7/9/2025, We brought our 5 year old Rico to see his first movie Toy Story 5. I've been living in Norwalk For 8 years now and this is the first time in AMC SoNo 8. A Thursday night pretty empty upon entering, I ordered our ticket off the kiosk. The concession lady wasn't rude but wasnt happy to be there neither. Got our snacks, they young didnt check out tickets he was to busy on his phone. We found our seats, it was sticky with left over popcorn and snacks. Besides that the theater was decent size seats had lay back recliner and a mini table to hold snacks plus drinks. Not too too shabby! RICO WAS HAPPY! read more

Theater is tired looking and really needs a update or renovation. The leather seat material in some theaters is so dilapidated looking that the fabric is ripped completely away from the seat itself that you can't even use it. The areas behind the screens are full of dust. The good thing is they have security on weekend evenings in case there are any issues. read more

My experience at Sono Norwalk today was filled with the utter most disgusting person to have ever scanned my ticket. I just wanted to see this movie where I am 18 and had my id and my friend was also 18 but didn't because she wasn't driving and she did not let us go in. Everyone else was cool except for her. My day was ruined and I even bought a slushy. She should definitely be fired from amc. read more

This was my second time seeing a movie at this theater. There is paid parking lot close to the theater, but we chose to park for free elsewhere and walk. The staff was friendly, the theatre was comfortable and clean. We were able to buy tickets in advance online with a discount for seeing an earlier show. From our seats we had a great view of the screen. The acoustics were decent although we could occasionally hear some booming sounds from the theatre next to us. (It was Taylor Swifts concert movie). Restrooms were clean but needed to be restocked on soap and toilet paper. Getting in and out was fast and easy. read more

I went with my parents to watch 28 years later and the worker Sydney was really sweet and patient with us after we kept changing our order multiple times It's people like her that make movie experiences the Best! read more

The theater was roomy. The seats were extremely comfortable. The only thing that I didn't like was that it was too cold inside the theater. So next time I go and I definitely will go back to watch how to train your Dragon. I'm going to bring some extra warm clothing with me so that I'm not uncomfortable with the air conditioning system that they have there. I only watched the movie so I do not have any experience on their food or any other conveniences that they have to offer. But I have been to the theater many times before in the past and yes, I do love it and I definitely going back soon. read more

Great place to work you have a lot of different options for improving and climbing the ladder and different theaters and transferring to other theaters as your life changes it's a great stepping stone getting out of school for your first job bartending is great for the experienced ones and the ones trying to learn AMC kitchen is another one great for the experience and also a great place to learn each theater has its own personality especially in Connecticut some kitchens are bigger than others some bars are bigger than others maybe no bar or kitchen it's just the experience the morale the history and definitely our guests is what makes me keep walking in that door each week I get to see the same faces for Tuesday for next Tuesday can't wait to see what's next and now Wednesday will have more surprises to come for the summer nice place to cool down while walking through town or to end off your night or begin your night whatever way you want to look at it read more

Women's bathroom has the scariest staircase of.... Let me let your imagination roll. Kid you not, showing ended at 12 am, and I thought Michael's Myers was going to get me in the bathroom. Literal black dark staircase as soon as you enter. If you just watched a scary movie... tread lightly. But the actual theater was nice, comfortable seats and clean. read more

First, the staff was lovely. The lady at the front desk answered questions over the phone, and had great energy. Hooray for customer service. If you choose to go, get directions on the lot. Prior to 6 PM they will validate. We parked at 5, went to dinner, returned, went to the movie, and our parking was covered. The staff had to tell us where in the lot to be though. That being said, the movie going experience was just "ok." The seats were completely worn down. The headrests looked like they had been through a war. One of the seats we reserved was completely busted and a mess. The theater we were in was only slightly larger than a standard conference room. The seats rows were on the slightest of slants, making viewing unnecessarily obscured. Then, through no fault of the theater save perhaps the patronage it attracts, the people in the theater had no sense of decorum, reminding me of why I watch at home. read more

We had an awful experience at the AMC 64 N Main St, Norwalk, CT 06854 Sonic Hedgehog 3:10pm show. A group of teenagers were in the theater, very rowdy and ruined the experience for everyone. They were loud, disrespectful and took random seats and also sat in the aisles, which isn't safe. Additionally, they spoke throughout the entire movie, took photos of my wife and children and took photos of other children in the theater. My wife and children felt unsafe and the whole experience was awful. This is on top of the line at concessions take 30 minutes to get snacks and part of the lights were left on during the movie. read more

The AMC in SoNo is not a great choice. You have to pay for parking and the popcorn sucks. I mean my popcorn-aholic daughter tried a couple of handfuls and that was it. There was so much salt my wife who adds salt to everything said it was inedible. After first offering a new bag of popcorn and then a voucher they finally refunded my daughter's money. The theatre on Westport Ave in Norwalk is much better or go to Stamford where there are a great bunch of restaurants and bars around for before or after. read more

The Mac and cheese balls tasted like a moldy wet gym sock -- just how I like it. Couldn't have been better.

This theater is NOTa place to enjoy a movie. The lobby and theaters we're a mess with popcorn and other trash all over the place. We were in theater 6 and we might as well been in a sauna. When I complained about the temperature the first time they did NOTHING. Finally half way through the movie I got up a second time dripping with sweat and complained again to the manager I was told they couldn't do much about it. The concession area was small and far from the butter and other condiments. Overall a horrible place to see a movie. With so many other options around this would be the last place I would pick. Save yourself and your money and go someplace else! read more

I came here today on Thanksgiving and received the WORST customer service by this one lady. I took my 2022 popcorn bucket, and they told me they don't participate. EVERY AMC participates on this. They told me they stopped doing it in Connecticut. Guess what? I can go to the other AMC in Norwalk and use my bucket for the 4.99 refill no problem, I can go to Stamford and use it, Danbury and use it, no problems. They said they stopped doing it since COVID. I bought the bucket in Connecticut, this year as it CLEARLY says it's a 2022 bucket. Thankfully the guy ringing us up actually knew us, and knows we use the bucket every time we go. If you're going to work for a company, know your company's policies. I've been using the yearly bucket since Carmike theaters, before AMC bought them. Garbage customer service, arguably the worst customer service I've experienced. Nothing but flat out lies from her AND her GM. read more
