My first job was in a movie theater in the 80's in a mall. 2 years, everyone enjoyed their job. didnt seem like anyone here does. NO DOORMAN, NO TICKET TAKER or even a ticket booth. I'm currently sitting in the theater waiting to watch The Accountant 2. The theater stinks !!! smells of body odor, and possibly a sour mop or a urine filled mop not sure which. The railings have little paint left on them. The seating is worn and obviously filthy. I haven't been to a movie I a while. I won't be coming back here unless it's bought out or completely renovated. the smell is a bit much. I've never complained on line or given a review on a business before. Management allows very dangerous activity around the theater due to young thugs that aren't there to watch a movie but only to hangout in the parking lot taking up parking spaces and driving recklessly in the parking lot almost hitting people trying to go see a movie this happens every Friday night and on the weekends there is NEVER a police presence! I will drive an hour away to go see a movie before I waste money and endanger myself and my vehicle at this theater! read more

Older theater with some definite wear showing and staff not so friendly. But still a good getaway to see 5$ movie on Tuesdays. Amc has good program they just need to revamp a few old theaters and add some upgrades to stay up with technology read more

While the movie we went to see was great, the experience was extremely subpar. For one, we had to wait in a line for 20 minutes that was also the concession stand line, makes no sense. The auditorium for the showtime we purchased tickets for was full, so we had to go to another showing of the same movie that had already started. This AMC was so much better when I was growing up, maybe they're under inexperienced management now. They need people checking the tickets out front to make sure people do not just walk in. We shouldn't have even purchased tickets and just walked in. Very unlikely I'll be going back again. Oh yeah, and the prices are ridiculous... read more

Needs major updates from the seats, to the sound, to the screens. Everything centers around concessions (including buying the tickets). Cullman really needs a new theater (by a different owner, as the owner of this AMC seems cheap.) They didn't accept shareholder's perks, and on contacting AMC corporate, they told me that all AMC's are supposed to accept them. They said next time if they didn't to file a complaint. read more

They put in "new seats" but they are so uncomfortable. The rest of the theater needs updated. The arm rests do not move. They pressed right on my scars from my recent hip replacements. I had to practically stand the entire movie. I will never go to this theater again. read more

I do not recommend the AMC theater in Cullman at all. I would give negative stars if possible. I had preordered and paid for the Jurassic popcorn tins earlier in the week. They then proceed to tell me they sold out last night - I had paid for mine on Thursday. The management was rude as all get out. No straws, no popcorn salt, and it was dirty. read more

The past several times I've been to this specific theater, the movie either studdered, had no audio, had muffled sound, or the picture was frozen while the audio kept going... 2 of the previous 5 or so visits have ended with us getting refunded. The first was because after resetting the tape, it still wasn't working. The second one they had to move us to a smaller theater, and my family and I was sitting at the top, so by the time we made it to the other theater there wasn't any seats left! read more

This theatre has gone down hill on a consistent downward decline of appearance, cleanliness, and in customer service ever since AMC purchasing the place. It's better to drive to Decatur or Huntsville where the place is clean, your feet don't stick to the floor, and your not nervous about leaning your head against the filthy seat read more

This theatre needs a major renovation. The seats are worn out, the carpet needs to be replaced, the restrooms need a good cleaning. The workers are friendly, and the popcorn is always good, but I would rather drive to Huntsville and pay a few extra dollars to sit in a nicer theater. read more

Whelp....the movie was good. Couldn't tell ya on the staff. Didn't talk to a single employee the whole time there. There are employees there? Movie started late. Someone forgot to push the play button I guess? Bathroom was disgusting. Dirty toilets with a few not working. Water in two stalls. No soap. Trash on the floor. I do really enjoy going to this theater. It's clean and the young staff is friendly. From 4 pm to 5:30 pm you can get super discounted tickets for $5.50. However, if you're like my husband and I and prefer a less crowded theater then I'd suggest paying the extra $1.50 per ticket and go earlier in the day if you're going to see a more popular movie. Cullman has a large population of teenagers who hang out at this theater and the neighboring WalMart and sometimes it's nice to avoid the teenage crowds. If you're taking your kids for a day out check into the specials they have in the summer for kids. We took advantage of the $17.50 popcorn bucket which you can refill anytime for just $3.50. We have thoroughly gotten our money's worth from it. After your movie go across the parking lot to 32 degrees, a frozen yogurt bar. Right now they have discounts when you show them your movie ticket. read more

The day after Christmas & of course you're going to be busy, yet you have ONE register open. People are lined out the door when they finally open a second register, however, the two working are painfully slow. Neither have good customer service, do not smile, nor greet attendees. The concession line was equally long but NO ONE seemed to care. It was as though everyone was in slow motion. I am very confused as to why AMC was so understaffed. read more

This theater is terrible. Ever since it changed from Carmike to AMC it went down the drain. The 2 times I have been here since it changed to AMC it has taken over 45 minutes to get through the concession lines. The premier lines are crap and some people can not afford to pay for a premier membership so they have to wait while "premier members" jump in front of everyone. I can't tell you how many people jumped in line causing everyone else to wait 45 minutes for snacks/tickets that takes a mir minutes at other theaters. I will take my business elsewhere from now on! read more

We come here a lot . This place has gone down in the last few months it's very dirty ,the bathrooms are disgusting , I feel like bringing my own towels to cover the seats in the theater . They need to invest some money in fixing things up . It smells old and musty . The staff is nice and they always take care of the premier customers. read more

Cullman's Carmike cinema is a relatively new movie theater, so it is still clean and it is very accessible. Most recently, we came on a Tuesday night to see Sully. The tickets were $5 each, and there was also a discount on concessions. We all know that movie theater concessions can be pricey, so Tuesdays are the best night to go if you are on a budget. We had purchased the refillable popcorn bucket earlier this year, and refills are $4. It holds more popcorn than two people should consume over the course of a 90 minute movie, so share with your friends! This Carmike is also a partner with Fandango, so you can buy your tickets before you arrive. Soooo convenient on blockbuster movie opening weekends. All of this combined - cheap tickets, affordable snacks, good flicks - make an affordable date night! read more
