The HVAC unit on my small commercial building needed to be replaced so I called 3 companies to get…read morean estimate for a new unit. I chose to deal only with companies who would provide a free estimate. I arranged for an estimate from Western Mechanical and was told nothing about a fee, or I wouldn't have had them come out. It took over a week to get an appointment. Then on the appointed day, the tech called looking for my location in Rio Rancho where he was sent by their dispatch, even though my building is in downtown Albuquerque. It was another week before they rescheduled at the correct location, and when they did, instead of the requested estimate the tech did a hasty unauthorized repair on my unit and charged me $198.49. Since no fees or repairs were authorized, I made multiple calls to Western to question the charge but could not get past the receptionist to talk to anyone and was put on endless holds. Only after receiving a threat to be sent to collections, was I finally able to speak to accounts payable. They claimed they had informed me of the fee in advance, which is completely untrue as I would not have agreed to it, and were unwilling to budge on the charge which I never authorized. If you choose to work with Western Mechanical, beware of hidden fees and be sure to get all costs in writing up front.

When I started searching for help with a 20-year-old HVAC system with outdoor AC unit…read morenon-functional for 2 years, everyone else immediately said "replace". Glenn (owner) was the only one who took time in his replies to help me check a few things to verify that it was not a simple fix. That impressed me. We decided to replace the system, it was obsolete and had multiple serious issues. Glenn helped us choose the perfect system, and at the busiest time of the year, managed to fit us into the schedule. Efraín did a beautiful installation inside and out, with custom sheet metal work to make a perfect fit. The system is fantastic and the price was unbeatable. They'll even show me how to do the annual maintenance myself, instead of trying to sign me up to a service that I won't need. That's integrity. Efraín is the lead technician, has 21 years experience, and is a perfectionist. That is evident in his attention to detail and refusal to give up if there is still an unresolved issue. This house had a long-standing issue with modified drains and plumbing vents that had defied diagnosis, but Efraín would not give up. He solved the mystery that no one else had, finding a vent that had been mistakenly cut and capped long ago. Jake is a young technician learning from the master, and he is very hard working and thorough. They reconstructed that vent and restored the function of those drains. They did a magnificent job and left the house feeling renewed and loved. All the while, I was asking questions about anything and everything, and Efraín did not mind answering them and helping me learn how to care for things going forward. I do love this house and it matters to me who works on it and the energy they bring. Glenn, Efraín and Jake brought a degree of care, compassion, and expertise that gave me tremendous peace of mind. They will be my first call for any and all plumbing or HVAC needs.

They did a very good job (excellent workmanship). We will gladly use them again for other HVAC or plumbing issues. But again, the quality was good, and we will happily use them again.

I am sure she is very busy, but she took the time to get Octavio out ASAP to fix my air. I appreciate this as I have had breathing issues and go to the doctors more than I am at home. Octavio is old school. A very nice gentleman who works hard and gets to the root of the problem. He is clean, kind and respectful. May I add that he is not weird. I always have my son with me as there have been some real odd people doing repairs. Octavio is very normal. Thank God. We enjoyed talking with Octavio and would highly recommend Fix Right and Octavio. Thank-you, so much. Carol even said, if you have any issues, please let us know. Could not ask for more!!!

I was very grateful that Danial and team was able to diagnose the issues with my minisplits quick! BakerHouse Service Co…read more We contacted Daniel at BakerHouse Service Co for A/C servicing Jan 21, and Daniel scheduled us for next day, Feb 22. We have been here 6 years and the house is 18 years. We've never had our A/C, furnaces, and fireplaces checked so we were doing preventative maintenance and ensuring our systems are not producing carbon monoxide. Daniel got on our roof and checked both A/C units. We had a broken switch, broken contact, and 3 capacitors that were below spec. Replaced with new parts and both units working properly. We also requested to check both of our furnaces. No carbon monoxide and again capacitors below spec, replaced and both units working properly. Daniel checked both gas fireplaces, no carbon monoxide and he showed us on how to turn them both on. Lastly Daniel drained our water heater. We are very pleased with Daniel's work. We are greatly relieved that our major HVAC systems, fireplaces, and water heater are all working great and we are grateful we now have an honest and very capable HVAC systems contractor we can rely on. Regardless of the season we are prepared. Thank you, Cynthia & Bob

When we set out to install a completely different heating and cooling system in our home, we wanted…read moreto feel comfortable that the investment we were making was a good one. So we investigated mini-split heat pump technology. Mitsubishi and Fujitsu seem to be the leading producers of these energy-efficient systems. We asked for competitive bids from two sources and awarded the work to Williams Mechanical, LLC of Albuquerque, a family-owned heating, cooling and plumbing business. We're glad we did. From our initial meeting with owner Annette Meier and Comfort Consultant & Install Manager Mike Mollica until our project was completed, we were delighted with the friendly and professional bearing of everyone who worked on the installation. At the same time, we also elected to replace our elderly 50-gallon water heater. It was installed in a single day. As part of the changeover to the mini-split system. Williams removed our two evaporative coolers (which they donate to the needy) and sealed the roof openings. Because our Pueblo style home features several different roof levels, it presented unique challenges for the Williams installers. They dealt with them carefully and professionally. Throughout the process, our questions were answered courteously and patiently, noise and disruption were minimized, and cleanup was done daily. Brett, Alex, Anthony, others -- all were great to work with. In short, Williams Mechanical met or exceeded all our expectations. We recommend them highly. David & Beth Wiley
