Prior to the inspection, I had a few questions and Jason called me and took his time addressing my concerns. I didn't feel rushed and he was very friendly and put me at ease. My husband and I were not able to attend the inspection, but I felt totally comfortable with that after speaking with him. Our realtor raved about him and she was absolutely right to rave. He did a very thorough job inspecting the house and he called us that night to discuss it, and even sent us the final report the same day, despite it being late in his time zone. When he called us to discuss it, he took his time explaining his findings and answering our questions. We did not feel rushed at all. He is very friendly and personable and easy to talk to. The report was quite detailed and contained a lot of photos which I appreciated. I felt that I had a much better understanding of the condition of the house and I feel confident proceeding with the purchase. Jason made a potentially stressful experience very easy and smooth. This will be our fourth house purchase and he has been the best inspector that we have worked with by far, please do not hesitate to use his service!

Jason came with impressive scientific equipment and determined that there were high mold levels COMING FROM OUTSIDE my apartment building. We looked at the results together (two species of non-toxic mold) and with a few air purifiers I was free of that issue. As a physician with a degree in molecular biology I can tell you he has the right tools and talent in this field.

Albany Mold is in my view the shadiest business I've encountered since purchasing my home. The…read moreowner seemingly had no clue what he was doing. I would steer clear of this business (and beware that they have multiple aliases - e.g. Schenectady Mold and a few others). I contacted them in September 2021 for a mold issue that developed simultaneously in three bathrooms on the second floor, two of which were never used, and the third of which hadn't been used for months prior. Clearly, some investigative work was required. The owner, Adam, showed up himself with nothing but a flashlight and a ladder. He looked at the involved ceilings and looked in the attic (tasks I had performed myself) and within an hour had several explanations, none of which were based on anything that could be observed on inspection, and some of which were contradictory to one-another. Some of his recommendations were outright ridiculous - such as turning the bathroom fans on periodically, even when they're not being used. It was clear in my mind that he had little more than a layperson's knowledge of the issue, and at one point during the visit I actually wondered if I was being scammed. His $350 fee would have been reasonable, but as he had no rational answers whatsoever, I (politely) questioned it as I wrote the check. He took offense to this, and two days later sent me a rather nasty e-mail stating that he would not issue a mold assessment and would return my check. Not surprisingly, the check was not returned in over a week and I was forced to block it. In summary, it is my view that Albany Mold is not a competent business, and as a side issue, its owner has some issues with professionalism.

We also ended up getting a structural test for a great bundle price. Upon arrival there was team of two who tackled the home and completed the mold and structural test under an hour. They were extremely detailed when explaining the issues that did arise when they were done with the inspection on site and within a few hours of them leaving, I received the two full written reports with detailed explanations and local contractor recommendations for the issues that the did find in the attic. They also offer a follow up service for a check in inspection once you have the work completed in the home. I highly recommend this team! They were fast efficient and affordable.

He totally understands air monitoring, plumbing, heating, ventilation and so much more. What impressed us more was his promptness and caring for our situation. His follow-up was very reassuring, and we felt our situation was put into good hands. He directed us to the perfect company to remediate our problems, and kept in close contact all along the way. We would recommend him a hundred times over! Thanks, Russ

He also does a fantastic job scheduling things quickly and getting the inspection done fast, but he never is in a rush when he starts doing his process. Huge thank you to him!

Our initial office contact was with Jacqueline and she was great but then Chrissy took over and I can't say enough about her! She was always available for questions and despite being super busy she was able to move our project date up to accommodate our earlier closing date and communicated with our town building inspector throughout. At the house, Roger, Ross and Aaron were efficient, thorough and personable. They were really nice guys who left the front of the house the same way it looked before they pulled the tank out! You seriously can't tell they were even here! The price was as quoted without additional fees. We would HIGHLY recommend them for any job.
