I had my taxes done last year when this office was affiliated w/ Liberty Tax. I was not satisfied, but when I notified them of this, Trish MORE than made up for it. I was frankly shocked at how far she went with her generosity to make sure I was satisfied. This year, I again went to this office, now Ameri Tax. I stopped in w/o an appointment, asked for Trish, who was busy. I decided to just have my taxes done anyway, 'on the spot', to see how it compared to last year, with giving them no advance 'warning', as it were.. Granted, my taxes were much simpler this year, but a nice lady named Julie did both my Federal and State taxes in about 30 minutes! Virtually no interruptions, and I was in and out quickly. I was thrilled. Today, I just received BOTH my refund checks from Fed. and State, picked up my completed forms from the Ameri Tax office, and deposited my refunds at the bank. In short, I am completely satisfied with my experience at this office, and as long as they are operating at 7th and Redondo, I can't see doing my taxes anywhere else! Thanks to the great staff there! I have been a customer here since 2003. Then I decided to take Ameri Tax Service tax course after the owner let me know I had the skills to prepare taxes. Not only was the manager Joe a sweet heart and funny but some of the staff has become family. After completing the course I had the honor in working with Trish and Charmaine who are very knowledgeable tax consultants. I am grateful to be able to call them friends. When I was a client Trish remembered all of my children birthdays and what they had done in the prior year even though we only saw each other once a year. She has always made me feel welcome! So in saying all of this if you are in the Long Beach, CA area and you need your taxes done by someone who really knows what they're doing and not just throwing some words and numbers on a screen than you should go there and see what all my bragging is about lol. Filing my taxes through AmeriTax could not have been easier or more efficient. This is my first time using their services, and now I am a customer for life. I called the office before arriving and they invited me to come in with my tax documents and identification. The office is clean and inviting, and it's easy to find off of 7th and Redondo. Tom helped me file my taxes - he is super friendly, honest, kind, and helpful. I filed as someone who is self-employed for the first time and Tom helped me with all of the paperwork and expense information. As someone who doesn't know a whole lot about taxes, I was so glad to be able to rely on Tom for assistance in securing the maximum refund possible. The process only took 1 day from start to finish. This is the second year that Trish has done our taxes and she is amazing. The personal service and attention to details really pays off. She was able to help us with tax deductions that we did not even know about and our refund each year has been 40% greater than what I used to get with our old accounting firm. When we came to her last year, she was able to go back to my 2008 taxes and get thousands back by submitting an amended tax return and still get more back on my 2009 taxes. I love Trish! She has prepared my taxes for years. My ex's as well which helps because of our kids. She makes it easy to be organized and thorough even when I bring her mounds of paperwork. I have some extra forms due to some investments and she reminds me all the various write offs and taxes that I have due. I really consider her a friend even though we see each other once a year. I did an extension at ameri tax. It was my first time filing with a real job. My return was easy and cost me $85. But Trish gave me lots of good advise about how to handle my school credits next year and how to fill in the W4 forms so I don't mess myself up. She was really busy but still took the time to answer all my questions. I know I can do this myself but I thought the conversation I had plus I got a decent refund was really worth it. This place is the best!! Charmaine and Beatrice helped me and they were fantastic. I had a 1099 and was going to owe at least $1000 to the government. Not sure what they did, but instead of owing I actually got a refund! I literally almost cried from happiness. Everyone in the office was incredibly nice and helpful. I recommend this place 100%. I only wish I had found them sooner and didn't waste all those previous years on the incompetent H & R Block!
