We had a horrible experience trying to find a reputable transportation company to transport a 17,000 pound truck from Arizona to Oklahoma that we had just purchased. I signed up on a site to get quotes, did not notice sellers DOT number was still visible, which allowed transport companies to look up dot number and obtain companies name and phone number, transport companies started contacting the seller to arrange pick up, outside of the site I was using to get bids, misleading the seller as if they were the hired transport company. This made the process more stressful, and caused confusion with the seller. Quotes I received on the website ranged from $2600-$3300.00 to transport the truck. Pick up window averaged up to 7 days after transport as booked. Each company that responded, I checked their reviews on BBB/google, their business registration on Secretary of State in the state they were located, and checked the operating status on FMCSA site. I was surprised to see horrible reviews on BBB, and some unprofessional responses from the companies and some brokerages/transport companies had no authorization status on FMCSA I happened to come across Amerifreight on google by accident! I checked BBB (4.8 rating), S.O.S (active/in compliance) and FMCSA (authorized brokerage). I was interested in speaking with them; they had the best history by far on BBB, authority on FMCSA. I called and spoke with Lisa Henderson. She was the most informative agent I spoke with, very upfront about what her company does and what to expect during the process. They only use companies with 4.5 star rating, they vet each company before they are assigned. She reassured me that she would be with me through the entire process, from arranging transport, pick up, and delivery. After I signed up with Amerifreight, with in a couple of hours Lisa had found a transport company, that could pick up the truck the following day (12/6/23) eta arrival 12/7/2023 for $1415.00, requiring a $315 deposit at time of booking, and remainder paid to transport company. Due to shady transport companies bothering the seller, Lisa went a step further and arranged for seller to contact transport company to arrange pick up time to ensure the truck was released to the correct company. After seller made contact with transport company set up pick up time at noon on 12/6/2023. I immediately received an update, the driver reached out and introduced himself. When driver showed up to load the truck he called me to confirm last 6 digits of vin to ensure correct truck was being loaded. I inquired about ETA a couple hours later for following day, attempt to arrange for someone to be at the shop, driver responded promptly eta 1-2pm, would let me know better eta in the morning. First thing the next morning I received an update transport would arrive around 2:00pm, which ended up being the time of arrival. Truck was unloaded quickly, no issues, guy was nice, professional, thorough at the time of drop off. Lisa kept her word and checked in randomly to ensure we had no concerns during transport! I'm very pleased with my experience with Amerifreight and transport company. They worked together, went above and beyond to ensure our experience was great!

We shipped our car from Michigan to Washington State using Ameri-Freight. (***We initially signed up with Rapid Auto Shipping about 2 weeks before and their Rep. Ed Hunt assured us that the price would not increase from what he quoted. He gave that assurance several times leading up to our pickup date. On the day the car was to be picked up Rapid Auto Shipping tried to extort another $400 out of us saying there was a problem with the initial carrier.) We then contacted Ameri-Freight, spoke with Robyn, and our car was on the carrier that same day! The price was great and Robyn's communication skills were excellent! She's a true professional in her field. The car arrived on-time (5 days) and it was a great experience! (Especially after all the stress with other brokers that preceded our hiring Ameri-Freight. Thanks Robyn!!!

Avoid Lecia! And for that matter, avoid the whole company! Wow. I received an estimate nearly two weeks ago from Amerifreight to ship my car across the country. That estimate was $1596. Today I got a call saying that Amerifreight had a carrier lined up. Great! Except the price is now "about $2300." I said, "what happened to the $1596?" Lecia - and her supervisor, who I spoke with after talking with Lecia - informed me that the the $1596 was just an estimate, and the quote would obviously increase beyond that. I asked "where does it state that, and why is the final quote 50% more than originally quoted?" The supervisor told me something to the effect of "if we actually quoted a carrier that price no one would ever take it." So why make that quote to the customer then? Amazing. When I had asked Lecia the same thing on the prior call, she said, and I quote: "I don't know. I don't care. I've been here for 9 years and I don't read that stuff anymore...99 percent of people get how this works, you're the 1 percent who doesn't." Interesting approach to customer service. Avoid these people! read more

AmeriFreight is a solid "Meh". I've shipped two cars with them and it was the same less-than-great experience both times. The rate they quote you is the absolute bare minimum if everything works out perfectly and the moon is full on a leap year. But I was prepared for the actual fee after having shopped around. So Meh on pricing. Amerifreight charge a fee of approx 20% of the total cost for finding you a transport company who will do the actual transportation. And they will try to sell you insurance you don't need. You pay the driver the actual shipping fee in cash or cashiers' check upon delivery. We were fortunate to find good drivers both times, and both times neither of them could pick up our car at the origin or deliver it to the destination due to the truck being too big to go into the residential areas. So be prepared for that -- Jorge at AmeriFreight isn't about to tell you. Jorge also didn't really explain how the bidding process works, so after I had placed my order I had total radio silence as he assumed I knew exactly what was going on. He was surprised I contacted him. Don't buy the insurance, it isn't worth it -- almost pure profit for AmeriFreight. So Amerifreight will get the job done, but it won't be convenient, it'll be more than you expected, you won't know what's going on unless you ask all the right questions, but your car will likely get there just fine. Choosing AmeriFreight over some other booking agency won't make any difference to the quality of transport because the transporters are independent contractors and AmeriFreight just sends them jobs. read more

After receiving an "estimated quote " I asked Brandy de Jesus how much would my total price be. She explained to me that it's a bidding business and it could go from $833 up to $1650 depending on the Trucker! She said there's no way of knowing what the final cost will be until it reaches its destination that is a tremendous scam. I wouldn't trust these people with a bicycle. read more
This is the second time we've used AmeriFreight to ship our son's car to/from Ohio to/from California and it went seamlessly both times. Would definitely recommend AmeriFreight. I've gone through Erica both times and she has been super professional, communicative and easy to work with. Highly recommend. read more

Baylee Ivey and AmeriFreight did a GREAT job shipping our brand new car across the country for us. Good communication, on time on both ends - perfect experience! read more
A friend recommended Amerifreight for my car move. Initially I was nervous when I called since they are a broker company and not shipping company so could not guarantee me any type of time window initially. The coordinator explained that they put out a notice and wait for a driver to respond. You can either choose to have your post with just a minimum offer and see who picks it up, or allow them to add another $200 during negotiation to increase the chances of a pick up (they call it the Maximum Acceptable Rate Ceiling (MARC). I was about to go with another company since I wanted to have an ensured time window, but within two hours they called and emailed me with a driver. The driver was easy to reach and always picked up his phone when I called. The coordinator also called failure frequently to ensure that I had been able to communicate with the driver. My car was delivered in less than a day from Los Angeles to Tucson. I paid 345 by credit before pick up and another 375 by cash/cashier's check on pick up. Car was in perfect condition, just dusty. You're required to leave a review on a transportation website as well as one other or have to pay an additional $50. read more

i used AmeriFreight to have a car shipped from Florida to Wisconsin. Our csa - Yolanda Calle - was very nice and patient, as I had never done anything like this before. Prices were ballpark what shipping a vehicle would be, I believe when it was all said and done we paid just under $1,400. We found a driver within 3 days of calling AmeriFreight. Unfortunately our negative experience came with the driver/shipping company - Next Day, inc. out of Chicago area. The driver was late upon pick up and delivery and did not communicate with us whatsoever. We had to text him a few times to see what was going on and if he had an ETA and wouldn't respond to our texts, that ordeal was very hectic and frustrating as with his lack of communication it made it difficult for us to make plans to be home for delivery. as days went by with no word from the driver we got to the point of worrying. read more

