BEWARE!! I have used this company for years for hotel and residential projects. Unfortunately my most recent experience was on my home. I bought the slabs from their recommended supplier. AMD picked up the slabs to do the fabrication. A computer generated slab layout was provided and approved by me. when the tops showed up, one of the smallest tops were installed with a seam which was not part of the approved layout. Secondly one of the slabs was brought out and installed with a crack that they tried to hide it by repairing it. We have made repeated calls to get it corrected. But all we get is lip service. We are turning this over to our Attorney And notifying the Contractors License board. It's really ashamed that they are not a stand up company. Oh yeah, I paid them in full. Big mistake. STAY AWAY! We were going to go thru Home Depot for our new countertops. We didn't want to tear out our cabinets and demo the kitchen. We only wanted to tear out the tile. Consequently, we had fewer options in terms of cooktops and sinks. We found a sink to fit but needed to be sure. After the HD vendor failed to have a meaningful conversation with our sink vendor, we went with a recommendation to speak with Alberto at AMD. We cleared up the sink sitch and even got the original quartz pattern we originally wanted for a better price. The demo was no muss no fuss and it was really quiet. AMD waited patiently while we restored a wall and got our microwave installed. Then, in the blink of an eye they arrived to finish the job with the sink perfectly installed, the hole for our cooktop centered over our new microwave, and every electric socket opening cut to location. The new California law to protect stone workers must've been drafted because AMD's guys are so good at what they do! The outside cleanup was a little messy for our neighbors but otherwise this mini-reno was a cinch. read more

Alberto and his crew help us fabricated our kitchen slabs. We met him at his place to go over cutout and when the day came to install his guys were there all day to get it completed. Mind you they had to bring an 8footer island slab up the stairs and they got it done! The major pieces were cut from the slabs but some were fabricated on site. After finishing, they sealed the natural stone with Stone Pro porous pro and BAM our kitchen is finally done. Although they did a great job with the entire project an outlet was overlooked and wasn't big enough to get mounting screws in properly. We didn't want to take a chance and grind it out ourselves, so contacted Alberto and his guys came back to help widen it. Much appreciated. read more

In May of this year 2019, I had this company AMD Stone Touch doing the counter top replacement for a rental in Palm Desert. I called Alberto, the owner because he previously did a kitchen counter top for me in Orange County. The quartz counter top replacement was good, I paid the full bill, then I realized few days later that his cut out of 20x35 for the 36" cook top was not going to fit with the 36" replacement. It would require an additional one inch cut for the depth to be 21x35 inches instead. I informed him immediately, and he text me to order a new one and he would send his worker to fix it. Fast forward, after receiving the new cook top, I contacted him numerous time, but he neither answered the phone, nor return my text messages. Finally, he responded and asked for an additional $150 to send his worker to fix the cut out. I hesitantly agreed, since he should honor his work, but I just needed to get it fixed. A month went by, because his schedule was either very busy or his crew was not in the Desert area, and I had to leave the rental vacant for the duration, because without the cook top, I could not show the property to the prospective tenants. I finally had to find a local handyman to fix it. If standing behind the work quality is important to you, the willing to make things right when it happens wrong, then I do not and can not recommend this company to you. read more

Do not use this company! We have reached out to Alberto, the owner of AMD Stone Touch Inc. many times for him to come back to our home to inspect and fix the work his employees did immensely wrong. I have also called his wife who is the office manager to ask her husband to call me back without any success. I have also reached out to AMD Stone Touch by writing them a letter to ask if they will come back and fix the problems they have caused in my newly purchased home.I will list only a couple of issues as to not write a lengthy review. The grout in two of our showers was done so poorly, I have to hire a new contractor to fix what was done wrong. For some odd reason his workers used two different colors inside on my shower floor tile, when they were specifically shown which colors of grout to use. There is also white grout "caked" in several different places on the grey flooring they installed. Furthermore, my tile was cut wrong and asymmetrical. My shower tile floor is a horrible mess. I will be hiring a new contractor who know's what they are doing to rip out the entire shower floor and start all over again at my expense. The workmanship and quality is poor to say the least and don't expect to have your work done right because the owner will refuse to call you back to make any sort of effort to fix anything you are not happy with. To add insult to injury, his workers neglectfully did not bother to cover any plumbing as they worked and they dropped all kinds of debris and concrete into our shower drain causing a backup in our plumbing. Lastly, the workers severely scratched my white bathtub again, another expense to fix what they damaged. read more
