gas fumes and the smell only appears when you're warming up the car and when it's really cold. Found out, Willis did not run the VIN number or fix the recall on it and will not work with us to our satisfaction. After 2 months, Willis told us the car depreciated $6500 which is 1/3 of what we initially financed since we now have to eat that money. We went across the street to Mercedes to fix the recall issue. Obviously, Willis did not complete a multi-point inspection on this used vehicle as they initially stated. I just found out $2000 more needs to be done to this car to pass inspection. I believe Willis knew this car had issues which was not disclosed, and passed it off to the next unsuspecting customer. We were told Mike Thomas would call my husband to discuss further. That was 2 weeks ago. They are no longer a reputable company if they continue to treat their customers with disrespect and lack of integrity. Since Mike doesn't feel necessary to speak to us, we just went to a competitor of theirs and purchased a new vehicle for our daughter. I will not return to Willis due to their poor customer service.