Using Amerifreight was the WORST car shipping experience I have EVER had. They brokered me to Gigi Line Inc, who damaged my car, SMOKED in it, then accused me of lying about it and refused to remedy it. I asked them to please make it right and they Iaughed about it and said "go ahead and just leave a bad review". Completely unethical company that doesn't care about your car or you as a human being. If you want a damaged car that reeks like cigarettes so strong it makes you gag, and this company calling you a liar, refusing to do anything about it, and literally taunting you, then use this company and that's exactly what you'll get. Not to mention my car arrived so disgustingly filthy it was barely recognizable. It was in shockingly horrible, atrocious condition. Whenever I ship my car again I will NEVER use this company, and I always and forever ask the broker to make sure they blacklist Gigi Line from my car and my business. read more

Terrible - Samantha gave me all the reasons to work with AmeriFreight and i signed a contract where they committed to picking up within 7-days.......on day 5, they called and said my $883 price was $500 MORE if I wanted my car picked up !!!!......so, my house sold, could not move the car in time and had to pay extra to a reputable company to pick up in 24 24 hours - VERY POOR SERVICE - they don't care read more

Moved my car from Virginia to Oklahoma with no issues. I would advise that you negotiate the price. Don't just accept the first bid provided. They did an excellent job of facilitating the negotiation between myself and the driver. After a bit of back and forth, we agreed on a price that was about 20% lower than the initial bid. Great experience overall. read more

They were very responsive and good at communicating in the initial quote phase. I was pleased with the competitive quote they offered and decided to trust AmeriFreight to coordinate my cross-country shipment. I should have paid more attention to the reviews talking about their bait-and-switch tactics. Towards the end of the 7-day window for shipment (a couple months after the agreement), I was getting nervous since they hadn't found any carriers for me. I was then informed that they might just not find any, and I might just be SOL. Then, on day 6 of 7 they find a carrier but it's about 75% more expensive than the initial quote. With no other options at the end of this window, I had to suck it up and go with it. They're upfront that the quote is not guaranteed, but I was shocked at how much more it ended up costing me. You put all your eggs in the basket of this company, and you're completely at their whim since you're not going to find a new carrier at the 11th hour. Don't be surprised if you end up paying 75% more than what they quote you for! I was told it's "seasonal," but I'd expect a company with such experience in the industry to be able to provide more realistic quotes. They get you in the door with what looks like a good deal, and at the 11th hour you have no choice but to fork over much more than you're expecting! read more
I had a great experience shipping my 2019 Mercedes C43 with Amerifreight. I was assisted by Maleah who was very responsive and thorough. The company assigned to ship my car was prompt and delivered it on the same date they promised (picked up on a Friday evening in Los Angeles, delivered on Monday evening in Dallas). This was also the most competitive rate I received as compared to all other services I priced. Thanks again. read more

Contract didn't begin within the date range I supplied so I had to spend over $700 in a car rental while waiting for my car. They charge an insane percent fee to use a credit card because they prey upon people not wanting to use cash to pay a driver. To avoid this, I asked them to verify if the driver uses Venmo. They replied yes. Lo and behold, the driver doesn't accept Venmo. Now my favorite part. Initial contract for expected price was $1650. After already being late on the date for car pick-up they send a contract for $2150. That is more than a 25% increase in price. Since I no longer live in the state and don't have a car, they once again preyed upon me because if I reject, I now have to use another company that will take at least a week to send me my car and I will have to burn through more money by having to rent a car during that time. read more

Do not trust this company! I was quoted 745 to transport my vehicle from Virginia to Texas. There's was no communication from the time I placed my order until a week before my pick up date. Kimberly Smalls who was my broker was very rude on the phone saying that I didn't give her enough time to find a carrier. When I have given her 3 months to find me a driver! She told me over the phone that she called about 35 carriers and sounded very annoyed that she had to do that and said she only got 1 response back for 1025! Big difference from the first quote she gave me! Also she could not find a carrier within my time frame and she was not very helpful! I ended up going with a different company who actually updates me with everything and for a better price within my time frame! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! read more

Recently had a extremely bad experience with these people. I paid to have my car shipped at the beginning of the month. I called the car company up. They gave me a $980 quote to ship my car from nyc to CA. When they called me back to get all of the details and sign the contract it was all fine. After they assigned a carrier, the shipping price changed. I put the deposit down and got evetythi g ready to be shipped. Ugh. On shipping day the carrier called me and informed me that he went to the wrong address. The car was supposed to be shipped on a Friday and we diddnt hear anything about weather the carrier would be able to pick up the car until the following Monday. Spent the whole weekend wondeting what to do next. They told me they had found a new carrier on Tuesday and then called back and told me I would have to have someone drive the car 20 miles to meet the carrier. That diddnt work either. They called me back three days later and told me they found a new carrier for my car and to call back right away or I would loose my deposit to ship the car. I called them back on my lunch break beacuse I was at work and can't have my phone on me at work. It was no more then two hours between my their call and mine. I then spoke with the office manager George who proceeded to tell me this whole incident was my fault. I finnally had to call my bank and reverse the transaction for my deposit beacuse the car was never shipped. There was one more call and one more chance to fix the situation and it was them calling me and telling me that they had another carrier who could ship my car. But the carrier couldn't make it into the area. I feel like four times is way too much. 4 strikes your out. read more

I haven't even picked my car up and I'm already very unhappy with the entire ordeal. When I called and made the shipping arrangements I was told the vehicle would be picked up either thurs evening or friday morning. THE CARRIER ARRIVED THURS MORNING! Luckily somebody was home even though nobody spoke to us ahead of time warning it would be early. I get a call Sun saying the car would arrive Mon morning, even though I told Amerifreight several times nobody would be available until after 3PM during the week. I call the driver and was basically told "too bad, that's the time". I finally convinced him to drop it off in the town I work in (supposedly, we will see if it actually happens) but that means I will have to leave work early, pick up the keys, drive 45 mins home, another 45 mins back to work, and a 3rd 45 mins home again! Seriously, what is the point of paying Amerifreight???? What did they do for me? Either they lied to me on purpose or they are so incompetent that they have no control at all over pickup and drop off times. read more

Absolutely recommend AmeriFreight! Maleah was my contact through the entire process, and I couldn't have asked for anyone better (although I did speak to 3 others during the whole thing, who were excellent as well). From the original contact, she was sweet and thorough. Something this company does that I REALLY appreciate is texting, because I don't have time to be on the phone most days. It took longer than we originally thought to get a carrier ( California to Maine isn't a popular thing during the winter) and the price ended up being higher than originally quoted, but it was worth it. Even when she told me the original offer, she went back and asked them to lower it which they did. All in all, excellent service, and would recommend to everyone and would use again in the future if needed. Thank you Maleah!!!!! read more

I tried to book with the company and received a quote that was mor expensive than I anticipated. The reviews on the company were fairly good and I felt that they had things under control. I spoke with Chris Larson who talked me through the process and how the company works. I was on a tight schedule to get my car to another location and never heard a single word back. I called a few times and was told he would call me right back. All I request from a company is communication. Just a quick "hey I'm working on XYZ and will continue to update you" is all I needed. I am disappointed in the brokerage fee of $275. and the auto transport that was contracted to transport my car. Amerhifreight was the first to respond and promised that their companies had great ratings. The driver from Baht Trucking, Inc. from Philadelphia, would not pick up in the most convenient location or drop off at my door. Driver James said he'd drop off 9/15. He arrived 9/13 early afternoon and wanted my family to drive to meet him because he said he couldn't turn the corner. He kept complaining that we were wasting his time. I would never use this broker again because they didn't handle the multiple dramatic calls from James well. read more

Quoted one rate then when the first bid arrived a day later it was 40% higher than the estimate. I was told "better take it. Won't get lower than that. You're lucky to get this price", essentially admitting that the quote was a lie. But it's too late because by then you've already signed and they've got you for hundreds of dollars. These are scam artists making a dishonest living. It's probably the dirty industry and not this place in particular, as we encountered similar games in moving our furniture, but I definitely would not recommend this company. read more

