Absolutely the worst, never answers or returns calls, emails, voicemails. I was told to follow up with a PCP due to a lump in my breast and I never got a return call or email. Then I was told by their front desk personnel after 11 months of trying to reach them that I should've just went to the emergency room. Wow! That's where I started and where I've been going because I can't even get an intake appt with my so called PCP. Hence why I'm trying to get a fckn appointment! Don't waste your time, energy or money spent on insurance with these clowns. After all the bs they told me they would call back to schedule an appointment after taking my email, name, and dob. This office and doctor are horse sh_t at its finest. I wish I could give negative stars. read more

Dr. Valdez is amazing. Aside from the typical family check-ups, consultations, when her brother (who is a dermatologist) is in town, he's able to help. She's so friendly & her employees are always nice. & they're usually students who are genuinely interested in the medical field. I've gotten to know most of them waiting to get into the nursing program or OT. The only bad thing is that because she's so nice the conversations with patients take a bit longer than usual so be prepared to wait a little bit. Besides that, Dr. Valdez is great. She really cares about her patients & is always eager to hear about what's going on in their life. Horrible office. The dr herself is very nice easy to speak with. But the staff and trying to get through is a joke. They never answer the phone. Voicemails are never returned. Prescriptions along with referrals never get done. This office is not professional. Very dirty doesn't look like a mop has been run through those floors in months if that. It's a shame such a nice lady who runs her own practice has staff that don't make her practice look or run well. I decided to go through another' drs office. My first time there I was kind of iffy about the way it looked. It didn't look clean at all but when meeting the dr I felt a little more comfortable. My dad recently had to change primary doctors due to a change in his insurance. We were recommended to Dr. Amelia by a family member, let's be honest, because she's was Filipino and my dad being filipino thought he would receive better care from her. First of all, this office is so hard to get a hold of. Their phone either goes straight to voicemail or never gets answered. Also, it's unclear to what her office hours are. What really irritates me is that after my dad is seen she sends him off with new prescriptions saying that it has been called into the pharmacy but in all reality it never gets called in. So my dad is playing the waiting game for a few days and has to go back to her office just to ask about his prescription because they don't know how to answer the phone or return phone calls. Their patient care is nowhere to be found. I suggest you go somewhere else. read more

She accepted me when there were no other options to choose from. Since I have been under Dr. Valdez' care I have been nothing but satisfied, even when I moved out of Vallejo she provided me with a medical porthole to communicate to her. My husband recommended Dr Valdez to me. He had been seeing her for years and loved her. I saw her for the first time in early 2015. I made an appointment for an annual check up. I got my weight and blood pressure taken after waiting 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, then had about 5 minutes with her before she left the room. I had to come back for another appointment for the actual exam. 3 weeks later, I only waited for 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment. You could not meet a nicer person. Dr Valdez is very nice, if you can get in to see her. I can only assume she does not know how to run a business. I have called no less than a dozen times to get a referal. I have left messages for half of those calls. Absolutely no response from her staff. Once, a live person answered the phone. I was put on hold for 40 minutes. I finally had to hang up so I could use the restroom. When I called back, the answering machine let me know they were at lunch; I had to leave a voicemail, again. No response, again. I gave up. Who really wants to have a colonoscopy anyway? Today I need a referal to an ENT. When I called, the phone rang about 15, maybe 20 times. No answering machine picked up. Finally, someone picked up and then disconnected without saying hello. I guess it's not so good for waiting room clients to hear the phones ringing unanswered for so long. I called right back and someone answered and asked if I would please hold. Not a chance! They wouldn't give me a referal, insisting I come in since I hadn't been seen this year. I said only if I could be seen in the next 72 hours. I was told I could be triple booked for an appointment, 3 days from today, if I didn't mind waiting. I took the appointment. I'll write a follow up on what a triple booked appointment looks like first hand. I hope it doesn't mean waiting for 90 minutes instead of just 30. Update, 10/7/16: I arrived at my appointment 30 minutes early in hopes of being seen somewhere near my appointment time. I guess you could say it worked. Only 55 minutes of waiting to be called in and they warned me ahead of time. I waited another 10 in the office and had 3 minutes with the Doc, just enough to decline the Flu shot and let her know why I needed the referrals. (Yes, mnore than one) I figured I'd better get any age related testing done now. I don't want to have to come back for another two years. read more

