Usually, the Vintage Park is my go to location, but was close to here to meet friends, that we stopped in. Ambiance: 5/5 It is bigger than the other one with a spacious outdoor area. Inside is busy and bustling, the weather was good so enjoyed sitting outside and had the heat lamps on to help keep warm too. Service: 3/5 It was brunch time, so as shared, it was busy, I am mindful of that given staff and crowd, service will vary. But from when we walked in, and after we put our order in, I ended up taking my friends water because no one came to refill. Our waitress was present, not really engaging, almost seemed overwhelmed. Also, the cups had some residue from when they were washed. Food: 3/5 Chilaquiles sarteneados, with tomatillo green sauce and added chorizo and scrambled egg. I stuck to what I know to get. But unfortunately was met with a strange wonder. I thought it was just me, but I had my friend try the chorizo and it tasted bland. He too got chorizo on his plate and didn't have flavor. The side of fruit with Tajin is always an enjoyable side that's included with the plate. Drinks: 5/5 Carajillo - Ambriza has some great cocktails, from their margaritas to the Carajillo I had, it was just as it should be. I like that they don't serve it with ice in the glass. But the flavors were right on par with it not being too sweet and just the right taste of espresso. Overall, Ambriza has a big menu selection for anyone's taste and their drinks tend to be delicious. Usually when I visit I feel at home, here I did not.

Chicken empanadas

Nice location off the lake. Friendly service but very busy. I enjoyed the complimentary corn, chips & salsa. Food came out quickly yet it wasn't as I remember from their Katylocation. The margaritas were made right and the empanadas good but flautas a little dry and enchiladas light on sauce. Overall a nice evening out with the girls They do have free parking and photographer who comes around to offer a print out photo.

Let's just get right to the point...yes. Eat here. Tucked in the ends of Towne Lake right on the water, the outside ambiance is fantastic. The music can be a little overbearing depending on who is controlling the volume that day. But easily dismissed. The staff. I love the way the front end staff dress up in character as do my daughters. Usually quick to be seated, wait times have never been a problem. The wait staff. I fail to recall our server's name, I believe it was Daniel as we share a common name, if it was you and you are the young gentleman in college...hats off to you son. Masterful job, recommendations, and always smiling. The managers. They came by repeatedly to ensure we were being well sorted and to ask about the drinks, then the food, then to try and get our stuffed bellies into some dessert. This is like filling up your truck to the brim and saying sod it...I'll fill the bed up to for good measure...MADNESS (Get the Quatro Leches in short)...of course we did...heheheh. ON TO THE FOOD!!! Brunch: Egg Enfrijoladas - The short answer is yeeessss. It is basically all 4 food groups per bite...yet delicious. The black bean sauce is thick unctuous, and dare I say...no salt required (BLASPHEMY). If course you want this with the chorizo. The crema is an outstanding accompaniment, potatoes are different yet righteous, and the avocado was aplenty. Breakfast tacos...be prepared to eat these open face as you would be mad to try and wrap them...not a bad thing...The eggs were cooked perfectly and the wife opted for chorizo as well. I stole the pickeled onions. Eggs were cooked to perfection and dominated the plate. Excellent meat to egg ratio. Again...no salt required. Lunch: Street Corn. This is a MUST...ask for extra aioli and queso fresco on the side. Charred to perfection. Prep the floss. I'm goin in. Empanadas Chicken...absolutely divine. This is what pocket pies want to be when they get a little more grown up. The avocado sauce is to die for. Salt was needed for these...so I redeem myself. At this point can you tell we eat here a lot? Ceviche Tostadas. Mountainous with Mahi Mahi with the most excellent tequila lime sauce. Me and the chef must have words how to concoct this sauce...On a hot day. Margarita in hand...SO refreshing. Chicharron Pork Belly...this should be self explanatory as the only description needed is Yes. Wish it did come in a LITTLE larger portion...but it is quite calorie dense so it hits the spot. Comes with guac. Apply to chips at table. Smile. Tacos...PICK A TACO!!! ANY TACO (besides fish tacos...not my flavor...but if you like it...by all means...) I have yet to have one I did not like. If you held my feet to the fire...Barbacoa. Have napkins ready and eat it OVER the plate, arms extended or it will run down your forearms with juiciness. Mains: Just get the Carne Asada Tacos...I know this falls along with the Tacos portion of the review...but worth repeating. And it is Carne Asada. Self explanatory. Main Hack: Chipotle Chicken Dinner...ask for a side of Mole sauce. You're welcome. Yuca fries are so crispy and fluffy they are amazing. Those did need salt (yay!). DRINKS!!! The wife loves the Marg Rocks. And they will customize it to your preferences. Remember that service thingy I mentioned earlier? They make a tequila bourbon old fashion. You know my weapon of choice is only bourbon. This was different. It's like going to purchase a the big lifted truck but settling for a Platinum Edition for the ride quality. It is just a little smoother of an experience. WHEW. OK. You are probably done at this point. So. Excellent staff? Check. Excellent Management? Check. Great front end? Check. Diabolically delicious food all around? Check. How else can this end? Rock SOLID 5 stars. Well done. Eat here. I guess you could have skipped to this...but it was mentioned at the beginning.

I should have reviewed this place a long time ago because I've been coming here since they opened their first location in Louetta. The reason I stopped in the first time was because of all the Catrinas in the décor -- I'm obsessed with them! The ambiance is always on point. I typically go to the Town lake location, and it never disappoints. Mondays are all-day happy hour, which makes it even better. On a beautiful day, sitting outside and enjoying an amazing meal is such a great experience. The bar is very well stocked, the service is consistently on point, and the overall vibe is just right. Ambriza is one of my go-to spots, and I highly recommend you check it out!