Anyone looking to use AmeriFreight for auto shipping needs to realize that AmeriFreight is just a broker. They don't do the actual shipping. They give you a low quote, it will be lower than everyone else's. There's a reason for this. So, you decide to go with AmeriFreight, and go with the lowest quote you received. Like we did. We were quoted $1278 to ship our car to our son who is in the military. Car needed to be shipped from Virginia to California. I used Uship as well, lowest quote there was from Montway for $1565 but I never contacted them because AmeriFreight's quote was lower. So, I started the process with AmeriFreight with one representative, who stopped answering my emails. Did a second quote, same amount of money, and was contacted by a different rep named Reginald. Reginald was communicative, helpful, answered quickly, etc. So, I started to trust the process. He starts sending me online links to fill out forms and agree to their TOS. Once I do this, Reginald contacts me to tell me they will put my shipping needs out there, and see which carrier will accept the quoted amount. In the TOS, it states the quoted amount is the "economy" quote, and has a 3 or 5% acceptance rate. I wasn't feeling hopeful. Reginald calls me to tell me a company said they would ship it for $1650. Keep in mind, this is higher than the quotes I received on Uship. I told him this. He said he would contact the carrier and see if they would accept a lower amount. Calls me back within a min or two, and says the carrier states they will ship our car for $1500. Agreed. Now, keep in mind when you agree to this, you also have to agree without knowing WHO is shipping your car. You just have to sign the agreement and pay a deposit. Once that is done, THEN you will get the dispatch info containing the information of the company that will be doing the actual shipping. So, you are unable to vet the company that will be actually transporting your company PRIOR to agreeing and paying money. You're just going on trust and faith at this point. That's a mistake. AmeriFreight gets a $300 (in our case) deposit for being the broker, the you pay the remaining balance in cash to the carrier In our case, it ended up being ETA Trans, Inc. Who is one shady company. To be fair to AmeriFreight, they may not realize this. But ETA Trans, Inc. picked up our vehicle on Friday, Jul 29th, 830a in the morning. Estimated delivery date to California was yesterday, Aug 5th. Wed, Aug 3 my son reaches out to the driver who picked the car up, and the driver informs him that our car is sitting on his lot, and we would have to talk to his "manager". Why is our car sitting on a lot somewhere, who knows where. And not on the truck/trailer being delivered to our son?? "Manager" with ETA Trans Inc has no answers, instead tells my son the vehicle will be delivered Friday or possibly Saturday. Today. So, on Friday, yesterday, my son hasn't heard from anyone. Gives them until noon his time. Nothing. I emailed Reginald to fill him in on what's happening, see if he can track down and locate our vehicle for us. No response. Zero. I guess once a carrier is involved, AmeriFreight washes their hands of you and your situation. They got their money at that point. No need to go any extra steps. So, I call the number given to us by AmeriFreight for a woman named Julie. Julie didn't answer, but a man named Adam did. Adam tells me our vehicle will be delivered today, Saturday, between 10a and 12p. Fine. I also pointed out to Adam that his driver told us our car is on a lot. It should be on a trailer, being delivered, correct? He "yeah'd" me, without acknowledging if it was indeed on a lot or a trailer or where the car is. I relay the message to our son. Three hours later, my son messages me to tell me that a driver from ETA Trans Inc had called him, and said he was 28 mins away from delivery location. Interesting. How did the delivery time go from Saturday, today, at 10a to 12p, to Friday evening (yesterday) at 430p? Where is our car?? Right? My son meets ETA Trans, Inc. Different truck driver. Different truck. Small, two car trailer instead of large, 9 car trailer it was initially loaded on at pickup location. What is going on?? So, our vehicle WAS sitting on a lot somewhere, not being delivered. And they only brought it to us after we started chasing it down. Vehicle was FILTHY. Covered in an inch of dirt, windows had been opened, etc. No one has any answers regarding this situation. Truck driver that delivered our vehicle refused to answer questions, and informed my son to "call his manager". If AmeriFreight can't vet their carriers any better than this, choose a different broker for auto shipping. Better yet, find a small transport company that is trustworthy and local to you and see if they are willing to ship transport your vehicle for you. Stay away from these big companies who only see numbers on a screen. They don't care about you or your vehicle or what's going on. read more

I am only giving one star because it will not allow me to not give a star rating, but trust me, this company full of liars deserves a zero star rating. In the beginning of April, I began searching around for an auto transport company to move my vehicle from Arizona to Pennsylvania at the end of May. I received more than my fair share of quotes from companies, and all were in a the general ballpark range of around $1,100-$1,200. Amerifreight quoted me $950. I reached out to them, and they promised they "would not be beat" in their pricing, and would get me "the lowest price possible, guaranteed." I asked how firm that quote was (I did some research and found out all are brokers and there is usually a little wiggle room. Was informed by my Amerifreight rep Sarah that if the price did go up past $150, it wouldn't be more than an extra hundred dollars, and that included their cut. I was pretty clear that I had enough of a window between May 7-20 but absolutely had to be out by May 21. She said the window would make the price a lot better for me and having flexibility was a plus. After agreeing to go with them, she informed me they would remain in constant contact. This also proved to be bs. Week 1 in May passes. No contact. May 9, I contact them and am told "we will call you by Wednesday with news." Wednesday comes and passes. So does Thursday. May 14, one week before when I had to depart Arizona, I call back. Sarah answers and gives me some baloney story about how the pipeline being hacked shut everything down (why she couldn't say this on the 9th? Your guess is as good as mine), but the good news was, my price would be even LOWER than my original $950 quote. Monday, I finally get a call from Sarah unsolicited. She tells me she has an offer.... Remember I mentioned originally that she said it'd be no more than $100 more than the original quote, then it'd be even lower than that just two days prior? Well... The quote she has is $1,950... I say to her "that isn't even remotely acceptable and I'll wait for another offer" (she told me that there would be multiple carriers that would bid and I could decline if one didn't suit me). The same person who less than 3 days earlier told me that it'd be less than $950 and from the start told me it would cost me no more than $100 above it, says to me "that's as low as you're going to get, honestly." Now, I may not be a math major here, but last I checked, $1,950 sure as hell isn't less than $950, nor is it within $100 of it. I'm not a fool. They promised a low price, waited till the last minute thinking they'd have me in a precarious situation, and I'd pay over $1,000 more. I informed Sarah that I'd just as soon push the car manually from Arizona to Pennsylvania before I'd use their dishonest company who uses bait and switch tactics. Mercifully, Budget Truck upgraded me a bigger truck with a tow for no additional cost from what I was going to pay originally for the truck ($1,500) and I drove the vehicle back myself on the back of the tow, but let this be a warning. This company will bait and switch you with a low offer, promise you that it will remain low, and try to pin you against the wall. Go elsewhere. read more
First, part of the contract for using the company is writing a review. That's likely why you see so many reviews for the company. Anyways, so the way shipping cars apparently works is you have brokers, like AmeriFreight, and then companies that actually drive the car bid on transporting your car. So the initial quote that you get on the AmeriFreight website is just an estimate that doesn't factor in a bunch of different variables like demand and covid. I was quoted $860 or so and the first bid came in over $1,000. So I was like umm no. Then another came the morning the day before we were set to move closer to the original estimate. So I went with it. The AmeriFreight rep Keisha was great but there was no mentioning of a 5 day estimated arrival window. The car was supposed to come in on Friday or Saturday. It arrived on Tuesday because the truck broke down apparently. The window of days was written in the fine print said the rep who was rather snarky about it all. So sure. Whatever. During the move though, both AmeriFreight and the driver were hard to get a hold of. I waited like 6 hours for a callback one time. Ultimately, it was fine because I wasn't in a hurry and my car is over 10 years old. The car itself was just dusty and there were black smudges on the inside door upon delivery. Again whatever. Ultimately, the rep was great and price was fine. The service was slow and unreliable. The followup and managers were awful. read more

