Went to go see The Northman with my girlfriend on a Friday night. Both of us are 18. Ticket-counter guy hunts us down to ID us for the movie we bought tickets to. I had my license but my girlfriend did not. Would not accept a clear photo of her ID and denied us from the movie. The refund I got for the tickets was not even the right amount that I paid. I will give credit to the power-hungry ticket guy, he single-handedly prevented a catastrophic violation of movie ratings regulation. I recommend him for hire by the Movie Age Enforcement Agency. Anyway, I will never be returning to AMC Marple 10. Regal Edgemont is cheaper and more reasonable. read more

The reclining chairs at this place make me want to go to more movies. The theater temperature was just right - no need for layers upon layers of sweaters like most theaters! My one gripe would be that you have to choose your seat upon purchasing a ticket. While this idea is good in theory, it just doesn't work. My friend and I chose seats D5 and D6, but not one, but two people claimed those were their seats too! Luckily, the theater was not crowded so we just moved up a row. Aside from the ridiculous seat selection, the price to see a movie at 2:00pm was over $11. Not much of a bargain if you ask me. By far one of the worst reclining theatres I've been to. Did I go on a bad night? Regardless, I'm not going back. The BF & I bought tickets to watch the Justice League. The floors were super dirty & sticky. There were crumbs everywhere, I mean everywhere. Not just the theatre I watched the movie in, but all over the lobby as well. The new seating is almost worse than the old seating. The chairs are new, but they don't recline to a comfortable position. It's like they tilt up a little and the foot rest comes up half way and that's it. The final position is worse than just sitting straight up (so what's the point?). Both my husband and I both had aching backs by the end of a 90 minute movie. In addition, there isn't enough room for someone to walk in front of you when you are "fully reclined." Lastly, I'm not sure the seats up front are elevated enough to see over the giant seats in front of them. We were in the way way back so I can't confirm, but it looked that way. Other than that, it's the same crappy old movie theater. They couldn't afford a new coat of paint for the columns outside? C'mon. Oh, and the theater was damp and smelled musty even when the AC kicked on (in 5 minute blasts). The popcorn was burnt and stale (and $6 for a small but hey that's what you get when you have kids). On the plus side, I didn't see any rats and the movie played just fine. There is plenty of parking. The Regal in Newtown Square is waaaayy better. It's great, actually. AMC premier membership policy or procedures don't follow here at Marple 10. The employees don't care if you pay extra for this as a member and they don't bother to look when you're standing in line. I had to ask the front ticketing stand if they were taking any premier members in line. Otherwise people don't know and they would get in front of the line anyway. Other customers were getting upset and the staff seems to ignore the situation. Let me reiterate, this membership is lame if AMC staff don't follow. It makes everyone upset. Including the customers that didn't understand and made it personal that I stood in a premier line. read more

This is a smaller theater in comparison to the larger big city theaters I've been to, but it holds a certain quality that I enjoy. It's clean, the sounds system is solid, and the staff is very nice. Continue to do great work! read more

I'm loving this trend of movie theaters replacing their old, uncomfortable stadium seating and replacing them with big comfortable reclining chairs and assigned seating. In the era of VOD and HBO, movie theaters need to adapt in order to bring people into theaters. And I have to admit, the large seats to match the large movie screen is very appealing. The theater itself is also pretty nice - modern interior, tickets that are only a little bit pricey, and a wide selection of very overpriced snacks from the snack bar, now with the calories listed so you can marvel at how they can jam in 2,000+ calories into a hot dog. This theatre is absolutely disgusting. Our seats we paid for had candy and tissues all over and the staff wouldn't clean it. There was also candy all down the center along with a tampon, like how lovely. Seats were sticky and the ac didn't seem like it was on. Today i went to go see hereditary and as soon as i walked up to the window to order my ticket there was a young male working who saw me and proceeded to talk to his co-workers laughing and pretending i did not exist. When he finally turned to us my boyfriend asked him a question and he acted like he couldnt be bothered with our questions. Ive been a stubs member for years and lost my card a few months ago but have a picture of it that still scans which i use once a week because im always seeing movies and he asked a female co-worker if i could do that and she looked at me and laughed and said nah. I was so mad i forgot to grab my tickets and as i walked away he says infront of everyone else in line "well, you cant go anywhere without your tickets and practically throws them at us." Young man cleaning Theater #2 did not have enough time to clean the mess, but did the best he could. Bathroom had toilet paper on the floor to share between the stalls. Came here recently for the first time in years, and they have completely redone the place. Seating is now assigned, you pick your seat when you pick your ticket, which can be a good or bad thing. Tickets are pricy and concessions are even more expensive. However, the new reclining seats are awesome. The seats are super comfy and have buttons on the side so you can adjust them to your liking. When we saw the movie there were no obnoxious teenagers in the crowd, which had been the case in the past, but this could have been because we were seeing a sunday matinee. Before, I would never even consider going to this theater, but now it will be on my list of options. Staff wasn't that friendly. read more

