I had them scheduled to install a guard on our metal garage. The techs are freaking awesome. He noticed a few things out of place and took care of it. They were in and out in no time. I've noticed they are sometimes booked out up to a couple of weeks out and it makes sense. They do an awesome job and provide great customer service from the receptionist, estimator and install crew!

They didn't show up, at 9 am I called and left a message on their machine to not bother rescheduling as I would find someone else as if they don't show up to do the work and collect the money what would the experience be if there was a problem. At 1 p.m. I heard noises outside and there were four Puerto Rican guys with ladders and on my roof. I immediately called their number and then went outside while I was waiting for someone to answer. I asked the guys why they were there and they said they were replacing gutters, i told them that they were not to be on the property and were trespassing and that I had advised their office that I did not want them there. They started to rant in Spanish and one guy went up on my roof and I told them all to leave, he came down after about 2 minutes, and they left. As they were packing up one guy ranted "we don't want to do your fucking house anyway". Another said "fuck you". The guy on the phone who called himself Nick made a big point to say his crew would be Mexican guys and that he did not use Puerto Ricans, this is why I mention that the crew was Puerto Rican. I see in a review by Liana that she said the guy was combative and hostile, this is very true, I felt threatened as if I were to need to call the police. I see in the reviews that Nancy C. said they were hostile and annoyed, this is true, this guy who shows up and leads these destructive workers is dangerous. I cannot imagine if he showed up and behaved the way he did at my house for a woman or elderly person. I am a big guy and these thugs had me frightened and ready to call the police. They are THUGS. DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE! It rained that evening and the roof began to leak in the back room where there is a flat roof. The roof did not leak prior to their arrival as it was a new metal roof on the pitched portion and a new torch down roof on the flat portion. i was only getting gutters to replace the 4 inch with six inch and as a result of there being one section of gutter missing and one seam in a gutter leaked. The repair roofer found holes slashed in the flat roof section of the house and the edge torn up. I asked him if they looked new and he indicated that there was no debris in them so they were very new otherwise the debris from the tree would have been in them. I found these guys on craigslist as i am having issues with the quality of the people that Angie's list sends out since they have been purchased by home advisor. I will now only use licensed general contractors as they have to answer to the state if there is a complaint. It will be worth the extra money to avoid not reputable companies like nick the gutter guy.

I contracted with A&L Gutters to put gutters on my house. They finished the installation on October…read more20th 2024. Upon completion Lauren walked me around the home and explained that they had run into a couple of problems with the installation but thought they would work out ok. She requested that I give the gutters a chance after a couple of rainstorms to see how they did and if anything was awry they would come back and correct the issue. On October 5th I texted Lauren and let her know that she was correct about one of the areas being a problem and requested that they come back and fix the issue. On October the 7th I received a text saying that they would make an effort to come fix it the next day. On October the 14th I texted again to request repair and received a text back that they would be out the next day to repair it. On October the 16th I was notified that Brian the installer was very sick and couldn't work. On October 29th I requested the finishing of the job once again and was told on November 1st that the gutter trailer was in the shop and as soon as its out they will come fix it within the next two days at the latest. November 5th I asked again about the work and replied that I was going to file a grievance, I was promptly replied that they said they would said they would try to fix it but never promised me a fix, they said that they came back by and decided that it could not be done and guaranteed to work, and that I would be liable for any damage that occurred to my roof if they did any more work. I have documentation of every text sent back and forth and it has been 42 days since I paid A&L in full and they have not owned up to their part of the deal.
