Once, I attended a birthday gathering and there was a random leak somewhere that unknowingly spread and almost caused the guest of honor to slip and fall. Needless to say, it unexpectedly interrupted things. Other than that, it seemed to be an okay event space. There is ample parking spaces in the lot directly across the street. Lastly, keep in mind this street does flood (badly) in the event of heavy rainfall. I only know because I experienced it upon exiting an event. It looked like a circus of bumper cars.

ughhh this place is getting worse!…read more the floor area by the pool. so many pebbles under your feet! bathrooms by pool have no locks on the bathroom stalls OR the locker room doors! running water in sink that won't turn off just fucking dirty. i saw a toilet paper roll on the floor. Dirty floor mat in locker room area. Everything in the bathroom should be remodeled cuz it looks rusty and caked on grime in the tiles! Every single chair and lounge chair is old and dirty and needs to be replaced. Water should be cleaned more cuz it looked foggy. Tell people to not wear suntan oil in the water!!! Plumbing needs to be fixed becuz water goes down very slow and the toilets clog easy. All I did was number one and covered the seat and it still clogged! Seriously??? Bar area can def. be redone becuz it looks sad and lonely for alcohoic rednecks. Last but not least. The food area!!!! fucking lady did not use gloves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And she was a hot sweaty and hairy mess! I only bought a good humor bar. She touches money and handles food! Good god where does the money in this place go?!?!?! Shut it down I say!

I find Rabbi Mallach easy to talk to and responded immediately when needed. Dues, religious school fees & preschool fees are comparable to places nearby. I've made many friends and enjoyed many of the various activities including concerts, speakers and dinners. Beautiful venue for events with a well established onsite caterer who provides delicious food. Iespecially like the tasty hors d'oeuvres & yummy desserts. Plenty of parking.

We met many nice families from Springfield and the neighboring towns. My daughter had a beautiful Bat Mitzvah, and three years later, out son also excelled at his Bar Mitzvah. They each got a great Jewish education and developed close bonds with other Jewish kids. My daughter went on to become USY (United Synagogue Youth) president, and my son, USY membership vice president. They each enjoyed the Temple's Teen Institute, which was their decision to attend. Bottom line, Temple Beth Ahm Yisrael was an important part of their growing up. I highly recommend joining this synagogue for the social aspect as well as the religious one. Now that my husband and I are "empty nesters" we enjoy participating in the Friday night international themed dinners following the lively Shabbat services. And I have become active in Women's League where I've gotten friendly with many women from town who previously were just acquaintances.