The only reason I'm giving this theater 2 stars today is because the seating is awesome and it's has been my favorite theater. I'm watching Captain America right now and doing a slow burn. The $8.00 popcorn is chewy and over salted and our $5 water bottles are warm. WTF? It took 10 min and a call to a manager for two cashiers to locate the water bottles. Maybe that manager should be making sure that the concession stand is fully stocked and the popcorn is fresh and doesn't taste like a stick of salt. My lips are actually burning from the salt. Decent movie spot. The popcorn is good and customer service is okay. I like that they have soda machines where you can fill up the drink yourself. The only complaint I'd have is nobody was checking tickets when we walked in. also the theater was very very crowded. The staff was friendly, service was quick. Theater was comfy, but food not fresh. I had popcorn, hubby at garlic parmesan pretzel bits. Hubby was sick soon as we got home, he had diarrhea, was vomiting, had hot/cold sweats. I started feeling the same at 4am. I have been in bed all day sick. Which was needed, however I would recommend buying your tickets online ahead of time because you have to stand in line and then you have to choose on the screen where you want to sit, that takes a while. It was a Wednesday night and not that crazy busy and the snack stand looked like a mess so much that I didn't even feel like buying anything there. There is one thing I can recommend for the theater. Try and get those tables attached to the seats, for purposes of having a place to put the refreshments on. The arm rests between the seats are not meant to hold anything because my popcorn fell off it, and I lost about half of it. The popcorn is not cheap either. The new renovations, primarily that of choosing your own reclining seats, bumps this back from 2 to 3 stars. Not sure if this bump is more of a product of the appeal of newness in the place or more indicative of a permanent change in ambiance. Here's to hoping for the latter. This is my movie theatre of choice due to distance from my house and the recliner seats. I also purchased the premier membership which ends up paying for itself if you frequent the movies at least every other month. I also enjoy the feature to purchase tickets in advance because I am always late to the movies and it is nice to know I will still get a good seat because my seats are already predetermined. The food is kind of expensive, so I typically eat before I come. For the most part the theaters are clean and presentable. It does get cold sometimes in the theaters so I typically bring a jacket. read more

I go here nearly once a week to see a movie and it's great. Every theater has recliners, the food options are more varied than your average theater, and reserved seating coupled with plenty of parking is a plus. The theater is also usually pretty low-key, so it's not usually a mad house there, and it's not a nightmare to maneuver the parking lot by any means. I'd suggest not going on Tuesdays, though - those nights there are $5 tickets, meaning that EVERYONE who can possibly fit in there is there, and it'll take you a long time to get food or even walk through a crowd. The buffalo chicken flatbread they offer is surprisingly good, and the staff is almost always diligent and helpful. They also have Coke Freestyle and ICEE Machines for drink choices. All in all, a great theater. It's super close to my house so I can't imagine going anywhere else. read more

I love Marple AMC...the new style seating is great however BIG problem although the seating is comfortable food tend to fall on... in...and down the back of the seat...I had to dig popcorn and other stuff out of my seat before sitting down. As I was sitting felt like I was being bitten and to my surprise I was...I have bite marks on my legs and another area I care not to mention...I did inform the cleaning staff that seats need to be cleaned thoroughly because I was being bitten...her expression was such that she could care less... and another employee said she's off duty but if she was on that she would clean the chairs... she said she did hear about people getting bitten before... albeit comfortable I'll take the old seat back any day as opposed to having a bug PROBLEM.... same issue at Regal out and Conshohocken in Plymouth Meeting my friend got eaten alive a couple weeks ago when we went to see a movie she sent me pics and asked if i had got bitten that day and i had not...but this time and i was by myself at this AMC I did... read more

The seats are not as comfortable as other AMCs I've been to. The chairs only recline a tad bit- putting your back in an awkward position. I have a bad lower back, so I was in pain during most of the movie. Other AMCs I've been to have chairs that recline further back. read more
