Today we had a flight that was scheduled for 1:30 when we booked, sometime later the flight time was changed to 3:35 departure - okay we knew in advance. Then we board at 4:20 only to have an announcement that, once again - we had to fly to Oakland to refuel "due to the wind". WTF JSX? Convenience- yes, service in-flight - great! Reliability - sucks! This is my home airport, what is not to love? =)…read more Anyways, Buchanan Airport is one of the more competitive GA airports here in the Bay Area. There are FBO's onsite to cater your fueling and pair needs as well as a few flight schools to help you on getting your license. There is also a kids play area on the airport and I always give the a nice wave when passing by to and from my parking. It always nice to taxi along jets as JSX airlines is also present in this field. Although a restaurant is not present within the premises, fret not. There are a multitude of good restaurants just stones away form Buchanan airport. From the transient parking, the Veranda is just over a half mile with shops, restaurants, end even a movie theatre. I am glad to have KCCR as my home airport.

When I read these reviews I was horrified and worried I'd be charged for something random, or the airline/ airplane itself would be in horrible condition, my biggest fear was paying extra for no middle seat and coming to only see someone sitting in the middle seat. Needless to say I'd had quite the opposite experience!!! I came in at 9 on Sunday with no life at the desk, walked up to Jasmine who was nice enough to let me know my bag was ok as a carry on. I made it through security with no line at all and to the gate just in time to have a beer and a burrito. The plane and employees on it where just like any other for any other airline I've been on, I didn't have one bad experience. My seat was clean ( window seat) and no one was in the middle seat!!! For the price and experience I'll take this anytime!!! I'm definitely coming back again. Thank you tot he staff for making this enjoyable experience and definitely proving some of these negative comments wrong.

After booking they changed our departure time from very early morning to late evening, and our return flight from late afternoon to morning, effectively costing us two days of our vacation. On our return flight home our flight was abruptly canceled 30 minutes prior to boarding, with no explanation, leaving us no option but to quickly book a flight home on a different airline at a much higher cost! If you have ANY other option, avoid Spirit Airlines like the plague!

My first flight was delayed by two hours which meant I'd miss my connecting flight to Oakland. Note to self. Always fly direct if possible. What happened next just blew me away and made me a Southwest customer for life. * At the Customer Service station in Vegas, the kind Southwest lady booked me on the next direct flight to Oakland at no additional charge. * My baggage didn't make the direct flight to Oakland but the super nice Customer Service lady at Oakland Airport (shout out to Jamina) processed my baggage report and made sure I was alerted when my bag arrived on the next flight which was in about an hour. * Southwest gave me a $150 credit for my troubles. * Southwest refunded my $35 baggage charge. Matt says if you are traveling, be sure to check out Southwest. Their professional attention to the customer is superior to any other airline I've flown with.

Boarding was also smooth with the numbered zones and assigned seating. The Oakland gate areas are super small thought with a limited amount of seating. I'd imagine on a busy travel day, working your way to your gate could be an issue. It's probably the least appealing gate area of any Southwest terminal I've been in. Luckily, I wasn't there long.

Perfect little airport…read more The Stockton Metro Airport might just be the most convenient airport there is. If you drive yourself there, you will see two large parking lots where they offer paid overnight parking. There are plenty of spots available so there is no need to arrive extremely early to hunt for an open spot. There is a kiosk inside where you can conveniently pay for parking when you wait for your belongings at baggage claim. This is definitely not an airport where you have to follow the general rule of showing up two hours early. I have shown up less than 30 minutes from boarding time and made it to the gate with plenty of time to spare. If you do decide to come early and have daytime/early evening flight, you can stop by the small restaurant for a bite. Since the only flights out of STK Airport are to Phoenix and Las Vegas, the majority of travelers don't check a bag. This makes the bag check line super short and quick. The TSA line also goes by super quickly. There is only one agent to check IDs, but there is never any hold up. Even through the government shutdown, I experienced no TSA delays. For travelers with TSA Pre-Check, you'll likely be the only person in line and will get through even quicker. It only takes a few moments to get through the security clearance before you're greeted by a large waiting area and bar. The waiting area by the gates is quite spacious. Right before the flight boards, it can get quite packed but there are typically still seats available. The intercom system is awful. It sounds like static. If you pay attention or sit closer to the gate, it shouldn't be an issue though. The bar is the perfect addition, especially before Vegas flights. Many people taking that weekend night flight to Vegas uses the bar as a pre-game for their night out. Don't expect to sleep on those flights, they're super rowdy! The drinks at the airport bar are typical for airport prices. We got three drinks for $27. The bar, of course, is limited on what they can make due to their few ingredients. My margarita was made with mixer and had nothing on the rim. Despite being super busy, the bartender got the drinks out super fast. He ran that bar by himself like the military and with style. He slid the drinks across the bar top giving everyone a little show too. Because the departing flight is directly dependent on the flight coming in, there are sometimes small flight delays. They have to deboard everyone and do a quick pass through to let everyone else on which can take a while. Despite what you may think about Allegiant Airlines itself, this is a fantastic airport, especially for those wanting a weekend getaway or a connection to a larger airport.

She was always happy to research a place that information was requested about. She helped put together an itinerary that would allow my family to see and experience Bologna, Venice, Rome and Florence in one week. Her knowledge of Italy is amazing and she made very good suggestions as to where to go and what to do in the limited time. It was all seamless and stress-free. All the hotels that she picked in each location were within 10 minutes-walk of the train station. The hotels were friendly, roomy and, most importantly, air-conditioned (for the European heatwave this summer). All the hotels came with breakfast that was made-to-order with so many choices. Marilyn booked the train tickets for the various cities and the times worked out perfectly. In Rome, Marilyn planned some tours, including had a wonderful three-hour small group guide for the tour of the Roman ruins and antiquity followed by a tour of the Basilica and the wonderful paintings there. Most importantly, Marilyn provided the kind of personal, friendly and patient service that you would not receive from an online travel agent. When she heard of the flight cancellations and stoppages in Europe, she e-mailed us to make sure everything was fine. When we returned home, she sent a Welcome Back notecard in the mail. Sharon was VERY communicative and was quick to respond to all my emails/texts. She made things REALLY easy for me; this made me feel comfortable bc I was not going to be on the actual ride and wanted to make sure my team was taken care of. There was a snag on the day due to a freeway closure after an unrelated accident but I was able to work with the driver directly to minimize the issue as much as possible.