He seemed to be helpful. educating us about the business. got the paperwork, gave him what he needed. there was no talk of a broker fee. then he said they had a carrier and the price would be $1850. WTH? How did that happen? we were basically informed that, at $1037, less the $350 fee, that no one would do the job for that !. then WTH do they quote that? AND to make it more stressful... they (AF) wanted to ship the car to NEWARK NJ, not upstate NJ. (we don't know anyone in NEWARK and we were not about to drive 2 hours south to pick up a car with little notice). we sat on our butts and didn't look elsewhere b/c we thought ameri-freight was the company who could do this. went back and forth, WASTING TIME. All while on a graduation trip out of state for our son. Very stressful. then NEXT UP was a company called road runner (RR) who could apparently see "our job" on some posting board. (we were slowly understanding how this works. it's a centralized posting board). RR kept saying 'when ameri-freight - AF-fails you, contact us', so I did. I told AF (barry) that I was cancelling them. He (Barry) confirmed my cancellation. then AF CONTINUED to send me texts about some carrier that they had lined up. RR never even got back to me with a carrier. RR said I HAD FAILED (so... the customer messed up?) to cancel AF and it was basically my fault. WHAT A SMARMY BUSINESS. We finally found an honest, easy to work with company and got the car shipped. BEWARE of this and other companies. Do not upload your credit card via your phone, as I also got a "suspiciously timed" fraud charge on my card. Ultimately it cost $1595 to get this car shipped. the 3rd company only charged $195 broker fee. read more
Shipping a car across the country is not the easiest process. It is difficult to feel that you are getting the correct information and the companies can be quite aggressive in their pursuit of your business. I made a few mistakes as I began my research and I received emails and text offers for weeks. AmeriFreight was the company I chose based on some positive reviews that I found online. Overall, once I began working with Harry at AmeriFreight my confidence level in a positive outcome significantly increased. Overall Harry represented his company well and was open and up front about the process. Basically, they post an offer for your car shipment and then independent drivers accept that bid or make a counter offer. That plus the broker fee to AmeriFreight is your total charge. I shipped from San Diego, CA to Grand Rapids, MI and it was $1500. If you don't like the bid that you get, you can reject it and wait for a lower price. It isn't super cheap right now, so keep an open mind. They said what they did and did what they said. I paid a little more than I wanted, but it was within my target range and the car arrived on time and in one piece. I had a positive experience and would recommend Harry to anyone. read more

AmeriFreight shipped my car across the country and did a great job. The carrier they connected me with was professional and quick, especially for a more last minute move. Lecia explained the process to me multiple times and was helpful when I was getting stressed about time constraints. The one thing to be aware of is that the price they quote you at may not be the actual shipping price you end up paying. They post on a 'server' of sorts and then let you know when a shipping company makes a bid on your car. Mine ended up being almost $400 more than the quote price. Again, I think this was due to very last minute notice and not having time to bargain. Overall, the process was seamless and I would recommend AmeriFreight to someone who is looking to ship their car! read more

Reached out for a quote on 4/28, gave authorization to source on 5/2. I called multiple times after not hearing back about my car. It wasn't until the week of shipment (5/29) that I heard anything back, but it was only because I reached out. They continued to do business over the phone discussing prices through text but no official invoice/breakdown. The price they gave me over the phone was $400+ more than the original quote given. 24 hours prior to when I needed my car shipped, I still had no information on a carrier/contact information/confirmation of pickup date/address but they surely charged a $300+ deposit. I called again to ask about the possibility of a refund (because I was looking at other shipment companies due to the experience so far) and was told I would not be eligible for a refund on the deposit (and apparently it was on the contract that I didn't see) I was told that she'll send the carriers contact info in an email, the carriers info was blank in the email but she assured me everything was fine. I hung up confused only to received a call back 10 minutes later by the same woman saying that she scrolled down further on my profile and saw that the carrier assigned had cancelled their shipment with me therefore I was eligible for a refund. I quickly said yes to the refund and that followed up by emails offering a $186 discount if I came back and continued business with them (very tempting..). I do not recommend this company unless you're extremely flexible with dates and possible cancellations, I was not. Montway was able to take care of my needs. read more

Carvana was reassuring, helpful and available when we transported with AmeriFreight across 5 states! We were a private party and had never done this before and she answered all our frank questions and even got us a $100 discount! Will use this company again. read more

Fraudulent business model. They will charge you way more than they initially quote and will refuse to refund service once you put down a deposit. They do not care for you as a customer, and are extremely hard to reach once you put down a deposit as they no longer need to use their shady business tactics and speech since they have your money. Extremely untrustworthy company and I would look far far away with your money as they are glorified scam artists. read more

Order number: 1501612324-OR I went with Amerifreight because they were the first ones to contact me about shipping a car from Baltimore to San Diego and also the lowest in terms of price $925 was my quote. I contacted them a month in advance and they explained the entire process. Communication with Amerifreight was definitely 5 stars and the broker Samantha was fairly easy to get in touch with regarding any questions. I was constantly contacted by other brokers who wanted my business throughout the entire process and one even texted me that the price my car was listed for $750 was never going to get shipped. I don't work in this industry but my guess is Samantha had my car listed for $750 to get shipped and was trying to make a commission of $175. I don't have a problem with that however just days before my car needed to be shipped I was contacted by Samantha and told that they received an offer for $1050. I don't know if she was trying to make more of a commission or what happened but at this point I really didn't have much of a choice even though I gave her a 5 day time window to ship the car as requested. I was then told that I should take this offer because it's so close to the holidays and I may not receive any other bids. Had I known this would happen last minute like this I could have attempted to work with another broker and tried to get a better price because I had other brokers that offered to ship the car for as low as $950. I just felt a little taken advantage of last minute so be aware the price you are quoted is not likely the true cost it will be to ship your car. read more

Richard at Amerifreght was polite, helpful and willing to work with a crazy pickup schedule and location. He matched us with a driver that was beyond what we were expecting in quality. The turnaround was fast and the cars arrived in the same condition they left it. Cheers Richard. read more

I hate leaving a bad review but when you get an online quote for $790 and end up paying $1140 things do not add up. When asking why there seemed to be such a large difference between the online quoted price and what the offers I got from Lecia is that "in the contract it states that 33% of the time we don't get the offer quoted." I asked if this is an issue why not address this on the phone and she said most people don't read the contract. I don't appreciate the dishonesty with this and was forced into using this company as I needed my vehicle in my new city and this offer fit the timeline I needed. Disappointed in the lack of transparency when it came to getting a deal done. Driver was amazing! I do not want to dog him ADI Transport is legit and would them again just not from this joker of a broker! read more

