This was probably my favorite souvenir shop in Gettysburg. The selection was plentiful, and the…read moreprices were surprisingly reasonable compared to other shops nearby. Our teens found some super cute shirts, while the adults stocked up on fun keepsakes like knickknacks, magnets, and shot glasses. I did notice that some other shops in town carry higher-end items (at higher prices), so I treated myself to one splurge there. Service was fine - efficient but not memorable. But overall, this was the spot where most of our group found the best variety and value--and left with bags full of souvenirs. Highly recommend stopping here first.

We picked up a little hostess gift along with our post card. The gem of our visit is without doubt the 86yo cashier. She has a great sense of humor and seriously, still working at 86. Go visit this amazing woman. Probably should check out the inventory while you are there too.

Redding's is a functioning historic hardware store, with original beam floors and everything. The…read morehardware portion is well-stocked for its size, and reasonably priced. What shines, though, is the larger sporting goods area in front. A wide selection of new and used firearms at very reasonable prices, an expansive choice of in-stock ammo... That's pretty exceptional these days. They also stock reloading supplies, I've purchased Speer .308 bullets, Remington and CCI Primers, and some cartridge boxes. When nobody else has primers or powder, Redding's does. It's a little bit of a haul from Frederick, MD, but Redding's is a destination shop. I get excited about driving there, and will always take a chance to ride the motorcycle up. And, you can stop at Keystone Fireworks on the way home.

The sales staff went above and beyond in assisting us. There's a wide selection of items to choose from-a bit of organized chaos for me but that's a personality critique of myself, perhaps. The prices are affordable; we purchased 5 items of clothing for around $250.00, including Fall outerwear. The clothing seems to be well made for the price; they provided adequate space for trying on clothing; afforded multiple size and style options; and the customer service was outstanding. We will definitely be repeat customers!