CUATRO LECHES PANCAKES

Average experience overall. The pancakes were very delicious - very sweet (which is to be expected) but they were the star. Chilaquiles were boring and you had to add almost everything separately which racked up the price. What chilaquiles isn't coming with at least one egg already? The service was okay. I keep wanting to give them chances but it's to average for the price.

This was my first time trying Ambriza. We went for brunch with a friend. Very cute restaurant, right by the water. Since we were first timers, they gave us free pan dulce, which was the best I ever had!!! They were warm and fresh. So good. You can also purchase them off the menu or they were walking around with a cart selling them with hot chocolate. I got ranchero eggs. They were really good. Nice and flavorful! I wish I had photos but we inhaled it too fast! My husband got a chorizo burger and added an over medium egg to the burger. He said it was so good. TIP: not all Ambrizias have the same menu. We went to the Ambriza closer to us and they didn't have the same burger. But the food was still delicious!

I went for my birthday and sat at the bar. Awesome cocktails, food , and service! Great happy hour! Beautiful restaurant.

Whoa! This place is great!! Authentic taste, fresh ingredients, great decor inside, and outstanding service. My friend had been many times before so I had a guide to help navigate me. We ordered the Lorenza tacos, beef empanadas, and the Mexican street corn to share. We wanted to try a few different items, so ordering appetizers was the best way to do so. Each appetizer came with 3 to an order. Lorenza tacos are typically a happy hour menu item, but our server went ahead and asked the kitchen to make them for us anyway. They are a cross between a tostada and a taco. Topped with refried beans, cheese, and grilled steak cut into squares. They were absolutely delicious. Then we had the beef empanadas. The drizzle on the outside and the warm beef inside the crunchy shell was a great pair. The Mexican street corn came with a mini Tajin Seasoning. It was a nice touch. The real magic is the corn itself. So very tasty! You can get the corn on or off the cob, but I highly recommend on the cob. It can be a little messy, but it is so yummy! Our server was wonderful. She took good care of us, brought our items in a timely manner, and was all around pleasant. The decor inside is very nice with a circular bar in the middle. They also have outside patio seating by the water. It was too cold the day we went, so we opted for inside. First time guests receive a Mexican dessert bread. It too was very good. Of all the Mexican kitchens I have tried in my years, I would venture to say this place is one of the top 5. It is seriously fantastic!

Excellent view on patio!

For large parties yes but not regular groups. We had a group of about 15 and they would not seat us until at least 10 were there.

They had an amazing assortment of fresh fruits, cheese, breads, salads, breakfast foods, dips, pasta, and veggies. They also had a carving station with steak and chimichurri sauce. I tried the chicken sausage, steak, beet hummus, tomato salad, whipped feta, biscuits with jam, and an assortment of the veggies & fruits. I also ordered over easy eggs and French toast which they make and bring to the table to keep them fresh but they were included in the buffet. After eating we walked around a bit to see the farm and the animals. Such a cute place for a date or a family outing. The exterior is just as beautifully decorated. It's clear that chef-owner Lori Pope poured a lot of time, heart, and soul into both the menu and the store's design. The hostess was super friendly. As soon as I walked in, she gave me a warm and smiling greeting. The menu was a feast for the eyes. It had a lot of lovely pictures of the different dishes. I was ecstatic to see that there were so many vegetarian and vegan friendly options. Also, most of the dishes can be requested to be made gluten-free. Big plus. You don't order at your table, instead you go to the counter in the back and make sure to bring the sheet with your table number on it. The gal at the counter who took our order wasn't as friendly as the hostess but she was polite enough to inform us about the 15% charge. The food came out very quickly. Hopefully it's because they had a ton of people working in the back. Hopefully. I ordered the Magic Mushroom Tacos and thought it was a beautiful plate. My favorite thing about the dish is the tortillas. It had a nice light crisp to it and kept all the fillings intact from start to finish. The "Magic Mushrooms" were good but could have been better if the batter were lighter and crispier. The batter was a little on the heavy and dense side for me. I also think the sauce could be even better if it had a bit less oil and a bit more flavor. I really enjoyed the potato slices and the fresh berries were a great way to cleanse the palate. My lunch date ordered the Biscuit and gravy dish and thought it was good. We also ordered a side of the Belgian waffle to share. I thought the waffle on its own was extremely sweet and way too dense for my liking. I am happy there's a locally owned and created brunch place like Harvest Kitchen and will definitely be back to try other dishes. Note: There's an automatic 15% service charge to every order.

When we arrived, the restaurant was empty, and I will say our server was very nice and welcoming. One thing we immediately noticed, though, was that the menu prices were crossed out and changed. The waitress explained that prices have been fluctuating, but it did feel a little unpolished and confusing seeing gouged-out pricing on multiple items. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla, and my wife got the South of the Border omelet. We also had the roasted potatoes, which ended up being a very small portion. My main issue was that several items listed (or expected) didn't come as described. The quesadilla was supposed to come with sour cream and pico, but they weren't served on the side. We were told the pico was inside the quesadilla, which wasn't noted on the menu. Additionally, both dishes had raw, unsautéed onions mixed into the scrambled eggs. That wasn't listed in the description, and I personally don't like raw onions, so it definitely affected the meal for me. I think ingredients like that should be clearly stated. The cheese sauce tasted like standard heated nacho cheese and was very runny, not what we expected from a breakfast dish. The sour cream also tasted off. Overall, while the service was friendly, the food and menu presentation didn't meet expectations. Unfortunately, we probably won't be returning.