I researched online, as I always do first when entering new territory. As a result, I then called AmeriFreight. Lecia assisted me in understanding what would be involved in shipping my car to my Mom in Maine, who needed a car within the next couple weeks. Lecia answered questions honestly about what would be involved, and I was confident in dealing with AmeriFreight. We confirmed some things by email and finished setting things up for her to search for a truck to transport my car. Lecia called me about a day later and had located a driver, but I was not able to get my car to the pickup location that soon. Lecia understood that and said she would keep looking for the next opportunity. Lecia called me again in a couple more days just to keep in touch and confirm she was still looking for a driver for us. Things had changed some at my end, and I told her there was a chance I wouldn't be shipping my car after all if we ended up buying a car for my Mom from someplace nearby to her. I told Lecia maybe she should put my request on hold until we figured things out. Lecia was very understanding and said to let her know when I wanted to reactivate my request. After several days, we determined my car was still going to be the best way of meeting their needs, so I called Lecia, and she picked up right where we left off and began looking again. The very next evening, on behalf of Lecia, George from AmeriFreight, called me with an offer to ship my car the next morning. The pickup and dropoff locations I had given for each end of the shipment would involve some travel for us but I had figured these would be fairly easy to access with a large truck and trailer. George told me right away that the driver's fee was a little more than their initial estimate of shipping costs, so I needed to decide if I wanted to do it or not. I considered the increase and asked if we could negotiate any closer delivery points to the pickup and dropoff locations I had originally chosen. I said I would be willing to pay the extra amount if the driver would pick up my car very close to my home and also deliver right to my Mom's home in Maine, since their current car had gotten very untrustworthy, even for short distances. This would save them and me together, almost 60 miles of driving to meet the truck, plus another driver and vehicle to get each of us to or from those locations. George called the driver, made our offer, and the driver agreed. We had a deal, I signed the contract and sent a scanned copy to George by email, and he provided the contact number of the driver so we could communicate directly as needed. The driver, DR Transport, called me and we arranged for pickup right from my home the next morning by 11AM and delivery right to my Mom's home sometime the following day. WOW. DR Transport's driver and an assistant came at 11am, took pictures and filled out a form noting some minor paint damage on my car (at 15 years old, with over 200,000 miles, it was in good shape for its years, but it wasn't "mint condition") and then they loaded it up on a single vehicle trailer. It was getting individual service all the way to Maine! I rested easy and was confident that AmeriFreight had done their homework and DR Transport would take good care of things. The driver and assistant were super nice guys and comfortable to deal with. They delivered the car to my Mom's home the next day, almost exactly when they had expected to arrive. The car was unloaded and inspected by both parties, payment was made, forms signed and provided to my Mom, and the whole process was finished. I admit that my greatest concerns had to do with letting a car I've trusted for so long be put in the hands of total strangers and go off down the highway. But honestly, by dealing with AmeriFreight, my concerns were alleviated and I rested easy about it. They handled my private information responsibly, put in time searching (TWICE,) located a responsible driver, informed me of everything I would need to do, cautioned me about things I shouldn't do, and didn't just disappear once I had paid my deposit and shipped my car, instead following up after the fact to make sure all was well. And to think, I was seriously thinking of driving all the way to Maine myself and then flying home. I would have lost a few days time and work, probably some sleep, and added another 900 miles on the car, not to mention leaving some family and home responsibilities to others to others during my absence. I give AmeriFreight and DR Transport A+ marks and if I have to ship again, I'll just call AmeriFreight, have them check with DR Transport first, and then just relax and then let them set it up for me. This was WAY easier than I would have thought read more

Ok, So the first thing you need to know is how this business works. There are truckers throughout the US who make regular runs. Depending on how busy they are and the location of your vehicle, THAT ...and only that is what sets your price. There are a ton of brokers who post the opportunity (your request for pickup and delivery). The truckers all scan the same posts and then choose the cars they pickup based on the price you are willing to pay and if it fits their route. One day a truck might go cross country for $1,200, the next week if the same trucker is busy, it might cost you $1,800. The brokers have absolutely no say on what the truckers will take. It is 100% the decision of the trucker. Brokers who offer less prices are just trying to get you locked in and then up the price. If by the unlikely chance there is a truck who is willing to take their lower price, then you possibly would get that rate. That's a dice throw and you don't want to end up with a guy in a pickup truck with a shoddy car trailer hauling your late model luxury car. If not, you will wait as long as it takes for you to get a legit truck to take your offer, or, as they all do, the broker will call you back after a few days and tell you that you have to pay more. So what makes Sam at AmeriFreight better than everyone else?..because she is an honest woman who gave it to me straight from the start. I had plenty of time with this car, so we initially posted the offer relatively cheap. Sam was completely honest with me on how we might get lucky but if we didn't get a quality taker on the price within a few days, we may have to up our offer. Sam was awesome with her communication and was willing to discuss options at any time. After 4 days, we decided to raise our offer slightly. Mind you, she could have come back with a higher number than we ultimately offered and guaranteed her comission but instead she was looking out for my best interest and upped it a little at a time. So after a week we put out a slightly higher number and got a taker within a few days. Mind you, everything is flexible when you are trying to get the best price, so unless you want to pay top dollar, which will pretty much get you your car EXACTLY when you want it, then you have to be flexible. They picked up the car the next day and said the trip from Fresno CA to CT would be around 7 days. Turns out the car was picked up by a local hauler who brought it to Southern CA for the long haul truckers. It sat there for a few days but then a wonderful guy named Steve and his wife picked it up. The dispatcher co-ordinated the pickup and Steve and I talked two days before delivery to schedule an exact pickup location and time. The car ended up taking around 10 days from the initial Fresno, CA pickup point Fairfield, CT drop off, but having good communication made the whole thing go like clockwork. My suggestion is to save yourself a lot of headaches and go with the AmeriFreight company. Be sure to ask for Sam and her team. Tell them you read this review and want the straight story. Then take their advice when they give it to you. FYI, they don't take their commission until your car is scheduled for pickup! Most of the negative reviews in this business are because of the hustle the brokers give you and you always feel like you are being lied to and upsold. This was a great experience. Last, Don't believe any reviews you read other than on Yelp. All of the others are untruthful paid reviews that the companies put up themselves. Check the difference between their reviews and Yelp's and you'll find the truth. And don't pay attention to the cry baby's who don't understand this business and complain about things they didn't ask about or clarify on their own. Jon read more

We moved from Utah to New Hampshire for employment. I was certain that I was not going to drive my family and cars across the country given that I only had a short window between terminating one job and beginning the next. I sought out all methods of having our two cars transported to New Hampshire. Doing web searches, talking with friends and colleagues, I quickly became discouraged. There was no guidance and it seemed that many companies turned out to be frauds. I read that companies were paying to have positive reviews posted, others were fakes and some simply outsourced the job to un-knowledgeable third parties. I became so distraught that I looked into rail transport and other means. However, none of these were available to our destination. I began making calls and receiving quotes from many companies online. I finally stumbled on AmeriFreight via the BBB. I sent them an email and actually received a call from a PERSON, Graham. He was very knowledgeable, honest and friendly. He helped me understand the process of auto transport and clearly explained his role in the process. He made no false promises and I felt that I was speaking to a real, honest person. That, along with the reviews I read, made me contract with AmeriFreight. Graham clearly explained to me the different options for shipping my cars: covered or not, closer pick-up times and protection/insurance options. He worked with me on my tight moving schedule and we agreed on a pick-up window. Well in advance to that window, he found me Green Way LLC Transport, who agreed to move our two cars. I have a small SUV and a passenger car. Green Way was on the spot in communication and professionalism. All along the way, Graham from AmeriFreight kept in touch and ensured that my communication and interaction with Green Way was on target. The day prior to pick up, we actually had to change the pick up location by 30 miles. There was no problem in contacting AmeriFreight and Green Way short notice and they agreed to meet us at a new location. The pick up went smooth, professional and was right on time. Along the transport, we kept in touch with the carrier and with AmeriFreight. No issues. Our cars arrived right on the day promised. We actually were not able to pick up the cars on the delivery day and AmeriFreight and the carrier arranged for our cars to be stored for two more days. For pick-up, we were again accommodated beyond the call of duty, having the storage person come out and meet us to hand over our cars two hours after their closing time. In summary, I am simply amazed by the professionalism, honesty and overall accomplishment of AmeriFreight, and Graham specifically. Our cars were dealt with perfectly, we were accommodated beyond the call of duty and there were absolutely no surprises or issues. There was no damage to the cars, delivery was on time, communication was honest and professional. We were always aware where the cars were, could always get with touch with AmeriFreight and the Carrier, and had absolute peace of mind while our cars were under way. Price was very reasonable and right on par with other quotes. Our final price even included two days of storage after arrival on location. I highly recommend AmeriFreight and only wish it would have been easier to find our about them in the first place. I hope that my review will help convince you of using them for your transport needs. I would be happy to answer any questions. read more

