Over the last winter, we had two very small roof leaks. It was apparent there had to be enough…read morestanding water and the wind blowing a certain way for the leak to occur. But I still needed it fixed. I called AMB for a REPAIR estimate. What we received instead were two NEW roof estimates. One for $79,455 and the second one for $66,755. This was after they took a core sample. Do your research when working on your roof. We absolutely did not need a new roof. We knew that and every other company that came out, agreed. I was not going to post a review on this ridiculous encounter until the company we actually hired to repair and reseal the roof came across the core sample. They informed us that it was not put back properly and was actually stuck back in with caulk and the caulk used doesn't even adhere to roofing materials. Had this not been found and repaired properly, we could have had serious roof and interior damage. Unbelievable. This whole experience is, at the minimum, really bad business practices. At the most, it borders on fraud and negligence. Buyer beware. Update: I obviously ruffled some feathers. lol. I initially had written a six page review, listing every single detail but decided against posting that. Nobody is interested in reading a novel. Bottom line is we called for a repair. We do not need a new roof. We needed repairs and a reseal. We discussed a repair. AMB pushed for a full, new roof quote as the "repair quote would be 50% of what a new roof would cost". My husband said fine, but that he was really only interested in a repair. Btw, I am only discussing here the house and attached garage. The detached garage is an entirely separate issue. My husband is sitting here flabbergasted at this company's response to the core sample and how it was left. Because what was said here is not what he was told on site. I stand by my review and every word. The sales person saw a big house on 12 acres and assumed deep pockets and a huge sale. Big mistake

New roof looks awesome!! Got it done basically in a day and the entire property was clean before they left. Overall, communication was the absolute highlight. I would HIGHLY recommend these folks. Oh, they were the best in pricing as well. We had about 5 estimates. Most in the same area with one outlier. Thanks for everything!!

They did a great job on the…read morePaving part, but when the job with Paving was completed, they didn't put my heavy furniture, wood pile, huge potted plants, etc. back and left the job for ME to do! 4 strong guys and NOT ONE put anything back into place for me, a small woman by herself for the week. They also put garbage in my planters (drinks and lighting packages) because they were too lazy to pick up their mess! I had wood piled on my grass, patio furniture strewn on my grass, huge potted plants on my grass. When I got home, I asked if they were going to put it all back and the owner, Russ said "all my guys went home" and the brother of the owner said, "I put together your log rack, sooooooo....", and then they left. My husband was out of town and was furious that they did that to me. I'm a small woman and I stacked the wood pile back BY MYSELF (took me an hour), took me another hour to put what I could lift back into place furniture wise. Finally, I got mad enough to call the owner, Russ and tell him that he didn't finish the job. After calling Russ, and getting upset about it, he is having someone come and put my patio table back tomorrow, as I was told (so we'll see) - everything else was put back by myself. Yet, I never recieved an apology! Not even a tiny "I'm sorry" even!!! Are you kidding? The fact that these two grown strong men stood there and didn't even offer to HELP me is not even nice let alone professional! Had they put my furniture back and piled the wood back, they would have gotten 5 stars. What they did to me was not even gentlemen like. Even a neighbor would have helped a small woman. AND... the excuse that it wasn't dry is lame, because it WAS dry! It was 75 degrees and dry as bone. Hypothetically, if it was wet even, which it wasn't, they could have been nice and said they would return to finish their job and put everything back, but they didn't even do THAT! That's just being a nice person let alone being professional and completing a job!!!! My husband is furious and doesn't want to hire them again now because of that. How would they feel if it were their wife or daughter? If you don't expect your furniture and other items to be put back, they will do an excellent job otherwise.

We mentioned that we had some landscaping work we wanted to do and they went out of their way to be accomodating and helpful. The level of creativity and responsibility for our property was amazing. They went over and above what was in their contract, we are extremely pleased and would recommend them to everyone. We have dealt with many contractors and find Cal and Shan's the top of the list! Their philosophy is that they will treat your property as if it was their own, and they follow it meticulously. Their workmanship was phenomenal.

Mostly…read moregood, except... the landing between the steps and the patio was poured incorrectly, sloping toward the house and causing rainwater to leak under the wall into the enclosed sunroom. Todd resisted replacing the landing, suggesting instead making a drainage groove in the landing and installing flashing with sealant along the bottom of the wall. Against our better judgment, we went with his approach. It worked for a while, sort of, but water would still leak in with heavy rain and the problem got worse with time. I called again this year and talked to Ross, asking how they would recommend resolving the issue; he said they would contact us to schedule a time for Todd to come take a look, but I never heard back. Thus, we hired someone else to fix their mistake. It was an expensive project, was done incorrectly, and their followup/response was poor. I see lots of positive reviews online for them, but our experience is that if there is an issue with their work, they aren't likely to do much to make it right.

We bought our house a year ago, and the whole year have had very low water pressure. We had multiple companies come out and no one could diagnose the problem or was willing to go down into our very small well pit, so we had basically given up. Then, about a month ago a coworker recommended Huemann Well Drilling. I gave them a call and Josh and Jeff came over at my earliest convenience and diagnosed the problem right away and were super friendly. We had planned on waiting a few weeks to have the job done due to our busy work schedules, when suddenly our water completely gave out. I frantically called Huemann again and they were very nice about it and very flexible with coming in as soon as possible. Josh and Jeff came back over and were able to replace our pipes leading from the pressure tank, and also installed a brand new beautiful pressure tank into a closet in our basement so that it is actually accessible now. Everything was done in a timely and affordable manner! We are so extremely grateful to have found Huemann & Sons and would definitely recommend them to any looking for a professional and knowledgeable well company!