Dr. Amelia B Valdez is one of the BEST doctor's in Solano county. I have been a patient of hers for over 5 years. Yes it is sometimes hard to get someone on the phone but once you get in to see her it is well worth the wait. She is very down to earth, she lets you participate in your care and doesn't just TELL you what SHE thinks is best for YOU she actually cares enough to allow you to give your input. Some doctors don't even examine you up close but shes not afraid to get in there and figure out the problem. After seeing her for so long I even recommended my own mother to see her as well. read more

Dr. Valdez is a mediocre doctor. Her staff is horrifically bad. In fact, to call them awful is an insult to anything awful. My point is, if she thinks her staff is acceptable, what does that say about the seriousness of her practice or level of esteem she holds her patients. You can do better. read more

Dr. Valdez is great, but the staff not so great. They are all friendly, but no one is their when you need them. They don't answer phone calls or email even if they have it on their contact info. It is hard to get what you need and get a response from the Daly City location. read more

I tried tirelessly to get an appointment, but no matter what day or time they always leave their answering machine on. Finally, I contacted Blue Shield and they left me on hold and called. Surprise, they picked up for Blue Shield. I had my appointment and Dr. Valdez was very friendly, but she did not perform the physical I had requested when I set the appointment up. She scheduled me for several blood tests. When my blood tests were available, Quest said they could not release my results and said I needed to speak with my doctor. Again, I could not get a hold of them at the office AND no attempt to reach out to me. California law, according to Quest's website, states that results need to be provided by 14 days from the date blood was drawn. Fifteen days had gone by so I filled out a form on Quest's website so they would reach out to the office. May 27th my blood was drawn and it wasn't until July 5th Quest was given the go ahead to release my results, however the doctor NEVER called me. I looked at my results, and was alarmed that 8 of the tests were in the "high" range. I immediately called the doctor's office and again nobody answered so I left a message saying that I was alarmed and please contact me. I still have not received a return call and it is now August. My mother was concerned and paid for me to go to her doctor in San Jose (my insurance does not cover her) and immediately she put me on Diabetes medication, cholesterol meds, and blood pressure pills!! I am very upset that Dr. Valdez and her staff left me hanging. In my opinion she should receive negative stars and I will be filing a complaint with Blue Shield. I have had problems reaching Doctor Valdez and they never answer the phone. Once I was able to get an appointment for my daughter she rushed through it and spoke very fast and I'm not sure that she really understood what we were trying to say. I was willing to overlook that because what she suggested we try made sense but my daughter became very ill this week and I've been trying to reach them and every time I call I get the answering machine. I tried leaving a message and the recording was cancelled by the system. I was able to finally leave a message today but I don't have any hopes of hearing back from them anytime soon. I've been a patient of hers for a couple of years now. She is a very nice lady, however the professionalism of her staff is very lacking. Not only is the office filthy but they NEVER answer the phone and it takes days for them to return calls. I always leave 2-3 messages before I get a call back. I've even had to call her other office to have them relay messages to her. She rushes through my visits when I go and I never seem to get to many answers or input from her. I have only seen her a few times though. The last visit I had my BP was very high and she told me to change my diet and come back in a month and she'll check it again??? I am a 59 year old veteran in finding the best family doctor. Me & my wife was so lucky to have found Dr. Valdez in the list of doctors we have gathered. She really spends time with her patient, entertaining all your questions with very precise and positive approach, she is so warm hearted and sincere in her performance of her work, treats you like you are part of her family, and she is one jolly good doctor! I have been a patient with Dr. Valdez for 15 years now, at both her previous and present Vallejo offices. I see her at least annually for my physical and paps. I have always found Dr. Valdez to be a very good listener and to offer excellent bedside manner. She is very knowledgeable about nutrition and will encourage me to consider certain foods, dietary supplements and exercise when it's called for. Her specialist referrals, when needed, have always been excellent, as well. At appointments, my waits in Dr. Valdez's reception area are very short. The reason there is an answering machine on at the Vallejo office most of the time, is very simple: She works at her Vallejo office only 2-3 days a week, as she is working out of her Daly City office the other days. Since she is the only physician at the practice, her phones can't be staffed full-time if she's not there. Because of this, if you are one who typically needs a local doctor who is available at short-notice, then perhaps Valdez is not for you. In my case, however, my non-emergency appt. calls are always returned the day after I leave a message (if I called on a day she is in Daly City instead of Vallejo), and she can usually get me in on a day the following week. read more