AmeriFreight was recommended by a friend who had good luck with them. This was not my case. They put me in contact with Aztrans, my carrier, and the whole experience has left me with a bad taste in my mouth. AmeriFreight first tried to tell me that the cost of my shipment would be $100 more than the quote that I received online -- something that my friend also experienced. However, after haggling with them (which I would have preferred NOT to do) they agreed to honor the online quote. Regarding shipping, I was originally told that the car would be picked up on a particular date. However, last minute, that date was moved several days earlier. This wasn't horrible, but it was inconvenient. Then the real problems began. I repeatedly told AmeriFeright that I would not arrive at my destination until later that month. They told me that the carrier would keep my car at their lot and that all I had to do was PAY for a cab to go pick it up. I thought this service was supposed to be easy? Door-to-door? Why should I take the time and pay the additional money to pickup my car 15 miles away? Thus, AmeriFreight agreed that the car could be kept at the carrier's lot ("for free" they said, trying to make me feel privileged) until my date of arrival. Unfortunately, the day I arrived at my destination, I soon found that one of the Aztrans drivers was keeping my car at his HOUSE and that the keys to my car were IN his house. This meant that I could not pickup my car even if I wanted to pay for a cab. Further, the driver was out of town for the week and I would therefore not be able to receive my car until his return. Managing without a car for a week meant that I had several additional expenses which I now had to pay for out of pocket. Both AmeriFreight and Aztrans refused any sort of discount given the late delivery, unprofessional treatment, and additional out of pocket expenses. Finally, after filling up my car with gas for the first time since receiving it, I noticed that the gas flap releasing mechanism was broken (the metal inside was bent, was being used to keep the flap attached to the car, and additional pieces of metal inside the flab were broken off entirely). Since I didn't fill up WITHIN 48 hrs of receiving the car, the insurance coverage that I purchased through AmeriFreight is totally worthless. Overall, a bad experience. I would not do it again. Unprofessional all around. Try your luck elsewhere. read more

In the past five years, I've had cars shipped from the East Coast to the West Coast, and from the Pacific Northwest to Southern California. I never had a very bad experience but a few times there were inconvenient delays without good reason, some surly customer service, and none of the service providers ever stood out a being notably superior to the others. When it came time to select a transport company to ship my car across country to my mother, I wanted to be certain I hired a company with a great reputation for delivering upon promises, providing outstanding customer servie and support, and charging reasonable rates with no hidden fees. After a few research sessions, a few conversations with various providers, and soliciting a handful of quotes, I settled upon AmeriFreight, a company with which I had not worked before. From my initial electronic communications and phone calls with Jessica Ferris, I knew I had made the best choice. She is the consummate professional, direct and honest, and always quite courteous. The quote she sent me was accurate and honored throughout. No hidden or surprise charges here. Throughout the whole experience, she called or wrote to update me and check in on me, connected me with the local driver who was also very courteous, and she ensured things revolved around my schedule, not theirs. Jessica and AmeriFreight knew how important this particular shipment was to me because it is a gift for my mother and I wanted it to arrive on time in exactly the condition I shipped it, and equally important I wanted anyone who contacted my Mom to be polite, helpful, and kind. Jessica ensured all those goals were met. My Mom told me this morning that the car arrived exactly as the driver promised and he was very nice to her. I had sent my Mom over a dozen photos of the car taken the day it was picked up, and she said it's in exactly the same condition. The first estimate I got from Jessica was it will be picked up on either May 6 or 7 and arrive 10 days later. It was picked up on May 6 and arrived on May 10. Jessica sent me a note, too, to let me know it had arrived and to ask if everything was okay. Yes, Jessica, it certainly is! Next time I need to ship a car, and every time after that, I will hire AmeriFreight again and that is due in large part to Jessica. Thank you, Jessica, in all sincerity for taking care of something very important to me. YOU ARE TRULY WONDERFUL!!! read more

I needed to ship my 2015 Honda CR-V from Virginia to California by Jan 6, 2016. In the beginning of Nov 2015, Graham gave me an estimated quote of $830. I found this price was much lower than other auto-shipping company, so I paid the deposit $290 and they started to find the driver for me. Until the middle of December, I still haven't heard anything from Graham and I began to worry if they really could get me a driver before Jan 6, 2016. So I called Graham and he promoised that I would be his top priority. He indeed fulfilled his promise and found a driver for me (CAA transport) within one week after I called him. The driver asked $950 for delivery fee, so now the total cost would be $290 + $950 = $1240, which was much higher than the original estimation ($830) from Graham. I was not sure if this "price suddently jumped" was normal in this business or I was being tricked. Frankly speaking, the price of $1240 actually lied in the range from the quote of other auot-shipping companies ($1200 ~ $1300), so I did not see what kind of advantage I would gain if I kept going with AmeriFreight. However, I was in a hurry to get the car shipped so I still accepted their offer. The pick up date was set to be Dec 25, 2015 and they said the car would arrive in California before Jan 6, 2016. However, I told them in the beginning the car had to be delivered after Jan 6, 2016. Otherwise, I could not get my car in person (my flight was Jan 6, 2016). Fortunately, they checked with CAA transport and CAA transport agreed to hold my car and wait for my arival. The CAA transport did deliver my car on time on Jan 7th, 2016 and finally I felt relieved after getting my car. To conclude, I think AmeriFreight did get the job done in time. However, I do have the following suggestions for them. 1. Avoid "the final price suddently jumping so high compared to the original quote" 2. Pay more attention to the customer's requests in the beginning. Do not let the customer to remind you. 3. Keep interacting with the early-booked customers with emails or phone calls to let them know you did not forget them, especially when the pick up date is approaching. I look forward to seeing AmeriFreight becoming a 5-star rating company and shine in the future! read more

TL, DR: AmeriFreight is awesome, and I will use them forever. So here's the thing: I ship cars that I really care about cross-country every three years. I'm not a collector, nor a dealer, nor a broker. I'm a US Army Soldier with a wife and teenaged daughters. Every two-to-three years, my duty station changes, and we have to get our small fleet of vehicles from one state to another. So I have a lot of experience with car shippers, but, unlike a business that does it professionally, I care passionately about the cars I load on the truck. They're not for some buyer at the destination, they are _my_ cars, and I want them to arrive quickly and in great condition, because I and my family will be driving them. They're like old friends to us. AmeriFreight is, hands-down, the best and most professional car shipper I have retained. Their paperwork is simple and self-explanatory, their prices are reasonable, and they do exactly what they say they will do: move your car quickly and safely from origin to destination. What I really, really love about them, though, and what has made me a customer for life, is their ability to communicate with the customer. AmeriFreight kept me informed at every stage of the transaction. Their e-mails arrived promptly, they kept to their communication schedule (if they told me they'd get back to me the next day, they got back to me the next day), they made sure I knew who I was talking to and why when my case was referred from one employee to another, and, miracle of miracles, when I called them, a real human being answered the phone, demonstrated familiarity with my shipment, and ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS. The driver showed up at exactly the right spot, bang on time, and treated my car with respect and care as he unloaded it from the truck. He was scrupulous about the post-shipping inspection, and gave me a receipt without prompting. The entire process went smoothly, and I am extremely satisfied with the result. The next time I ship one of my cars (and there certainly will be a next time, alas), I'm calling AmeriFreight. They're offering me a $50.00 discount to post this review, but I would've done it anyway. With customer service this good, they deserve to prosper. read more

You know how broker's talk your ear off and promise you the world when all you want is a reasonable estimate and whether they will be a good match for your service need? Then I'd recommend calling Sinclair at Amerifreight. I called this company because they were toward the top of the list for long distance car transport. I had the luck of Sinclair picking up when I called. He was friendly and indormative but not overtly so, like those saccharine brokers who coddle you and are sunshine and roses but walk away before the ink has even dried on the contract. We had to ship two cars, but on seperate dates. I explained my situation to him about how the date for shipping my car was flexible but the other vehicle had to be guaranteed on a certain day. He was quick to understand the situation and explained the process from start to finish and once I understood the process, we worked out an arrangement that suited my cars needs and requirements and also took a huge weight off my shoulders. Sinclair went above and beyond to find me the best driver and accommodations I required. After updating me on an offer, I declined and he was intuitive enough to know not to reach out if the offer was not close to my price range. Since we are moving, time is 9f the essence and he did not waste any by calling unnecessarily, and went the extra mile to explain my situation to the driver so they would accommodate my pickup time and date and also got the driver to agree to a lower price. All of this was taken care of and all I had to do was eaign a few documents and have a couple pleasant phone callswith Sinclair. Once he obtained a a reputable driver, she texted me instantly and took things from there. My car arrived on time and in great condition. Sinclair called me occasionally to give me updates on the status of my vehicle, which was very much appreciated,. He calmed me down the first time we spoke and I'm a bit of a control freak so for me to put my trust.in him to handle 95% of the situation, is no easy feat. He was always reassuring when I had questions or concerns. I wish I found him earlier so I didn't have to deal with the stress of pre shipping jitters. Thanks for everything Sinclair, truly. read more

