I was charged for a full 30+ minute visit ($255) for what was actually a virtual Covid diagnosis call, which should have been something like $25 as advertised at their office. This happened 10 months ago and I am still getting the run around from their billing department. I spoke to someone months ago who said she was looking into it and has never called me back. Their outgoing voice mail says they will return voice messages within 24 hours. They have not once called me back after 3 or 4 follow-up inquiries. 2. They charge a higher amount for 30 minutes-or-less visit, as they do for a 31-to-40 minute visit. If I schedule a 30 minute visit, and it happens to go over by a minute or two, I don't think it's my responsibility to watch the clock. I find it dishonest to let the appointment run over and then charge me more. The efficiency of the office flow should be on them, not the patient. I am not a difficult patient who sticks around and asks multiple extra questions. This happened on a different office visit than the Covid call mentioned above. Strike 2. 3. I just got charged a $25 appointment cancelation fee for a recent appointment I had to miss due to showing Covid symptoms. From my point of view, I didn't cancel the appointment -- they did! Of course, no once answers when you try to call and discuss (see point 1). 3 strikes, time to move on to someone else.

Also Carrie , Dwayne and Jerome. Not only is it rare to find a good place like this, but to even find one good employee. Here there were many. Also my grandma couldn't stop talking about the food. I came across Avance while doing a Google search within the Briar Creek area. Reviews boasted about evening and weekend availability which is scarce here in Raleigh. Since relocating from New York in 2020 I learned that many providers only offer weekday appointments which are always during the work day for me. Avance offers patients convenience and that is priority for me. I scheduled my appointment online with Dr. Batouli and was able to get a morning appointment within the same week for a annual physical. The receptionist answered questions by phone before visiting and upon arrival I checked in quickly and was taken for weight and vitals. No wait at all. I met with Dr. Batouli who did a comprehensive assessment/ questionnaire, we discussed annual screenings and my medical history. Completing blood work here was a dream ! The young lady I met was so kind and so quick ! She did not struggle with my teeny tiny veins at all. The facility is clean, spacious and modern. They offer womens health services as well. I would recommend this practice to anyone in the area. They're excellent.

My primary care physician is willing to admit he needs to research something, and follows the rule that he prescribes what he would do for himself or a family member, not just what the current standard is.