Thank you Jordan, Thank you AmeriFrieght! First, incentive or not to post a review doesn't mean the review has to positive, just honest. I am honestly happy and satisfied with my entire experience working with AmeriFrieght. I had anxiety just thinking about the logistics of getting my car from California to Connecticut. My car is very important to me as it is with most folks. I started surfing the net and became overwhelmed with all the companies that transport vehicles. I asked people I knew to try and get "word of mouth" referrals. Got a few with low BBB ratings. Back to the net. Called around and got some quotes. Some were too low (made me nervous, as it should), some too high. Time was running out for my dead line for my transportation needs. Studied theTransport Review site one last time and decided to call Jordan. Very pleasant to work with. So glad I trust my "gut"! A+ BBB rating. Any negative review was handled. Price was fair. All questions answered. Jordan was very patient, professional and courteous. The gentleman who drove the truck was very nice and professional. Needless to say it was smooth sailing or should I say rolling all the way... They did everything they said they would. The timing, the tracking, the constant communication. I am very happy that I can recommend a good solid transport co. to others. That they will be able to rest assured as I was. read more

We started the car transport process back in May with another company. My dad wanted my son to have my mom's 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis. Dad lived in Pennsylvania, we are in Arizona. Being 82 years young, my dad wanted an honest company who stood behind their work, was on time, and showed up when they said they would show. With that said, we contracted with a company to move the car in June. The car was ready June 23, 2014. The business we first contracted with prided itself for its quick turnover (1-7 days, not the industy standard of 7-14 days). I was thrilled. Our quote was affordable (but as I later learned not competitive), so our car sat. Trying to call the company was fruitless; lots of left messages on answering machines. A total lack of communication and how the car transport business works. Totally unprofessional. My father became increasingly frustrated as well waiting on a driver to pick up the car. So with that, I called another company. They were vey nice, and they explained the car transport system to me. It was refreshing. I decided to network through the BBB (Better Business Bureau). AmeriFreight was right up there on their recommended companies. Right from the start, Ali Miller explained the entire process, apologized for other companies nasty business practices, and told me what I needed to do to have AmeriFreight move my vehicle. She posted my quote, got an interested driver (Thanks BEST and Hector!!), coordinated the car move, and kept me posted on every aspect of that move. I knew when the vehicle would be picked up, what my dad needed to do, and when the car might be delivered. Ali helped me contact the driver and the company, and it all ended up great. The car took 6 days to travel from Pennsylvania to Arizona. The driver Hector could not have been nicer to my dad and I. If you want a great experience with a company who care about how they did and what you thought, give AmeriFreight a call. Thank you, thank you Ali Miller. Our family is so very appreciative. read more

My parents moved back to the US from overseas and they needed their vehicle shipped from western NY to Texas. I have never transported a vehicle before and know absolutely nothing about how the industry works. I, like everyone else, submitted a request to a couple sites and was inundated with quotes, phone calls, and texts that ranged from $600 to $3,000. Without knowing much, I jotted down some numbers and called a couple carriers back in the hopes of learning something. I ended up not trusting anyone I spoke to because info was all over the place. I was more confused than when I started. Then I found the Transport Reviews website. I joined, ran a quick search, and decided to make phone calls to the top 5 rated companies. AmeriFreight came in way under everyone else cost wise. I was very skeptical at first because the rate was so darn low, so I went to their website and was pleasantly surprised at how professional it is. It has loads of good information for the novice such as myself. I took a shot, called and got hooked up with Brett. He was very patient in answering all of my questions and emails. I did go ahead and make those other 4 phone calls. Only one other company was as pleasant to deal with, but their rate was $500 more for the exact same service. So, I booked using the J-tracker feeling rather proud of myself. About 5 days later, Brett called and they already had a carrier. The rate was $200 higher than originally quoted, but I was not surprised as it is spelled out clearly in the confirmation email that rates can be re-negotiated depending on the carrier but they will be confirmed prior to pick up. Having said that, even at the higher rate, AmerFreight was STILL cheaper than anyone else by at least $300!!! The vehicle arrived 8 days later in perfect condition. I would not hesitate to use AmerFreight again. Kudos for being a different breed of auto transporter in what is seemingly a dog pile of mutts. read more

Robin L. Classy company moves classic truck! This was my first experience hiring a shipper to move a vehicle. I was very concerned after reading horror stories on the internet about bad shipping companies. I was most certainly concerned since I was shipping a 1971 Chevy C-10 Pick-up in original condition from the West coast to the East coast. After searching Google for a few weeks I settled on Amerifreight for their quick response to my quote request, price, and positive reviews. Jessica was my contact and she answered all questions and responded promptly via phone and email. In fact even one day I sent an email to Jessica and I received an "out of office" message back. I called the office and they said she was out sick that day, but she still responded to my email within a couple of hours. Now that is dedication! Back to moving the truck, I selected the economy package to save money. Jessica stated it may take 5 to 7 days before the truck would be scheduled to be picked up and the truck was picked up on day 7! Even though the Memorial Day holiday was in the middle, the truck was loaded for delivery as promised. I was very pleasantly surprised, when the truck made its journey successfully from San Diego, California to Newark, Delaware in just 4 days. No damage on the truck. The driver, Nazarius from New Empire Brothers called me called various time to keep me up to date of when he would be delivering the truck. Since he was arriving late night, he gave us options of where and when he could deliver the truck. The truck was pretty dirty, but I expected that because I went with the Open Transport. I found out that Nazarius had to move my truck on the transport during the journey and had to jumpstart it, but he did not charge me extra for that. An all-around great experience... I'd use Amerifreight again. read more

It is very important to understand the system that Amerifreight uses prior to shipping with them. Amerifreight does not ship directly, they are merely a middle man service to link you up with direct shippers. This means that they can't have direct control over the quality or timing of the shipping process. They do, however, attempt to do so by ensuring that all shippers are insured (which is good), as I had one back out because they didn't want to produce those documents. The price you get quoted first will likely not be what you pay in the end, especially if you pick a longer timeframe and cheaper option. You are given a couple of options/timeframes or "packages", and the shippers sort of "bid" on them. They likely know they can get more, so expect to pay $100-400 more than the lowest quote. If you pay the highest rate from the getgo, you can probably get a fast shipment, otherwise if you try to save money it may take time and not be on your most desired schedule. That being said, mine took longer and was more expensive than expected. The shipper did not show up on the first day, and arrived a little later than expected for delivery as well. The car, however, was in good shape (it was a classic car, so this was very important to me), and in the end that is what mattered more than the time to me, in this particular instance. If I needed the car faster it would have been more frustrating. The Amerifreight staff seem great and very helpful and responsive. Just understand that you will pay more than your initial quote, there are VERY HIGH credit card fees in addition to that charge, and that Amerifreight doesn't ship it themselves. In summary, their service feels slightly misleading, but in the end work out-- just at a higher price, in my case about $200+$100 credit card fees. read more

I recently relocated from North Carolina to Pennsylvania, and my new employer was going to pay for the move. However, the local moving company who was contracted with my employer was unwilling to discount the price for shipping my 2002 Hyundai Elantra. That meant I would have to pay out-of-pocket for a portion of the move. After putting a large down payment on a new house in Philly, I didn't have the extra cash on hand to do that. So, after reading numerous laudatory reviews of AmeriFreight online, I spoke to Jessica, who gave me a quote of $495 for economy, open-truck shipping. Jessica also explained that there was an option to allow carriers to bid up to $200 more, if time was of the essence, which it was for me. Within an hour of speaking with Jessica, who was very professional and fully explained what to expect with the bidding & shipping process, we had a carrier bid for $650. That was still very acceptable because it was about HALF as much as the original moving company had quoted me. The carrier was IKA Group LLC, and my contact person was a friendly gentleman named Eldari. Both Jessica and Eldari were consistently available by phone, text, and/or email throughout the shipping process. Because the carrier beat me on the way up to Philly, I had to go meet Eldari in Bensalem, PA (15 miles outside of Philly) to pick up my Hyundai in the "yard." The yard was very dusty and dirty, because of high-traffic tractor trailors using dirt roads and dirt parking lots, but my car started fine and did not appear to be damaged during shipping. In sum, if you want to save hundreds of dollars by avoiding the inflated prices of name-brand, contracted movers, then do what I did...CALL JESSICA at AmeriFreight! Phone Direct: 678-608-0557. I have never shipped a car before so I didn't know what to do. I put a request online for quotes and I was immediately inundated with a barrage of quotes. Ameri-Freight was actually one of the first. I decided to check the top shipping companies by Google and according to the BBB, AmeriFreight was in the top 5. So I called them up. I actually needed to ship out the car fairly quickly as I was going to be taking a new job in California within 10 days. AmeriFreight said the earliest would be the 24th with 7-8 days shipping. So, I figured I'd rent a car for a couple days. Well, after submitting my deposit, a couple hours later I received a call about picking up my car on the 21st and that it would be there on the 26th when I arrived. I met the transporter at the local grocery store parking lot, he loaded the car, and it was in LA when I arrived. I plan to use AmeriFreight again when my wife moves to LA in a month. The one thing I was not expecting was that I would need to pay the auto transporter in cash the day of pickup. I thought I would pay the money to AmeriFreight and then they would pay the auto transporter. Nope. To me, this raised red flags. I don't know if that's because of my upbringing in this generation that just uses credit cards all the time or something else. It would have been nice to have been told this initially before I started the payment process. However, I did some more research after the fact and auto transporters do only take cash or money order as standard practice. My worries were eliminated. I ended up paying with a money order. I arrived in LA, picked up my car after some problems with the auto transporter (they gave me the wrong address), and I am now driving my beautiful Orange Challenger around LA. I will use again. read more

This is a review for AmeriFreight and Erica who works there (order No. 1501708008-JC). First I have to say the whole Auto Transport in general is a very "scummy" industry. Too many rip-off brokers saying they will do something for you and end up just stealing your deposit. And the too many transport companies that say they will be there and either cancel on you or not show up at all without notice. Also, any quote you receive is the least amount you will pay and not the most likely amount you will end of paying. So after reading many reviews I decided to go with AmeriFreight. I got my quote (least amount, which AmeriFreight was upfront about) and we were off and running. Erica and AmeriFreight started doing their thing and after telling her the date parameters (pickup & arrival) I needed to work with the fun started. There were a couple of small missteps along the way which were caused by the transport companies having issues, not AmeriFreight, but finally we were able to get everything done on time and the whole pickup & delivery couldn't have gone more smoothly. Erica updated my file with notes, which any of her other co-workers could inform me about when I called and Erica was unavailable. I appreciated that. I ended up paying about $100 more than my least amount original quote and I'm actually glad I did. I'm guessing I ended up with one of the best, most reliable transport companies in the business getting my car from South Florida to North Georgia in less than 24 hours. I ended up paying 180 (credit card) to AmeriFreight after they had the job scheduled and 455 (cash) to the transport company when they showed up with the car. Thanks Erica and AmeriFreight. read more

Journey of myCamery from San Diego to Portland, OR, overall its good. My Car had to move from San Diego to Portland, OR when I contacted Amerifright, Graham told me the fact that they are a brokerage company for vehicle transportation and they link up actual carrier and me for this movement. I was told that there is a carrier available either next day or the 2days from now and the delivery would require a minimum of 3-4 days for 1600 miles distance. As I need car for 2 more days, but I thought the car would be in portland by the time I reach there I have chosen to get my car picked next days and it will be 3 days by the time in portland to pick my car. The car was picked by CSA Auto carrier at 1AM the next day by Garik (driver) we quickly finished the paper work and he said car will be delivered to me in portland in 3-4 days. I reached portland on third days and took a rental car for 2 days just in case if myCamery is delayed. I was contacted Garik after 3day regarding the delivery time and he said he is stuck with some other car delivery and he will be there in 5-6 hrs on 4th day. And I called him on 5th days again and he said he will be there by afternoon that day and I was hopeful I can return my car as I took it for 2days. However the car was delivered to me in the evening at 10PM on 5th day in good shape. It was dusty due to rain as told by Garik but it was in same shape as it was picked. Though I had to pay for my rental car an extra day of rent. I was glad that car reached me in 5days as it is in same condition. So overall I give them a Good rating for this satisfactory service. read more

Very good experience overall. Ali Miller was great to work with. She was friendly and helpful each time I spoke with her on the phone. It took more than 15 days for her to find a carrier but she contacted me within that time and kept me posted. She changed the pick-up location to a larger city nearby which worked because she found a carrier shortly afterwards. It took approximately three weeks. The cost to transport my truck came to more than the original quote but was within the average cost from other quotes that I had received. The truck had to be driven to a location different from the address it was located at. A little inconvenient as I had to have family members coordinate with the carrier and drive the vehicle to where the carrier wanted to meet since I had already left the area. All-in-all the pickup went well. The carrier delivered the truck in six days which was sooner than I had expected. The truck arrived fine, no damage. The only thing to mention was it had oil on the top and right side of the truck. Not sure if it came from the vehicle above it during transport, but thats what it appeared to look like. It took a little scrubbing but I was able to clean it off and the truck looks fine. I would definitely recommend AmeriFreight to anyone looking to transport a vehicle. Just keep in mind they are a broker and not the company who actually hauls your vehicle, but they do appear to be selective in the carriers they use. I would definitely use them again if I had to transport another vehicle. read more

I got so lucky. I had no idea where to start as this was our first time having a car shipped cross country. I searched the internet and AmeriFreight's name kept popping up as the best company to use. I read the 5 star reviews and decided to try the company. I couldn't have been any luckier picking AmeriFreight. They were incredibly responsive right from the start. They assigned me a personal consultant and he answered every one of my thousand and one questions. He was very patient and thorough. He informed me of the entire process and helped me plan out the move. Even though we were in different time zones, someone was always available to answer my questions. They gave me an official quote (it was very competitive compared to the 3 others I called) and amazingly the final cost was lower than the quote. We ran into trouble since the car was in a gated community both upon pickup and delivery (I didn't think about the truck not being to get in and out of the gate) but they helped us through every aspect of this snafu. The car arrived without a scratch and sooner than we had expected. We are thrilled with the service and professionalism of this company. We will definitely recommend them to our friends and use them again if we ever need them. I highly recommend that you speak to AmeriFreight! Our order number was 1501599105-XH if you need to verify that we are truly customers. The company followed up with us afterwards to make sure all our needs were met. Very impressive! read more

This company is AWFUL. I would never recommend to anyone. I was quoted $1125 for a trip from NH to GA which was far more than the three other carriers I spoke with. I chose to go with another company that charged me $300 less and was nothing but pleasant. When I explained my situation to them they said this company AmeriFreight is known for price gouging and bad business practice. Shocker. When I told AmeriFreight I was going to use a different company they told to me they would be keeping my $225 deposit even though they were not rendering any services. I explained to them that over a month ago I decided against using them and would be going with a less expensive carrier and was confused as to why they had even posted my vehicle when I was contracted with another carrier. The manager never got on the phone and their customer service rep Samantha Smith hung up on me when I said I would be forced to dispute with my bank. Clearly the sales reps make a commission and are not looking out for the customers best interest, just their own pockets. I have NEVER heard of a company keeping such a large deposit when they have done nothing for you, or explained that this is their business practice. I am shocked at the lack of professionalism and their blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. My bank has assured me that this will be taken care of but would have been a heck of a lot easier to have had AmeriFreight do right by me and just refund my deposit in the first place. read more
